Hey There! I've been really enjoying your channel and saw your newest fishing adventure videos with Cory & Randy!. Which made me want to reach out to you! My name is Alexander Williamson, and I also have an aquatic fish hobby I'm heading down to Florida next week (and will be bringing gear and a basic to moderate knowledge of Florida's freshwater fish and plants, and I'd venture to say I have a fairly decent amount of knowledge of all freshwater hobby. I was hoping perhaps that you may be interested in chatting with me, and maybe even catching some native fish together? I will be arriving in Tampa on the 27th and then driving up to Ocala for a few days (Gennie springs, rainbow springs, Alexander Springs, The silver & Crystal Rivers, being some of my intended stops). Before heading to Clearwater/St. Pete for a week, along with visiting the Seagrest farms, and possibly a fish farm or two. If you're interested in chatting feel free to message me or even call (425 478 4929 is my business line). Alright, Well, I hope you have a great week and look forward to hearing from you possibly. Cheers, Alexander Williamson.
This guy is on another level!!! I love how he isn't distracted by the internet are talk. When you have a passion and a goal it's like wearing blinders. For the record watching hundreds of fish get dumped out of a pipe is something I can watch all day. LOL
Something I hope to bring to you guys soon! Andres and I will make it happen. In the mean time, I did put together this video with him about sexing the loaches, th-cam.com/video/WIKRtp9kz0E/w-d-xo.html
9:36 this is where you can tell this guy knows what he is talking about in my experience those who think they know everything and are itching to tell you how much they know don't know as much as those that know they don't know everything
God bless people who look after animals! Omg. You are doing it. And love how your tanks have just enough love and space for the fish. But there tanks arn't overly too clean.
Heck yeah, he's a good guy and is 5 minutes away from me...! Hope all's well at Bioaquatix...! Thanks and keep up your good work and go enjoy some nature today...!
There's still so many current videos and info saying clown loaches can't and had not been bred in captivity and I always send a link to this video!!!! Great stuff this guy truly is accomplished at some serious breeding!!
Wonderful tour! I've ordered from these guys. Their customer service is not snappy with turning around email, because they are busy, but it's fantastic customer service. Fish are great.

I have been curious about this company and have been thinking of inviting them to list their stuff on Get Gills, so it was great to come across this vid!
Funny you mention that Dan. Andres and I were discussing the woes affecting other current methods he uses and I mentioned you and GetGills, specifically how much customization you have regarding things like shipping efficiency. He’s still in process of transitioning to selling retail opposed to wholesale and working on things but wouldn’t hurt to reach out.
Me too! I’ll be doing a video on the plant shrimp and pleco portion of the farm in the next week or so. I also want to do a video taking about how the farm works, about Andres himself, and about breeding the loaches.
he doesn't have a ton right now but I'll be getting better footage and underwater footage when I go back. I want to keep a colony of frontosa myself, planning a 90g for them
Lucky Schmuck's Fish Cave My Man! I currently keep a young colony of German imported F1 Moba Frontosa in a 125g. What type of Fronts will you stock & what size? Keep in mind they are slow growing and they live for 25 years!
A buddy of mine if TH-cam has a nice colony in a 220 that breed for him regularly. (th-cam.com/video/dX_CGZsAhh8/w-d-xo.html) so I’ll be getting them pretty small and growing them out but I don’t mind

