Curious that people are upset about Mark getting a CTR. I don't see the need to apologize. It's not like Mark prevented anyone else from getting one, other than maybe (?) one other person. Go put in the years and sweat equity it took to build relationships with the manufacturers such that you would be in position to take advantage of the opportunity like Mark was, otherwise STFU and focus on more important things than a car a guy you don't know on the internet got.

Hey there fellas! Great work as always quick feedback on new HDR video. I’m watching usually on iPhone 12 Pro I would say it looks bright.
The difference I noticed was being able to see the dark low light area near the gas and break pedal while still being able to see the bright blue sky and greenery outside the cabin when you all are shooting the interior section of each video. I thought that was a really nice upgrade.
The down side means I have to turn the brightness down a lot because my iPhone screen turns into the sun when showing HDR content 😂.

You know what’s sad is that you can’t even be excited anymore for these new enthusiast cars coming out because for a fact the stealerships will continue to price gouge for us regulars. I speak for a big percentage of consumers who refuse to just throw away 10k or more above msrp like it’s nothing. Seems like all the youtube car reviewers have an FL5. Raiti, The Topher and Tedward etc. So of course we get pissed off because it’s so easy for yall to get it at msrp and allocation. I always wanted an ITR but was just graduating highschool then and didn’t have the means. Now that I have the means to it becomes damn near impossible because I am not a big influencer/youtuber or have 20k to just throw to the dealerships for it. SMH.

In response to Mark saying what we wnana see. I like your car reviews and comparisons because they tackle alot of the "non hype" things guys like Thomas James Yuri and Jacob cover. I know the car is fast I know it sounds cool and might handle good all modern sports cars handle good Thomas does a good job in the seat as a car enthusiast of what a csr is like to drive. Savage geese seperates itself and I say this lovingly as the older car enthusiast who doesn't have time to live with accepted bullshit. What does the car do at its core. How is it okay to live with my money being spent on a product. The veloster n was awesome because outside of its "lack of interior refinement" (I literally fell in love with the first gen yaris crank window) it gave me what all tuner cars and guys who tuned them in the 00s.. Outta the box. 276 whp lsd a good transmission and a knarlt exhaust and with the flick of a button it tames into a commuter. Damned be infotainment and 5 dollar sloppy ending butt massages, I don't need parking sensors or a youtube subscription in my car. I want a car. I'm having this issue now with the frontier. It's an honest truck but to get heated seats I need to be fine living with parking sensors and lane keep assists.. And I don't want it. I simply don't care. I'm buying a truck I need it to work and act like a vehicle I can get in with muddy shoes and not worry about. So you keep doing those reviews and tackling what a vehicle is and why it is made. And the perception of ownership. One big thing no one talks about it seems ourside here is how easy something is to work on. And not modify work on. Like can I change the oil is there even a dipstick tube. If I take off a wheel is the traction control gonna freak out till I get it reset. All these things keep car ownership in the hands of the buyers. And reinforces the idea of private property and private responsibility. Jack elludes to this with zoomers. And I think the shift in responsibility is gonna bring down a drastic change in the market. Please keep up the good work guys.

I agree with Raphael. I don't get it either. SUVs suck to me. I prefer a sports sedan all day every day. Way more practical and usable. I rarely see a family in an SUV. Just 1 person and an empty SUV. I'm in california. Also, yeah the blackwing has a V-8, but the non blackwing twin turbo v-6 is more affordable for us mere mortals. $130k vs $55k and the caddy interior quality doesn't seem to scream higher than $60k in quality. The 2024 ct5-v non blackwing is the car I am really interested in.

33:50 As someone who worked on the assembly line in the East Liberty Plant (ELP) when the new NSX was first being manufactured, I will say that the American internal work environment on those lines was incredibly toxic. I'm sure it was different for the NSX line specifically, but for the line workers more broadly, there was a major shift occurring at the time as Honda forced older, higher paid workers out while bringing in us younger "contingency" workers for about 1/3 the price per hour. Using tons of different contractors (Adecco, Spherion, etc.), they made their base workforce incredibly disposable. And there was zero wiggle room. As a temp, if I remember correctly, we were only allotted 2 "emergency days" and 2 sick days; PTO was earned, and it was like only 2-4 days with a year's worth of hours worked. But basically, none of us who lasted ever used those days if we could avoid it. Honda didn't even notify you if you were let go. They just deactivated your card so that you couldn't gain access to the facility. It was an absolutely pitiful, stressful and depressing work environment, and as they added more and more duties to individual processes, they absolutely destroyed bodies on the line. I have chronic back and shoulder injuries resulting from just 5 years of work on those lines. We tried to make the best of it. My coworkers, most of them young dudes, were fun to work with. We even joked about our lowly positions as we were eventually promoted to "Super Temp" status after a particular pay bump (still less than half what the regulars made doing exactly the same work). Perhaps things are different now, but I doubt it. Either way, I don't care how awesome a Honda or Acura might be, I will never ever even consider purchasing one. If ever a company's workers desperately needed to unionize, it's Honda of America.

I’d love to see you go through the rotary cars if you have any passion for it like you are doing with the Hondas. 12A, 13B variations, 20B, 26B, 7s, 8s, etc.
appreciate all your hard work, even when I don’t agree.
I also appreciate all the non review content you produce.
If there was ever a cause I’d like to see you try to help relating to cars; EV battery safety risks going in to the future. People are not discussing a fire like on the container ships happening in a mall/airport/under-apartment parking garage starting a fire with deadly fumes that self oxygenates. The companies need to be pushed for better safety prevention which I cannot fathom a solution unless it can chill the battery before thermal runaway somehow or smother it.
Until we can move away from batteries that contain its own fire triangle, steps need to be taken now, taken seriously … before a tragedy affects a large group of unsuspecting people sleeping or completing mundane tasks.
Once again, thanks for all the work behind the scenes, some of which you discussed and others I’m sure you left out.

Hi, great show, but lets agree that most people in the world drove old used cars, because the world is not a hollywood movie where everyone is rich. Also I think the corporate world is made to keep the poor people poor. You should maybe make a livestream about society (politics, economy etc...), it would be interesting to see your views. I think american mass media is too agreasively promoting being rich should be a goal for everyone, like being poor or middle class is shamefull, im sick of this kind of american propaganda. Nothing against you guys.

3:16:47 a lot of “American” problems and habits comes down to the fact that Americans are simply better off than most of the world, and when combined with the proud American tradition of “pursuing happiness” means that practicality can go f itself.

Any interest into doing anything with IMSA and what manufactures hope to get out of it when most people buy SUV'S ?

The one guy didn’t say more enthusiast cars and fewer crossovers. Just fewer crossovers. And I second, fewer bmws and Porsches. More commodity cars like Kia forte gt, Corolla hybrid, optima and sonata hybrid, Prius, new Impreza, manual Impreza

Love you guys, been a fan for years, I would love to see some older car reviews - which I know you mentioned is harder due to having to use viewer’s personal vehicles. Things that younger people can afford and are still relevant in the enthusiast community (10-20k) range. Things 2011ish Subaru WRXs, the last of the Pontiac GTO, NC Miata, mk.5 GTI

Echoing the answer that Mark gave for a fun and affordable, ~$10k, used car with a manual transmission: it's gotta be the Honda Fit. The best generation for fun, reliability, and usability was the second generation Fit (chassis code "GE"), available from 2009 to 2013. However, you should know that there is not much aftermarket support for this car. Also, don't K-swap it unless you are serious about making a dedicated track car. It is hard to get the car ECU to talk to a different K20 or K24 engine.
