Koba blinded by vengeance
Proximus Caesar blinded by power
Proximus Caesar was right. Only thing he was wrong about was how he brought other apes together
And ambition
@@Daruudes its a testament to how complex his character is. You can understand why he does what he does just like Koba
@@Daruudes Most characters in the franchise are that way, from the classics to the new films. They're often right or partially right, they just go about their plans wrong.
It sounds like that is their weakness!
I liked how they had Noa beat both Proximus Caesar and Sylva with brains instead of brawn
He really is Caesar's descendent
Like Proximus said: Noa is a clever ape
Who was sylva
@@hp.8
Sylva was the Gorilla that drowned.
Dude right. What was he gonna do whoop their asses ? Lol he would have gotten dusted.
Kevin Durand was absolutely perfect as Proximus Caesar. Easily the most intimidating movie villain I’ve seen so far this year! Excellent film
You mean Durant? It's Kevin Durant...
@@borris3768😂
😂
Not more intimidating than Dementus.
@@ryancallsinOr feyd Rautha.
The thing I like about Proximus’ defeat is that he was obsessed with the Roman Empire and replicating it, and one of the symbols of the Empire is an eagle and a group of eagles are what ultimately cause him to fall off the cliff.
Huh, the more you know
But he literally only had like 3 scenes. Koba was built-up and was fantastic villain.
This movie has that "rushed" vibe the whole way.
Subtlety is dead
He’s not dead
I didn't know that, that's really cool. Thanks 👍🏾
Noa is more of a strategist than a fighter.
Facts, and he's damn good at it
Just like his ansector ceaser
ngl that gorilla chase scene was prolly the scariest shii i've seen inna min. my heart was straight up racing lmaoo☠️
That was really scary!
Me encantó ese gorila
For real lol
I mean Sylva was a jerk till the end. At least even Red Donkey had a little goodness deep within, but Sylva is just evil to the core.
And on top of that I watched the movie in 4DX.
So I guess Proximus hadn’t heard, it was my understanding that everyone had heard
What a comment may the youtube gods grant you 1000s of likes

I wonder that if proximus were to survive, his face would be covered in scars just like Koba
It’s a 50/50 chance he survived
If he does, I’m betting he will have a blind eye and a few notches in his ear like Koba
Would definitely like to see him if there's another war against humans
There were rocks at the bottom and he was falling very fast. Doubt he survived
@@justawheeb6985 again, 50/50 chance Of survival or death
It's ironic tbh. Proximus; a Bonobo is the violent one while Noa is the opposite.
I LOVE how Noa's eagle catches him right in the face and just drags him over the edge in the most satisfying climax fight ever .
Watching Proximus get attacked by the eagles and sent plummeting to his death was one of the best parts of this movie! It’s like it gives another meaning: Apes and eagles together strong!
Noa is smart. He dosent need hands to fight when he can use his smart braun
When Wes Ball was announced as the director, I was initially skeptical on whether he'd be able to get the VFX artists to make the apes look as good as the ones from the previous films.
But then, I remembered the dude was a VFX artist before he was a director and it was an animated short he made that got him the job of directing _The Maze Runner._
So, clearly, he knows what he wants when it comes to VFX.
Yeah he was great pick up, Matt reeves would be proud the new saga in good hands
5:00 The eagle song was the best🦅🦅🦅
I want a bonus track
That shit was the funniest ending to a movie ever lmao idk how people think this was a good sequel

