What if the Omen Star Appeared Early? (Onimusha What-If)

Of all of the inciting incidents leading to conflict between the Oni and Genma, what is possibly the most significant, or at least held the most potential consequences, was the emergence of the Omen Star in 1596 that heralded the incoming rebirth of the Genma God of Light. After 14 years of relative peace following the defeat of Nobunaga Oda, Mitsunari Ishida was able to free the Genma Triumvirate from the Underworld and set in motion a chain of events that led to the Omen Star's appearance. However, that leaves a significant amount of time for Mitsunari to have gone off the deep end, so what would have happened if he freed the Triumvirate earl ,thereby causing an early emergence of the Omen Star?
I'm surprised I never thought of this one sooner, but it was a fun one to write. Again, I'm sorry that this wasn't released earlier, but I was ill for most of January. On the plus side, I do have a few plans for the year, including something VERY special that I'm currently working on. It might take a bit of time to get finished, but I guarantee that it'll be worth the wait!

Yay, another what if where Luis lives! Delighted to see another one of these, you always create such entertaining stories from these scenarios. Loved seeing Arin get more action and it was quite sweet seeing more of the relationship between Yodo and Hideyoshi.
Thought of another what if I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on. What if Jacques never returned to his own time?

Interesting change in the time line; good to see Soki and Ohatsu able to marry this time and stopping the genma much earlier on. Now I beg your pardon cuz I got another idea for a story, you think you could do in the future a what-if of the omen star appearing during Nobunaga's reign? I think he would've been a much better vessel than Hideyoshi. I always asked myself if the original intentions of Fortinbras in Warlords was to reincarnate on a proper vessel like Nobunaga instead of Hideyoshi and I wonder if Guildenstern would provide a much greater threat with the help of the Triumpvirate. Imagine them assisting him with the time travel stuff or maybe the golden evil statue.

I may have to give it a different title to more easliy differentiate it from this scenario, but this just gave some really cool ideas! Had to take a moment to think how it would work, but I think I may be able to try something new with this one!
