- This African cichlid fish farm tour with stunning rainbow fish and a whole lot more at Imperial Tropicals in Lakeland Florida might be my favorite to date. Not only do they breed african cichlids with gorgeous colors, they breed rainbow fish and carry about 30 different species, and to top it all off they're just good people. Oh my god some of the colors on those fish were amazing.
Getting use to the new channel name. As always i so envy your ability to visit all these super cool places. Mike is awesome. I use to catch his lives on Friday on Facebook. He’s a super nice guy. The cichlids, Geos and rainbows are stunning. Cool he has a great deal of albinos too. That place is amazing.
He is awesome and they have so much new stuff going on also! Hope to go back at the end of the year, I have a feeling it’s going to be like a whole new place.

Great tour of Imperial Tropicals. Subbed to his channel. Wow, those luteus were gorgeous. Those are the holy grail of plecos for many people. $$$$ 😉👍
He does Friday live-streams which are good and he answers questions. Think they’re going to do some videos bringing in the pond fish soon which will be cool. Those luteus sound like a breeding passion project for him, hope he’s successful with his next setup for them.

Just lovely, things have changed since I was a kid and kept fish, I bred high fin lyre tails which were quite rare, but great job guys, might start again

I've spent maybe 5 mins on their website looking at the fish they have available and I'm already mind blown. i have spent so much time on the internet looking up different types of cichlids, but i have never ran across so many different species, especially not in one place...its just AMAZING, WOW. thanks for making this video. I'm in the process of starting up a 150 gallon tank and i will most definitely be getting all of my fish from them.
Great video. Mike and the crew are great. Ordered from them a few times. All my current rainbows, tetras and pleco are from them. They also have a live video usually every Friday around noon eastern time.

gara rufa and panda gara are so underrated, i personally keep gara rufa .. they are so interesting especially when they start cleaning your hands or fingers when you do a water change lol

Mike was really cool and spent a lot of time with me showing me lots of stuff. They have a lot going on and are expanding, hopefully we’ll get back there later this year and show off some of the new stuff.

WOW!!! I tried to pick a favorite fish in this video, it changed 10 times. LOL I think those albino/red rainbows took the cake. I never saw them before.
I did some breeding with the convict cichlid (Amatitlania nigrofasciata). The stock I started with carried a gene that would express true albinism. I worked on producing a very small variety but I could not get the miniature version to breed and produce offspring. Evidently, the fish size has some kind of feedback mechanism to control the maturation of the reproductive organs. I did some research in aquaculture and you have a very fun occupation. Awesome work.

Ive been purchasing fish for over 45 years from 100’s of different fish stores .I received a albino Taiwan reef cichlid that my mailman delivered to me from imperial it was one of the strongest fish I ever got this guy knows wat he’s doing .
