👍👍. The stand's were packed. It's too fancy for me now, million dollar haulers etc. Blah. I did get to see the last race at scioto downs mile horse track in Columbus Ohio 2010 anyway, it was great. Thanks.
Nice, great pictures & tons of unforgettable times, Thanks for posting! This is purely a suggestion, so please don't be angry.I don't know about the rest of the people, depends on what type of video too, & I love music but a bitche'n soundtrack behind so many cool pictures would be even cooler maybe with a compilation of the announcer who used to do all of the miles, I should know but don't, anyone can tell you his name right now except me obviously & no doubt you know it too. But him calling the races in the background, all different pieces of any races & don't have to match the picture but would add something unique to your video as opposed to a big hair bands & top 40 bubblegum, yes some were real good & I like em' a lot, im no authority & I am not even close to making ANY videos& know less than an ordinary house cat about them, I do know what keeps me interested, I click off more videos because of their music than anything though. (no offense intended) And it'd really be a nice touch for all of us who were there, spectating or racing. But the announcer had a voice that was made for flat track, it could' be" Roxy Rockwood" might've been the name im thinking of but I still think it was another guy, but until 60 some people reply & say his name, (he was probably more well known than "Bouncing Bob" the starter who used to flip in the air, and ( actually caused a serious crash at one race by accidentally landing in the path of a rider, maybe a mile pro race IDK, that's not the point) remember it was my idea, who gave you the tip, lol..ill even start it off, Awesome VIDEO! BEST EVER! SISKEL & EBERT CAME BACK FROM THE DEAD, TWO THUMBS UP! LOL.. PS id make my own video if I thought I knew anything, so ill spectate & watch other people's😜✌️🏁than Ms again for posting & I clicked the like button.
Grew up in Du Quoin in the 70s and 80s. Lived right by gate 3 and went to every flat track race. Parker, Moorehead, Springsteen, Carr made it exciting and always was some great racing
@@PatrickTowers No, I was only 2 when he retired..lol. It was 1975 when I started going to all the magic mile events. But I wish I could have seen him race. He was great
Just go North on the 405 freeway for 20 minutes and go to Ascot.
Those were the days my friends.
i feel like im there on some of these shots.......back to my party favors ....your stuff is museum qaulty.....cheers
also you can pick the music for my funeral if you want
The 450 class is more exciting than the twins. Camel Pro days were the Best in my opinion. AFT better pay attention or they'll be defunct
Great pics. There was a few of my dad (Rick Hocking) I haven't seen before. Good stuff.
Tammy Kirk - the skirt in the dirt. Fantastic.😊
😁
Seeing King Kenny on the mighty TZ brings back some fond Ascot memories
