I am not sure you understood the full trick list for what it was in aggressive inline. They didnt use the circle button, but it's still a massive amount of combo presses available. For instance. Up square is abstract grab. Up up square is front flip. Up up up square is abstract front flip. Up up up square press and hold makes it a tweaked abstract front flip. Triple directional input unlocks a huge amount of different combo's

100% agree on Aggressive Inline. I somehow played this more than any THPS. Amazing soundtrack and so much to do. I never finished it 100% although I put do many hours into it. For me a super underrated game, actually the only non THPS game in the style of THPS that I ever truly enjoyed.
There’s a mod for Skater XL called Blader XL that shows the potential for a modern Rollerblading title. For now I’ve been having a lot of fun with BombRush Cyberfunk, but a new EA Skate type game for Inline would be AMAZING
You found a really good niche with these old extreme sports. I'd like to recommend Amped 1 and 2 if you're ever looking for new ideas. One of the things that made those games special were the massive soundtracks of indie music and super high draw distances.
New to the channel and loving the extreme sports content as of late! They've always vibed with me and AI has a special place in my heart since I played it before touching any of the THPS games a few years ago. Also song selection is on point! : )

I would argue that Aggressive Inline is possibly the best THPS clone, or at least in the top three. My favorite thing about the game are the levels, they are very well designed, I love how you could find keys in other levels to unlock larger areas in previous levels. I also really enjoyed the game's leveling system. You would level up your stats in a specific skill by actually doing the skill, as opposed to using the stat point system in THPS. I always thought other games should have stolen that idea.
Being the only other person to have ever played rolling, I have to disagree with you on some points. I felt the controls (at least on the Xbox) were way too stiff, and felt the balance meter was annoying in this. I think it should get a 4/10.
Those two things for me would only drop it to a 5. If it were ass ugly, literally broken, or a part of a series I cared about it would be lower probably.
The only thing I hate about aggressive inline is the terrible animations for tricks, half the grinds don’t even look right. Rolling has amazing animations, sucks that hardly anyone got to play that one.
