What if Guildenstern died in Warlords? (Onimusha What-If)

- Out of every Genma that's ever been featured, there are none quite as influential and memorable as the infamous Guildenstern. He is responsible for the creation of many powerful Genma seen throughout the series, as well as key structures and machinery such as the Golden Evil Statue and the Time Folder.
It's not hard to see how reliant the Genma became on him, so what would have happened if Samanosukie had managed to kill him during the events of Warlords? Without Guildenstern to create new Genma such as Zmoh and Genma-Ranmaru, as awell as no one to build the Time Folder, how would things have changed?

Thanks so much! Though, it most definitely isn't just me sticking with Onimusha, though I probably focus more on the lore than the others. As for Samanosuke's whereabouts, there isn't really much to cover since there is quite literally no information on where he was for the 13 years following Warlords, other than he was in hiding while trying to control his Onimusha power.
We can only presume that he was still making sure that his power was fully under control before revealling himself, by which point Jubei had already set out and fought Nobunaga himself. Another possible theory is that while he had already learned to control his power by the time Samurai's Destiny rolled around, Genma activity had effectively halted until Nobunaga launched his attack on the Yagyu Village, and by the time Samanosuke had caught wind, Jubei was already in the process of fighting back. This is probably a bit unlikely, though, since Samanosuke still had no knowledge of Jubei until they met in Blade Warriors
Wow, it's incredible how much of the original plot wouldn't happen without Guildenstern. But this was another great scenario, love how much Heihachi got to be involved (always thought he deserved more than what he got in Demon Seige) and giving Samanosuke and Kaede a happy ending was really sweet.
I really liked these what ifs you've been putting out and I wanted to ask, could you make a what if that based on the idea of: what if the omen star appeared early? Also, how about a counterpart of this video like, what if Guildenstern survived onimusha 3?

Bro I'm back! I think I've got something that will get you tons of views. Look up Onimusha: Twilight of Desire. From what I've read it takes place after dawn of dreams and it reveals Samanosuke as Tenki and why he decided to bury the gauntlet. I can't find not one video on TH-cam about it. You can't find it in English or Japanese, ONLY CHINESE. Bro, if you covered that it would definitely help the Onimusha community. It gives Samanosuke a bit more resolve and the story would have worked fantastic as a 5th Onimusha game because it had returning foes like Guildenstern 👍. I found a hidden reddit that had a link to a website that provided the scans. This thing is SUPER DUPER RARE and I'm pretty sure barely anyone knows about it. I would have absolutely covered this in my timeline, but I haven't been able to find either Twilight of Desire or Night of Genesis anywhere, and while I've at least seen ToD in full, it isn't english translated, so I can't tell entirely what is happening or why. If I can find them fully translated, I would be more than happy to cover them

So Guildenstern was basically the MVP of the Genma. I wonder what would've happened if he took control of the Genma instead of Nobunaga after Onimusha 1.
Also, I have a question about Fortinbras. If Hideyasu was the reincarnation of the Oni god of Darkness, does that also mean that Fortinbras can be reincarnated as well in the future?
Oh wow, I've never actually thought of that! That's probably the most realistic way that the Genma could return in full at some point in the future. Still not certain how yhe Netflix anime will handle it, but if we ever do get a follow-up, that does seem like a very reasonable possibility

Yeah i felt that after Guildenstern's death, the genma were no longer the same. It is almost the same feeling I had when Albert Wesker died in resident evil 5.
I have a question. Will onimusha 2 3 and 4 come out for psn Store ?
Unfortunately, I highly doubt it. Apparently, Warlords HD was Capcom's way of gauging how much demand there is for Onimusha in general, and 2/3 were initially planned to be rereleased the same way if Warlords did well enough. In the end, Warlords sold WAY below expectations, so that plan was scrapped. Our only hope now is the Onimisha Netflix anime that's on the way.
