I remember picking up MTV Skateboarding, playing 20 minutes of it, and knowing I'd have to wait for you to review it cuz there was no way I was gonna get the hang of it 😂 great vid as always 👍
I will say @11:10 that level is a bizarro version of Chicago from THPS 1. It's like a dream where everything is just that little off and different so it's not fully a rip off but it's still not entirely original.
Dude, the backing music on this video is amazing. I usually just let it be on the background because I'm paying attention to what you're saying, but you put absolute bangers in this video. I haven't heard The Light That Blinds in so long, but I recognized the kick drum patterns (drummer's ear I guess lol) and got an immediate hit of nostalgia!
I was hoping to see an upload from you today, it's like you knew it was my birthday lol I love the perspective you carry throughout all your videos about living life to the fullest, I personally never get sick of hearing the inspiration you hold when talking about real world footage in these kinds of games. As a skater myself, also because of games like Tony Hawk, I know how much effort it takes just to do the smallest most seemingly easy trick to pull off, it's a total dedication and seeing how far others have gotten always pushes me to do better. Great video again as always :)
@@RedBerylFTW that would be so awesome. I played them on PC. I have no idea if nostalgia is making my memories of those games much fawnder but it definitely seemed fun to me back in the day
I was interested in trying out "MTV Sports: Skateboarding Featuring Andy Macdonald", but perhaps I'll skip it and try out Darkblack's Rocket Power game instead. I've been slowly watching episodes of that programme, and I don't have much money, so I'll go for that instead.
If I'm not mistaken, you said you'd be covering the MGS series at some point. So will you also be covering similar titles in the genre like you've done with extreme sports? It's just that there's a lot of hidden gems that don't have many videos made about them (for eg that stealth game Mark of Kri that looks like a Disney game, but you play as a big burly guy graphically maiming and brutalizing enemies) aswell as the classics likebthe Tenchu and Syphon Filter series
did you hear about a new upcoming spiritual successor to SSX, Tricky Madness? there's apparently a demo out on Steam, it's cool as hell. It's basically SSX3 on a Unity Engine so eventually modding is gonna be rad on it. tho it's apparently q4 2025, a long way to go.
good review.i rewatched your evolution skateboarding review and while it was fun,it got me thinking about how a new game in that series would be amazing.imagine evolution skateboarding 2 with more music, more pros and even wackier boss fights.would be an amazing game but konami is just being konami atm [i don't mean that positively]
also can i add, that alot of indoor skate-parks are just gone, so footage of classic skate-parks, old bmx parks, etc is genuinely just cool and archival, also didn't know next game was secret, ill keep it secret :P
did you steal my CD binder? Hell of a soundtrack.

The map you show at 11:00 is almost exactly the layout of Skate Park Chicago in THPS1
Wow you're right. I looked at a side by side, and it's identical with rails where the small QP should be. That totally flew over me

Shadows fall is awesome. Underrated these days

@@RedBerylFTW Thank you :)
I was that kid who got this game and didnt have THPS and i loved this so much at the time!
Forgot how many snowboarding games are out there, good vid man
🍻
Surprised to see Shadows fall on the video. Good stuff
Two game's I loved growing up but I NEVER see anyone cover it is: ESPN Winter X-games snowboarding 2000 & 2002.
I want to do those this year, along with Evolution Snowboarding

Sure will. I had Syphon Filter on the list already, but the others are good suggestions to mix in
@@RedBerylFTW nice one, looking forward to it! 💪🔥
You better cover Session: Skate Sim at some point.
The camera literally makes me puke in MTV Skateboarding
I cant watch the vert footage it actually makes me ill

I haven't but I'll give that a look :0
Any plans on covering Shredders on the current gen consoles? It’s such a good game made by a tiny dev team.
For sure. I've seen it a few times, and it looks super interesting

Fun game, I had a good time with that one. Part of me worries that Konami is going to really mess themselves up with MGS 3 Delta
Finally you made it man
🍻
@@RedBerylFTW i hope you reviewed moto racer Series for the latest videos
ur my favourite youtuber

My word you're Grey @13:11
Also classic venice beach footage from the skateboarding game was gnarly.

lmao rhcp dani california in background how is that relevant to these older games
It's not. I first heard it in Death Note II The Last Name when I was a kid, and it's just a part of my playlist when I play games.
👍🔥
