Even as a human, it's hard to side with the humans after what they put the apes through in part 3. It was brutal, and even now, I hate rewatching it because the movie makes me so angry to see them drag Ceasar through the mud for hours. Koba tried to kill Cesar to gain power and lead the Apes in a way that would make them more secure. However, the humans just tortured Cesar and tried to kill his spirit to make his kind slaves. It's like comparing a Coup to a war crime like the Holocaust. Sure, both are bad, but one is more unforgivable than the other.
Just got back from seeing this. Holy heck. This is the NEW peak. Everything about this film is brilliant. The staging, the visuals, the acting, the symbolism. They took the spirit of the last three films and dialed up the experience up to a million. What a ride.

Not only the do apes speak in English, they have also written the subtitles with proper Grammer for us to read , that's amazing !
The cgi looks terrible though

Bro this movie was SO good
This looks like it could be a reimagined version of the original 1968 film
It definitely ties in with the first movie of the OG film. I like to see these movies as prequels to the original films in a way. It's the beginning of the planet of the apes, before they became technologically advanced
Great movie! I have always loved the Planet of the Apes series, both original and new. I'm so glad they are maintaining high quality with top notch story telling, characters, acting, world building and effects. I love how the new movies are all leading up to the climactic timeline of the original when the astronauts will return "home."
2017: We are the beginning and the end!
2024: What a wonderful day!
Yeah, those idiots didn't last long in war for the planet of the apes. Even with all that "excitement" they were showing.
Some 300 years after the reign of Caesar.
But Noa reminds me of Caesar.
Proximus reminds me of Koba.
I miss "Nova" 🥲😢
They giving the whole movie away
I know right
As if movie trailers nowadays don't, huh? 🙄 By watching the latest Deadpool & Wolverine Trailer I can say as well that the trailer gave it away.
So I will watch the movie anyway
Or you can just not watch the trailers. I only watched like 2 trailers of this. Some trailers got short 50 second ones that barely show anything
Ok and why did you chose to watch it then?
@@ashonlewis9353 because many trailers know how to be an art form of their own and not give much away
i have never been more excited
So haven't I
SLIGHT SPOILER: but one thing i absolutely loved was the fact that Noa was tased on the same spot where Caesar had his birthmark so it just felt extra special😭 one of my favorite details i noticed
It has nothing to do with Ceasar. The films aren’t related
@@kingalex2083 i know the films and noa + caesar aren’t related, im a big fan of the OG and new movies so i knew about that before watching Kingdom :). i’m just saying how it was cool that a sort of parallel was created between the two MCs. Noa’s mark was from an injury while Caesar’s was a birthmark, but they’re both our protagonists which was cool to me. this was just something i wanted to mention bc it was something i truly noticed while watching it in theaters.
hope that clears that up.
@@kingalex2083are related, takes 300 years after events from war of the planet of the apes movie actually, that's why raka is here too
Mae: “ This was a human place. it is not yours!“
Ape: “…It is, Now…isn’t it?" - #Scary 😮 @counter 2:10
It's one of my most waited film . Can't wait anymore . Going to be one of the top movie in 2024
2:13 Most Badass Scene ever
saw the 1st movie as a child back in 2011 and made sure to watch em all over the years, im so glad they're back with a 4th movie! planet of the apes films are so iconic, still remember the chills i got when caesar first said "NO"
This has nothing to do with that trilogy. Matt Reeves isn't involved at all.
@@redadamearth XDD

Just saw this movie today, what a ride. Always scared of sequels/reboots but this is still so so good
You saw it at night today? Are you from the usa?
Rewatched 1-3; ready for 4
You mean 1-9 right? 😎
this 4th movie is a soft reboot.
@@romaingallagher1100 nothing before rise is canon to this universe
@@rapfye7839 depend on how you see it. I was born before rise and watched 2001 one before, so as long as i watch them they're canon 😂
@@rapfye7839it isn’t a soft reboot it’s a semi direct sequel that takes place about 100+ years since war
I thought it was fantastic. The facial expressions that these apes have is beyond incredible. Some great action scenes in it
@tompeng8248 the previous 3 have made one of my fav trilogies. I never said this one was better, I did think it was great however
I'm happy that these series of movies are still giving us good-quality entertainment.
WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY!
*WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY!*

WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY 🗣🗣🔥🔥
To see Ape society thrives into a village is breathtaking!
Agreed, it's refreshing to see a new storyline. We'll get to see the legacy of Caesars civilization that he fought for.
beautiful post-apocalyptic movie with deep message about humanity
- from Indonesia -
I can’t be the only one that got one night mare or more from ceaser staring at me looking like he wanted to kill me 😂
proximus was inevitable, just like how mae thinks the world belonged to the humans, proximus obviously thinks it belongs to apes. Its how intelligent and conscious beings seem to think even though it is a flawed way of thinking. really hyped for one of my favourite franchises.
I think she doesn't think it but knows. Because she is from the past.
@user-rx1om7rs3b isn't that like saying the world still belongs to dinosaurs?
@@NyahJustice I think she came to the future from the past, the time of the beginning of the first of the new trilogy. She knows humans built language, technology and everything but other apes took over and appropriated them. You see?
Haven't you seen any original POTA?
I can't see your parallel.
And humans wasn't extinct 66 million years ago. Only went atavistic during the last couple off centuries here.
And dinosaurs aren't all went extinct, birds are all around us, so the world still also belongs to dinosaurs.
Freya Allen will not disappoint
Even with all the trailers combined it never gave away the best parts! And that says a lot bc the trailers are awesome! This movie felt like an actual movie.
this looks so good man
just saw the movie today, absolutely insane!! there were moments where my jaw dropped and moments where i got goosebumps...i hope there will be a 5th movie, really enjoyed seeing noa's character evolve!
Very excited, the Apocalypto with Apes pitch gave me the idea to watch that movie
Just started watching the trilogy to get prepped for it!
This movie takes place 300 years after the trilogy.
Going to see this tonight. Hyped as hell
This franchise is incredible, and each film stands on its own two feet. I watched the first three in reverse order and loved every one of them.
0:44 Now THAT is a planet of the apes shot
I'm glad I only saw the trailer now after watching the film... because it shows too much, the scene when Mae suddenly speaks blew me away
I watched the trailer first but still I let myself be in the moment😂 when she stands up “NOA!!!” 😱 Then when she speaks normally, I was just like 😱 I knew it, but… 😱

The CGI in this is amazing! I'm marking my calendar for May 10th! 🦍🐵⚔
That’s be it’s motion capture and relies on the movement of real people.
2:33 can’t believe they showed the killing blow for the final fight 😂😂
Human evolution = WAR
Ape evolution =WAR
Even as a human, it's hard to side with the humans after what they put the apes through in part 3. It was brutal, and even now, I hate rewatching it because the movie makes me so angry to see them drag Ceasar through the mud for hours. Koba tried to kill Cesar to gain power and lead the Apes in a way that would make them more secure. However, the humans just tortured Cesar and tried to kill his spirit to make his kind slaves. It's like comparing a Coup to a war crime like the Holocaust. Sure, both are bad, but one is more unforgivable than the other.
The only movie from the 80s that was remade properly
I just saw this movie last night in theatres in IMAX, and I absolutely loved it.
I liked it too, but it wasn't the best one to me
@tompeng8248It’s my opinion.
@tompeng8248It’s my opinion, whether you like it or not.
I nvr expected another movie😭 I must watch
Everything powerful always comes after “you will kneel before your king/queen”. Every movie and tv show~ powerful words
Just got back from seeing this. Holy heck.
This is the NEW peak.
Everything about this film is brilliant. The staging, the visuals, the acting, the symbolism.
They took the spirit of the last three films and dialed up the experience up to a million. What a ride.
I’m excited to see how they tie this into the MCU
Noa will try to become a greatest hero like Caesar. He's the only ape who can protect the kingdom. This movie is going to be glorious.
