Great to see footage of Woffy Snr. We only had him for a season or two at Middlesbrough in the 80s, but he was very popular and an entertainer on and off the track.
We were so spoilt for choice in the 80s, I was just a child back then and enjoyed the NL the most. Full of characters. If only the sport could pull together defend what it is left with and try to re-build together.

just so many tracks in those days, and so many speedway riders. lot of of people sadly lost to the sport now, in so many ways.