Proximus got the secret “death by birds” achievement
5:50 I saw Koba's face!
I didn’t see it
@@Sadness908 I'm saying Proximus IS Koba, think about it
@@stevenwagner-rx7ew he could be a descendant , but not koba himself
They're both Bonobos so I figured there'd be some resemblance to facial features.
Lmfao @@stevenwagner-rx7ew
Proxima was definitely right, you should never trust a human but you also can’t trust Proxima either.
This movie had such amazing writing, this saga is not underrated but it should be bigger than it is. I’m kinda glad its a hidden gem and really can’t wait for the sequels
That's the thing, the more some of these evolved apes start thinking/acting like that, the more like us they become. I definitely think that's one of the main points this reboot series is going to keep hammering; there's NO difference between us now, and we should all get along but we won't.
One of these movies really needs to point out that humans are apes too lol.
“Amazing writing” 😂 your standards are broken
@@jamescuttler8047 And your standards aren't?
@@formideimoshumans aren’t apes stop it
In a way Proximus is like Koba. He has a justified fear of the humans, but he uses said fear as an excuse to hurt and kill other apes under a twisted version of Caesar's ideology.
I’m personally interested to see where this new trilogy goes. I’ll always miss Caesar, but who said fictional characters can’t age with us?? That’s one of the biggest lessons in fiction, the acceptance of change.
He was one of the first villains to be revealed for this year and I even made a short too and all except one has been defeated now
Even if humans didn't have their great intelligence and guns, they'd still be formidable opponents for the apes to try and capture. Humans ability to accurately throw spears with fantastic force is unmatched in the animal kingdom, with the average being able to throw a sharp projectile about 32 feet with lethal force. Fifty humans working together and hurling javelins would be nothing to mess with for melee-based apes.
Unmatched in the animal kingdom as we know it. These intelligent apes are not in animal kingdom as we know it, if they were, humans would definitely not be unmatched.
@@ade5004 Yeah, they would be. It has to do with how the muscles are connected to the skeletal structure and the way the waist/torso/shoulders/arms are shaped etc that gives humans fantastic throwing power.
Believe it or not, but gorilla's can't "punch" very hard. They can fist-down slam your head like a grape, don't get me wrong, but they have surprisingly weak punches, because it's the same 'throwing' motion that we're great at.
@@ade5004biomechamics are still the the same.
I really miss cesar he was a true leader
Noa: Thanks a lot everyone. Way to help a brother out. 😑
Good thing proximus let Koda finish the cast time on his ult.
4:48 next to Anaya in this scene
You can see how cursed Rocket looks with tan skin and a an intact ear
Saw this movie 3x at the theaters by myself.
Absolutely love it!!!
Why does this scene gives me Jurassic Park 3 Vibes 5:38
5:50 Proximus face before his fall is a little bit scary looking
I'm still a little lost on why they left the vault through the big door in front of everyone but man this scene is so good. I wonder where the apes that didn't drown but weren't part of Eagle clan went.
The plan was to flood the vault after opening it
I guess you didn't watch the movie if you don't know why
The apes that weren’t eagle clan were all living in the kingdom. Most likely, factions formed based on Proximus’ kingdom template.
Why noa shouted no at mae. He knew this plan right?
@@hp.8 he didn't expect Proximus to bring his people into the vault
1:46 that needs to happen to Oakland
actually real ceaser is reborn in the name of noa. by the way, it is a pretty good movie
What a great movie. Loved this movie.
I loved it too, I'm glad that I got to see it in the movie theaters and wore my favorite Planet of the Apes t-shirt along with it.
🖤🌎🦍🍿🎬🖤
The trailer tricked the hell out of me I thought Noa was gonna fight Proximus first not Sylva and pretty damn cool that he played the Smart Game over them instead of Full On Brawling kinda like the way Caesar did with Koba by goading him into battle though I hope if Proximus is still alive and returns Noa will be stronger for there second battle
A head canon I have is that when the eagle clan is returning home, not only do they take the costal clans materials, which was scene in the film, but they take in any survivors of the flood and make them memebrs
There’s a deleted scene showing Noa and his clan leaving while the apes enslaved by proximus joined them. Alos Noa says apes together strong.
@@mynameiskev06 I just found out about that scene and I really like it. Noa says apes together strong and I was right about the costal clan joining the eagle clan.
There’s no way he’s dead.
... and they always leave a back door why the bad guy may not really be dead in the end.
Sylva was a huge dumba$$ for still trying to kill Noa when the place was flooding lmao 💀💀
1:05 look at Proximus Caesars face.
He is so fascinated seeing how superior that firearm is when compared to the weapons they’ve been using.
While Mae blew up the dam to kept the last species of humanity safe, she also saved the apes too, if Proximus got his hands on those weapons other clans would be in danger, since his henchmen have no problem killing their own species
Ape. Together. Strong!
Really great scene 😨😮😂

