Just removed this myself, not easy. Four torx screws fix the ECU in place plus one earth. Two of my torx screws rounded on me . When removed the ecu plug was covered in oil from a leaking oil pressure sensor. I believe the oil in the plug was giving me trouble with my lambda sensor.
Very informative video, could you tell me where the black and brown wires shown at 3;07 should connect to when replacing the wiring loom. I have to re connect mine after a new head gasket, and I cant remember where they came from!
Hi thanks for the video was very helpful, do you know if the new ecu when installed needs to be coded or programmed because of the immobiliser? Thanks.
Could you explain to me what ECU problem was? What symptoms was the engine performance showing? Was the engine sputtering and losing power and burning up the delphi coil packs?
The engine was misfiring, losing power and eventually stalling. Symptoms would differ, sometimes it would even work OK for few days and then start misfiring all over the place again. It didn't damage my coil packs. But the symptoms can be different, because water inside the ECU can damage various components. Usually you can track your issue to the ECU when you repair your car according to the EML code you have, but the problem is still present. I.e., when you change your coil packs, but the misfire is not gone. You can try and inspect the ECU by yourself - take it out and carefully inspect all the pins in the connectors. It should be 100% clean. If it's not, you definitely have water damage there.
Strange Person this is happening to my car it won’t start properly and it’s sputtering at first when throttle is applied no one not even Vauxhall even knows what’s wrong with my car
Well, at 1:17 I told, that there was not enough space for the camera to show it in detail. But you either didn’t watch the video or you are a very ignorant person. To undo the connectors just unlock the locking pins and jigle the connectors until you free them
@@garagedilettante1128 well you could have just cleared that and showed when dismantled more or less how you uncoupled that connector, he;s not ignorant at all

Sold the car two years ago, don’t really remember, but my guess is oxygen sensor
Hi mate, thx for this vid, there is some set-up to do after the replacement ? Or it is just "plug and play" ?
Plug and play
@@garagedilettante1128 you buy it vergin? Or used from other car?
You really don't need to program it with obd (opcom)?
Used from a scrapyard. No programing, if the engine is the same
I have 1.6 Meriva 2003 year with ECU DZJN 12242000
Do I need to program for my car another one with the same specifications?

Alongside ECU, you also have to change immobiliser. Then no programing is required.

Also i need change the whole ecu kit immobiliser etc any vids help advise you can give
Just make sure you have the whole kit. Everything else is just swaping out the parts
Hi wat size bolts are they??
I cant undo the connectors to the ECM. All I saw was a big pair if hands. The vidio skipped the removal of the ECM sockets.

Correct.

Hi, thanks!