I really like that small festae as well, their on ‘’my list” now lol. Unfortunately no, only bristlenose when it comes to plecos although he had done a lot of work with farewella type catfish. I did meet a local guy this week who keeps zebras and leopard frog plecos, excited to maybe see them in person.
Yea I'm pretty jealous of his setup. I think the well water and larger volume helps keep temp consistent. In one of the more inclosed buildings with smaller tanks (those are in a greenhouse) he has some space heaters for the room itself
Great video , What are your operation cost/ average monthly costs ? And how much is your rough monthly profit ? I'm just curious what you make off a operation this size
It’s not my farm, they just let me film a tour so I’m not sure. They just switched from selling to large distributors and now all directly to the public
I really need help… Both my clown loaches male and female (2) are in a big community tank with lots of rocks, caves and plants. Recently I noticed the female was missing then saw her in a small hole underneath a big rock in the sand of the tank and all I could see was her fin. She now comes out occasionally to feed like once or twice a week. And now I am starting to think they are breeding. What are your thoughts?
A little more about the "equatorial festae" that only gets 4" mentioned at 20 minutes?I read a lot on cichlidae.com and other sites that mention taxonomic changes and new discoveries- nothing else on the internet about an "equatorial festae". If it was a newly described species wouldn't there be a journal somewhere documenting this? Either I can't find it, or it doesn't exist and his claims are false. I'm betting it's the second one. If I'm wrong, that's awesome and I'll be ordering some when they're available

Cool video with some very cool fish. My favorites were the loaches with the unique patterns. I understand this is a farm and not an aquarium with display tanks but I would have preferred to see the tanks a bit cleaner. He could hire a couple young kids to do nothing but clean and it wouldn't cost much. Before you bitch at me for saying this how many of you would buy a puppy in a nasty cage and Dookie covering the bottom of the cage, so think about it first. Later
Thanks for watching and I respect your opinion. There’s a difference between clean water in an old tank that just doesn’t look as nice and a tank that has poor water quality. I don’t want to speak for him but how the tanks looked is something he was very conscious about. Even though him and I both know his water quality is on point, it looks nice to have clean glass and crystal clear viewing. Fact is those tanks are 10+ years old and seeing into them like you and I want is the least of his priorities as it doesn’t effect his breeding, raising. He’s still transitioning from selling wholesale to retail and is looking to hire help for stuff like shipping. Once he gets to point where that is running and he has more foot traffic/does his own TH-cam I bet he’ll focus more on aesthetics.
I understand more than you think about what you said. I wasn't referring to the heavy mineral stained glass of the older tanks. I was speaking of the excessive amounts of algae, and waste at the bottom of the tanks and suspended in the water itself. This was very clear when he would move items in the tanks. I reckon my version of " on point water quality" is very different from yours and his. However the fact that he is at least aware of this is a little hopeful that it will also be corrected soon. I have been in this hobby a very long time, over 40 years now. In the past I was guilty of having more tanks than what I was able to maintain at a level that the fish deserved. I realized this and reduced the number of tanks until I was able to maintain the tanks I had, plus work full time and have family time. Thanks for respecting my comment and I have bookmarked his website. If he does get his tanks and water quality to what I consider "on point" I will not hesitate to purchase some of the fish in that video. He is doing some impressive things with his clown loaches that others have not been able to and I would like to add several of them to my 240 display tank and others. Have a great day and thank again for the reply.
You make clear and valid points. There is always room for improvement and to be fair I didn’t test his water. I want to film more videos including one about maintenance and behind the operation, he seems very open to the idea. I was judging his water by the health of his fish - both based on what I saw that day and each previous occasion I’ve been there. I’ve also bought fish from him for over a year with the only losses coming months after purchase due to my mistake. The fish I brought home that day have been in QT but I used no meds and have seen no signs of anything. This is just my experience and everyone reserves the right to set their own bar when it comes to making a purchase. I appreciate your feedback and your opinion as well as that we’re able to have a decent convo on TH-cam lol
Fish won't breed if the water is off. Algae and faeces doesn't matter if the water is being auto changed and you have biological filtration. There is always one guy who talks about his "forty years" of experience and still is unable to recognize skill when it's staring him straight in the face. Dogs don't like pooping in their "dens". You see that and the dog is being traumatised. Fish poop in the water they swim in. You see that and you know that the fish are eating. You see that, plus their coloration, plus their activity, plus their breeding and you know that the system is balanced.
And MOST importantly, a couple of "kids" doing nothing but cleaning, read novice neophyte fish keepers doing a thing that doesn't need to be done, is the best and fastest way to poop-can that entire operation.
