I've been waiting for your take on that trip! A follow up on your witches broom would be interesting. All 3 of you are clearly Outdoor chefs par excellance.
I love your channel and I watched your entire last series when you were in Quebec while I visited my parents at Christmas. I love the adventures that all 3 of you have together and I love everyone's take on it. Inquiring minds need to know,: what did Jon give his own dishes? now that Jon is the last one to post his version of the trip, who is going to poke more fun at him? You or Xander? It always makes me smile to see a Brad/Xanader/Jon video, I can't wait to see more adventures with the 3 of you.
Hey thanks! Jon had a few other video projects he was wanting to finish up before putting this one out. The edits can take a ton of time (I should know I have a backlog of like 75 trips that will never see the light of day 😬). Great hanging out with em, looking forward to the next one!
I've only been subscribed for a week. I've enjoyed your videos. And here you are with two guys I've been following for quite awhile! I loved it. Thank you for sharing.
Haha, yeah that's me to a T. I've been slowly working up a big 'small' tree collection both indoors and outdoors. Always on the hunt for some interesting seeds or cuttings....
That was a great video. I really enjoyed your version of the trip. So entertaining and educational and that foooodddd!!!!! 😋 Thanks Brad 😊 Would you please share your recipe for the sausage rolls?
For sure! Phyllo sheets - make your own or pre-made (much easier trust me). Baste with melted room temp butter. Add a frozen, uncooked breakfast sausage and cheese of choice (I like a sharp cheddar to bring out the other flavors). Roll it up and tuck the ends in mid-roll. Baste to seal. Freeze for later. Bake for 20-25mins in the oven or until slightly golden and flaky. Finally, drizzle with maple syrup. It's a rich dish and calorie dense but super delicious.
-35? I can remember -55f temps in Winnipeg where I was born...then my family moved to Southern Ontario?! Now I'm back north near Algonquin park! So far the temps have been nowhere near your -35....
Pretty common for winters up my way (Timmins area, Ontario) to get this cold every winter. Way milder on average this winter, but we had a few days below -40C last winter. Nice to get real winters that last 6 months up here, though I'm itching for the melt now...
For sure, I've done quite a few over the years, but often have a good group of people I want to catch up with and hang out on trip too. Big bonus is my wife loves all these adventures, so the majority are with the two of us.
@@ExploreTheBackcountry Thank you. I would appreciate it. Thanks for the channel. I really enjoy the canoe trips. Would love to see maybe an everglades adventure and some more State Side adventures, maybe some California trips through wine country, maybe Yellowstone River through Montana or maybe Green River through entire State of Utah and surprisingly there isn't much about the entire Ohio River, if you get a notion to do so.
@@cormacmccarthy1559 we've done quite a few. Certainly plan on more. The Green has been top of my next US river for a while now! Actually have done the Everglades x2 back with my dad a way back, really cool place: th-cam.com/video/LdaCisbQstk/w-d-xo.html and th-cam.com/video/8qDBmu1c9tw/w-d-xo.html
🤣🤣🤣🤣 if only.... Well I do enjoy the winter season, but it has nothing on summer and paddling season! It's been a super mild winter in my neck of the woods though beyond a few cold spells. Probably the warmest I've ever seen, so we'll see what summer brings!
Something so special about the fellowship of like-minded friends. The food was a 10-10 for each meal
Everything was delicious. Really hard to rank them all when you're super full and satisfied after each meal!
Great video. Fantastic meals, all around great trip. Xander and his maple syrup. 👍👍👍👍
Live life to the fullest, and not far from my neck of the woods 😀 Really enjoyed that one!
Wonderful Amazing Terrific Outdoors Trip 😊
Loved your edit as much as I loved your food. 10/10
Thanks my man! Such a great trip!!
You 3 together is always a blast!
That was a fun video to watch with what looked like amazing food 😋 ❤

Need to go to bed, belly hurts, awesome video…
My belly hurt for days after this one 🤣
Xander "pulled a Xander". Lol trippin'...lol. so glad i saw this on Xanders channel, and subscribed 😎👍

Great trip with great company and awesome food, that's hard to beat.

By the way the crystals in the air when it's that cold is called Diamond Dust. I learned this from the documentary Christmas in Yellowstone.
Oh and subbed you got some epic adventures here on this channel 👍🏽✌🏽
Great video chum, 10/10 🙌🙌😃
Thanks my friend 😄🌨️❄️
Xander said sub, so I did, hahaha, you guys are awesome
Loved the food challenge!

Thanks!!! You did it too 😁😁😁😁
@@ExploreTheBackcountry Awesome! :-)
Great little video and yes those Base Camp trips have a place in any adventurer's catalog of fun.
For sure! Good time to also plan the next big adventure too!
Came here from xanders channel… your meal looked the best I’m glad you won my dude. This was a good vid man ✌🏽
Appreciate it man! They were all delicious in their own right!
Brad, you sound like a guy who might be a bonsai aficionado. Good luck with the witches broom and thanks for another great video!

Great trip for some good outdoorsmen .

Love the video.
Thanks Juanita!
I smiled all the way through this video. Thank you Brad!
What's the name of the tune that plays at 10.30?
I'm here cause you won the cooking. Lol
Haha! Boys will undoubtedly up their cooking game for the next one now 😅
Fun 🤩

Enjoy the vids! Ever think about doing more solo trips? Little new to the channel so idk if this has been discussed.

Could you please reply about where the bindings for the army snowshoes came from?
Thanks
I believe those are @lostlakes so Jon should be able to let you know.

Bigfoot lurking 👀 or is that Trudeau ?
Hopefully your food burning skills are better than Xander’s. 😂
😂😂😂 can confirm. Not a fan of burnt bits 🤣🤣🤣
My sister and I. Thus dude. Sorry
Straight fake
