Cory visited Aquahaus-Gaus, probably the largest African cichlid wholesaler on the planet with more than 2500 aquariums holding over 1 million liters of water. This warehouse also serves as a Malawi cichlid breeding facility and general fish store for the public. If you are looking for a specific African cichlid species, color variant, and size, they probably have it. Amazingly, this giant facility is technically a mom-and-pop store that is run by a husband and wife with only 3 employees. The Lethrinops Red Caps. I really enjoyed this video as an African Cichlids keeper and would say that’s has to be the single best collection of those under one roof. Period.

I used to be..mostly Mbuna. Really loved that one that I don't think got named, but it's head looked like rainbow sherbet. Never seen one anything like that before. Seeing adult demonsoni, etc was really great too.
I wish there was a time machine to FF the US hobby somewhere remotely on the level of Europe and Asia.
As a 30 yr mbuna keeper, I probably would have thought I died and went to heaven in that place. Thank you Corey. 😊

This place has to be the best looking and cleanest breeding/wholesale/ fish store I’ve ever seen. It is beyond amazing and looks so relaxing too. Whoever owns that place gets a 10/10 for all their hard work. I’d be in my element looking at all those beautiful fish.
That place looks so peaceful, I would just like to sit for an hour let the world melt away. Even if you don't keep or love cichlids they are still just beautiful. I love seeing these kinds of videos.

You should look at some of the other store tours from his German trip. Made me quite jealous as an American hobbyist, especially seeing US brands marketing things I was to the Euro market and not offering for sale domestically.

Hey Cory, the way they have it set up with the timers and every other thing they do would be a GREAT info vid for people to use in their home set ups or fish rooms/garages and allow people to have more tanks/fish because it's more efficient.

I've been there, the huge store is luckily only an hour from my home....simply spectacular and I swear you've never seen anything like it in the world! They also have fish from South America etc

Yes, some African Cichlids! I've got a 150 gallon Hap tank with Hornwort. I love their big beautiful colors, as well as my smaller planted tanks. 🤩

Quality & Quantity is not the easiest way , but when every aquarium is pearling and the fish are all smiling & living the dream ....you just know they are another level and I am going to make my fishroom to resemble a few of the many great Innovative ideas and the cleanliness of a great facility and like you said " not 1 dead fish "
The level of organization is amazing even every tank has its own net meticulously placed on top of each tank I likes it.

been keeping African Cichlids since the mid 70's. I have never ever seen anything like that here in the States. a real shame that we have nothing even close to that. All the good stuff is all going through Europe first. We can't even get some species here. I'm into Tanganyikians about the past 25 yrs or more and some of the rarer Petrochromis are very difficult to get now here yet I see the European folks posting all the time on FB all the good stuff.

As a Malawi cichlid keeper im glad that I found someone in the states who imports from this place...they are absolutely the best fish you can get. Really good quality, 2nd to none.

How is their filtration set up? I couldn't tell from the video (I know there's a TON to show and its beautifully shot), would that filtration work scaled down for livebearers? Also, I'm trying live plants again after you answered some questions on a live a few months ago. Say a prayer for my 6 water lettuces LOL
This is amazing, and I want to point out that, these huge tanks are being held/supported by screws and 4x4s. Most of the tank stand builds on TH-cam swear by doubling up(vertical) on the 2x4s or Dado cut 2x6"s. Are these TH-cam folks overdoing it?

I think everyone should keep them at some point in their hobby/career. Watching motherbrooder mbuna breeding in a community tank was a great experience.

Visiting this place is on my wish list (I'm from the UK) I am aiming to travel there next year. This place is unreal and is more like a dream, as a hap and peacock lover this is my safe haven. It really really frustrates me that the UK left Europe meaning shipping to the UK is very difficult or can not be done. Thank-you for sharing this video and also Thank-you to the owner for creating this dream facility.
