    Today's TK Friday Tutorial is all about Color Grading and I will be Color Grading 4 different images. I have included Download Links for the 4 Stock Images I am using in this tutorial. I haven't provided PDF Notes this week because I want you to experiment with Color Grading and see what you come up with. Let your "Inner Artist" guide you as to how to Color Grade these images or experiment on your own images. I generally save this kind of Color Grading for after the image has been edited.

    Hi Dave. I'm at the first experiences with TK8. You are an excellent teacher. I'm an old (72 y) Swiss man and I speak only elementary english bu I can follow your tutorials. Also this time I learned a lot. Thank'you very much. I'm waiting with impatience for the next friday lesson. TOP 👍👍👍👍💪💪💪

    Great o see some colour work with TK8 Dave. It is an area I need to work on, so we’ll pleased with todays tutorial. Looking forward to the next🙋🏼‍♂️

    Loved this video and the mountain image in particular. I am always forgetting about the mask calculator and the way it affected the sky in this image is something I always seem to do with dodge and burn and paint contrast. I've saved this video and will kick myself if I don't try out the intersect more often and maybe combine it with a bit of D&B when it's needed. Thank you sir for another great video!

    Outstanding tutorial, never really color graded much, always made a mess in photoshop, but the TK8panel and you make things fun

    Before this video my color grading skills were very basic. Based on what you demonstrated in this tutorial, I expect my color grading skills will be significantly better. I am very impressed with your post processing skills. And how you create an impressive tutorial 3 time each week. Your channel is awesome. Thanks Dave!!!

    Thanks again Dave for another TK Friday tutorial that goes a long in explaing the capabilities of the TK8 tool...The color grading you demonstrated was subtle but powerful in how color affects the viewers perceptions and responses to an image...Thanks again and have a great weekend!

    Fabulous, down right fabulous. I have worked and worked on cloudy skies to get that magic mix of purplish blue in the shadows and this color grading technique looks like it will make it much much easier to achieve. Also have part of a large rock face that I have never been satisfied with its color mix. Have tried many times without nailing the look I want. Think this just might be the magic bullet. A great big THANK YOU Dave.

    Loved this tutorial and at last discovered the hamburger menu. I have always had a problem with colour grading and getting the balance right. This explains a lot and looking forward to experimenting with my next set of images. One question. When in the workflow would you colour grade? I believe that it is late in the editing stream but would love your thoughts.

      Thanks Geoffrey. I generally do this at the end of editing. Once I finish an edit this is a good time to experiment to see if a creative color grading will help.

    Really appreciating watching you color grade a portrait. Thank you! Quick question, I have yet to buy the TK8 panel yet and as you describe everything step by step so clearly, I realize I most like won’t remember which button to click for what. Is there an explanation of what every button does or a cheat sheet to help me get started? Thanks again!

    • @samelogio7441
      @samelogio7441 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When you purchase the TK8 tool you also have the option to purchase a video tutorial by Sean Bagshaw. It is provides a complete review of every TK8 function. It is useful for a quick review of what each button/function does. Having said that, I still prefer using Dave's full edit videos as reference as they are real world examples. I find that much more useful.

      In addition to Sean's fine training videos, there's an option to have the "tool tip" on so that when you roll over a button, an explanation of that button come on. If you have the tool tips turned off, hold the Alt/Opt key down and the tool tip will temporarily show. Great way to learn.
      When I was first learning the panel, I kept the tool tips on all the time; now that I'm more familiar, I'll use the Alt/Opt key when and if I need it.
