The original jsr is a bit painful, and jsrf is a HUGE improvement. But the original feels very rewarding when you learn how to play and master the maps, the grafitti system is also more grounded and makes you feel more like you're drawing the artpiece, plus you can pick different characters if you dont like doing motions on another one. Some players also complain about the lack of resistance the sequel has and prefer the arcade nature of the go. Jsrf is my favorite, but I respect both. Bomb rush cyberpunk is the best of both worlds. Great video, I just wanted to add this.
This specific episode resonated with me so much, especially since I never also got the hype around JSR. I never tried JSRF, but I did play a bit of BombRush Cyberfunk, and that game played more how I thought the JSR game would play in my mind.
8:04 - 8.14 Pretty much me when I played Spyro 1. I admire simplicity, but not at the cost of monotonous, unevolved gameplay. Take care of yourself. This was a decent video, despite some bad popping here and there. This will be my last comment on your channel, as I'm fully moving on to a new channel tomorrow. I'll subscribe to you with it, since I enjoy your content plenty. Have a good New Year's Eve and Happy New Year. ❄️👍
JSRF is an incredible game, and i feel similar about the first one's problems. Now you gotta play Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, you're poised to appreciate it now that you've played these two
Man, no need to apologize. As someone who struggles with it myself, mental health is no joke. Thank you so much for giving the suicide prevention number and words of encouragement in the opening. Another fantastic video, same great attention to detail, and an exciting teaser for the next video. You take all the time you need my guy. It's TH-cam, not a broadcasting corporation. The only deadlines are the ones you set for yourself. I'd rather you take extra time for yourself between uploads if it means you're still around to upload. Believe it or not, it encourages me to stick around to watch knowing we have a similar struggle. Take care of yourself man
Love your stuff as always. As for your opening yeah same. I have some deep emotional cuts about the death of a loved one that just drains my december. So i get it man. Glad your feeling even a little better. I try to avoid the parasocial stuff but yeah. We're here for you.
@@RedBerylFTW The JSR reviews (really well done, btw) reminded me of another paintspray-themed game called Marc Ecko's Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure. It's a flawed game, but one that I think would fit your channel's theme and one you might find interesting. Apologies if the comment sections are not the right place for recommendations.
No apology needed dude. Youve brought me and many others so many hours of entertainment, but above all youre human. Its great to see you back, but its even better to know youre taking care of yourself 🤘🤘🤘
Yes! I'm so glad to see you back, just seeing this in my feed, I'm going to come back to this when I'm free to watch. Don't be sorry about the absence, we all got stuff going on, I'm sure nobody is looking at you with any fault for having to take a break. Once again, great to see another post from you.
Your welcome my brother you are awesome keep up the good work also there the update jet set radio this on Xbox series and PS5 is lot more better than part 1 and 2 and one more thing can you do Matt hottman pro BMX and just take care brother thank you.
I'm pretty sure that the common consensus is that the original JSR isn't that great of a game, and that jsrf is better in every way. 98% of why people love the original het set radio is for it's soundtrack, the other 2 percent is for the graphics, story/style, and characters. The only people who are saying that the actual game is great are people that haven't actually played it in 20 years. Jsrf, while not perfect, is so much of a better game that it's not even funny. While I prefer the soundtrack of the first game, the soundtrack in jsrf is still amazing and fits the edgier, more futuristic vibe the game is going for. Unfortunately, jsrf is stuck on the og Xbox and isn't even backwards compatible, so pretty much no one can play it. I still feel lucky that my Xbox from when I was a kid still works and that I was able to find a copy of it at a decently low price
Honestly while it hurts seeing you FLAME a game from my child, most of the critisicms and complaints about the game are valid, dosn't suprise me that you didn't enjoy the game that much, while I personally didn't mind the wonky controls, the vibes and the atomsphere were alway the main highlight of the series, its a shame we don't see more games made in this style and asthetic, thankfully we do have a couple like Hi Fi rush and bomb rush cyberfunk so there is that. Something to note about why jet set radio future isn't talked about more is that it ONLY released on the original XBOX, the original has been released on multiple platforms simply making it the more accesible game. Currently I have a copy of jet set radio future in my collection but playing it on xbox 360 the game is REALLY laggy, one day it would be nice to play it on original hardware but until then emulation is the only way I can enjoy Overall great video and don't sweat the time it took man, at least you got it out. Mental health is def important
You might like Bomb Rush Cyberfunk more. Has tricks. The graffiti is a lot quicker. Everything is more snappy. Feels better to play as well Still an arcady thing and less action sports. Its more of an action platformer with light tricking and such.
it sounds like you were asked to review this game and decided to play it in a week or a month or so instead of just sitting with it and playing it and not making a video on it
No need for a sorry. You took care for yourself, that's what matters. But also glad so see you posting a new video. ❤
Thank you 🍻
I asked it before, but can't find the answer anymore... Will you share again where we could find your music please?
@@raphaeldullaert2426 If you mean the songs in the video, you can find links to them in the description
I thought you made music yourself, or am I mistaken?

I have been advocating for JSRF to have a remaster for years. It's my favorite out of the 2.

BRC definitely plays more like JSRF with some good refinements, though the tagging is completely original to either JSR game.
You don't play JetSetRadio for the clunky mechanics and repetitive gameplay, you play it for the aesthetic. Art style and soundtrack

If it plays as good as the gameplay looks, I'm hype for that

I think this may be a miscommunication from the community. Personally, I refer to Jet Set Radio Future as Jet Set Radio. But that may just be me.
How did I miss this video?

This might be an obscure game but you should review the game B-Boy, it’s a break dancing game for PS2
Absolutely, I took one look and I'm extremely interested :0

I keep hearing that so I'll try get to it early in the new year 🍻
try psobb on ephinea server youll hate the combat till you learn it, kinda same issue jsf has awful camera controls

If it wasn't for the recommendations I would have left it alone when I tried to play it a long time ago tbh