Mae & Noa has 1000+ IQ
There is no such thing as "IQ" only small minded thinks there is.
I wish while Proximus was beating Noa, Ceaser could appear and shout "No!"
2:09, when the 300 pound women takes one step into the pool
*Belgian Minister of Health**
He ain’t dead, I refuse to believe it
Dawg that was a high drop and even if he didn’t die by impact, apes can’t swim, so he would’ve drowned either way. He’s most definitely dead lol
@@daz-ph8wv fr, I don't get why so many people think he's still alive after falling that high into water with rocks at the bottom.

They look so much like a certian demographic
I think proximus still alive
part 5 is waving
Forgot how good this movie is
Koba blinded by vengeance
Proximus blinded by eagles

Noa: Proximus…weaker
Proximus weak

They use the golden eagle for this
Cesar will be proud
Add another villain death by falling to the list
I hope proximus would be back if there'll be another war against humans
No
I haven’t seen the movie, is proximus Caesar the OG Caesar? Like the one with James Franco
No. This movie takes place 300 years after the last planet of the apes movie.
Just like LOTR them eagles putting in the work at the end.
Loved this movie sooo bad
😮 Far-out 😳
猿の惑星対テラフォーマーズってできないでしょうか?どちらが勝っても人類に未来は無い第二弾として。
I would say that either Proximus Caesar is a descendant of Koba or is Koba reincarnated 🤔🤔🤔🤔
First water then hawks
The sad part is that, when Mae betrays Noa (for the survival of her kind, but still) it kind of proved Proximus right that "apes cannot trust humans" and that "humans and apes cannot live in peace".
And honestly, neither side is really to blame. It's just that both sides think "the continued existence of one or the other is mutually exclusive".
Just watched this, brilliant film. Although I felt like the story could have been spread over 2 movies and given characters like Raka more, I didnt feel like i had enough time to connect with him to make his death a real impact.
that death by birds had me dying laughing in the theater. I wasn’t feeling it. Could’ve been better.
👍🏿💯
Okay $__$
Wait.. is Proximus the same "Ceaser" from the first movie? Did he go bad??
No he twist his words though
No, it is something more like what happened in the roman empire. Imperators were given the name "Caesar" as some sort of title. Proximus wishes to recreate that system, granting himself the name of Caesar as a title to legitimate his claim to rule the apes. Basically, Proximus is someone else that took that name.
What is that mandra called tho anyone know
Am I losing my mind or is this thing filled with bots?

Who beats Koba or Proximus Caesar?
oooooaaaaahhhhhhh ooooooo OO OO
Ooooooo OO OO
If they don’t bring proximus or at least the gorilla back, I doubt I’ll return to see the next one ngl
You know when you think about it you'll realise they could've just ganged up on Proximus...
I don’t understand how Proximus didn’t know what a gun was. Apes used guns in the last 2 movies. Did Trevathan not mention them to proximus?
This is 300 years later. Majority of Apes didn't even have guns. The ones they did have in the 3rd movie, they didn't keep. Caesar didn't like guns.
I suppose Proximus would hear stories of them but not actually know what they look like. So when he saw one in person it may have been unfamiliar to his expectations.
@@Skalesthegoat thats fair but did maurice ban guns after caesar’s death or something cause its odd this movie takes place 300 years in the future and none of the apes use guns. You would think that would be the main weapon of choice since its more advanced than the weapons used in this movie.
@@pascual4199 Caesar didn’t like guns. Even when he had access to them after Koba died, we don’t see him use them. Clearly Maurice & Rocket followed suit with Caesar’s ideology.
@@BrandonLesleeTV in war of the planet of the apes Caesar used a shot gun and actually killed nova’s father with it.
