- Director Wes Ball breathes new life into the global, epic franchise set several generations in the future following Caesar’s reign, in which apes are the dominant species living harmoniously and humans have been reduced to living in the shadows. As a new tyrannical ape leader builds his empire, one young ape undertakes a harrowing journey that will cause him to question all that he has known about the past and to make choices that will define a future for apes and humans alike.
“Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” is directed by Wes Ball (the “Maze Runner” trilogy) and stars Owen Teague (“IT”), Freya Allan (“The Witcher”), Kevin Durand (“Locke & Key”), Peter Macon (“Shameless”), and William H. Macy (“Fargo”). The screenplay is by Josh Friedman (“War of the Worlds”) and Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver (“Avatar: The Way of Water”) and Patrick Aison (“Prey”), based on characters created by Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver, and the producers are Wes Ball, Joe Hartwick, Jr., p.g.a. (“The Maze Runner”), Rick Jaffa, p.g.a., Amanda Silver, p.g.a., Jason Reed, p.g.a. (“Mulan”), with Peter Chernin (the “Planet of the Apes” trilogy) and Jenno Topping (“Ford v. Ferrari”) serving as executive producers. - ภาพยนตร์และแอนิเมชัน
Why is it this franchise is the most underrated sleeper hit of the decade. It’s just quietly carving out its own universe creating legendary stories each film
In my opinion the best movie franchise out there.
The villains are bonobos Wich is the most peaceful ape, Wich shows how twisted the villains have to be.
The ape behaviour is much better then the ancient planet of the apes franchise wich makes it more compelling.
itsa remake of a famous series of movies..wtf are you talking about

@@bladerj it's a different take.
It's has to have the same stories for it to be a remake.
This has the same concept and name but it's completely different.
The modern day franchise begin when apes where intelligent and shows how one ape changed everything.
And unknowingly sets out a disease that kills most humans and leave the survivers primitive.
And it now goes into civilization.
The old movies where set in a time where they where technically advanced.
So not a remake.

Rise, dawn, and war are genuinely some of the most underappreciated masterpieces, this may not be Matt Reeves, but this is looking phenomenal
They released at a time when superheroes ruled the box office. Thankfully they were good enough films to show some return on investment. Now we get the opportunity to continue the franchise!
It's phenomenal because it's a throwback to rhe 1968 movie
yes the first movie loosely showed the ending of 1 of the movies i think but this 1 shows the original nearly fully.@@robertsmith20022

"Apes and humans lived side by side" is putting it very very generously
Wondering what time they are referencing also..
Can’t be talking about the zoos, pretty insulting..
During the 300 year gap maybe they did for some period of time.
There are more time periods other than the modern era. Humans used to live in nature. Zoos and animal testing being commonplace is a very new thing.
Might be a reference to apes like Caesar and Koba . Those apes had to have left behind something like a ape bible
Maybe during the time when humans were still ape-like savages😅

Planet of the Apes is one of those movie ideas that sounds stupid/silly on paper but can be an unparalleled experience in practice
It never sounded stupid or silly. Astronauts time warp to the future and find evolved apes... That's awesome sci-fi. Now, they have made some really bad movies out of the concept. Mark Wahlberg's in 2001 was awful. They made like 10 sequels to the original too, most of which were trash. But the concept has always been a good one.
Ummm…it’s an amazing concept that doesn’t sound stupid or silly! Good gravy, it seems as if YOU’RE the one who’s stupid, or at least lacking imagination. I pity you.

This can be because the basic idea was actually taken from a real life mythological aspect...
"Humans living Together with Apes"
They could be referring to an in-universe era where they co-existed but, also there is a mythological aspect to this as well...
In Hindu mythology, Apes and Monkeys are a VERY powerful part of history... They did indeed live just as the civilization shown here... In fact they were more advanced than many humans...
Their strength was also supreme even when compared to larger than life human mythological counterparts...
And btw, not to put any cringe religious twist on this, but I guess the original idea for this series was taken from Hindu Mythology...
(Another fun fact : almost 30-40% Hindus still worship "Hanuman" as their deity, and he is an Ape-Human Hybrid)

@@JuniorMaffewsi thought rocket was at 0:47 but probably not
Their descendants could be in the movie
I think the ape who protects the woman and says its wrong to hunt humans is of Caesars bloodline
@@galaxy1447 this movie takes place 300 years later
Man, that trailer got me excited. This film looks like it's gonna be a Hit..💯👀
I'm 53 and was obsessed with the original franchise in the 70s as a kid. I'm glad I lived to see it be rebooted. These movies are amazing and it may be the best franchise ever created.
I just hope, we as fans, get to see the franchise come full circle and it ends (or starts a new trilogy) with a remake of the 1968 movie.
Please give us that!
I'm 67 I've seen them all. I have all the moves. I just learned about this today I can't wait
@@LennyMolnar-rs8df friend, there is a prequel trilogy that you need to watch before this one: Rise of the POA, Dawn of the POA and War for the POA. Chem them out.
But is it a reboot? Isn’t it a continuation of the prequels to the original from 1968?
Isn’t a reboot like a restart?
Greetings from Germany, I’m also looking forward to this movie ❤
Agreed. The real miracle would have the apes evolve into the 1968 version, no remake required.
@@LennyMolnar-rs8df i am 21 . I grew up with these movies. I recently saw the old ones . Masterpice of a franchise
Got the chills when he said "together strong".
The reboot of this 70's franchise turned up really good. I enjoyed all of it starting with the one by Tim Burton.
Saw this in IMAX for early access
I need more Proximus Caesar 😭
0:59 The throne has Caesars Window symbol
Nice attention to detail! It's been so long since I've watched the movie I almost forgot what it looked like...
Was looking to see who else saw that. Like it's become a symbol of leadership over time
Wow. Didn’t even notice that 🔥🔥 good attention to detail
0:48 Caesar's window symbol is also on the rusted broken down ship outside. When all the Apes come walking on the sand.
That design seems to have become a universal symbol to apes now.
Like waves mean water or an X means point of interest to us, to apes that symbol might mean a concept such as leadership or knowledge.
This looks amazing! Thank you for not erasing the previous trilogy like most sequel-reboots do.
This isn't a reboot.
it is
@@ProtagonisTeneT
@@Zer0-p6y It is not. It is a direct sequel to War of the Planet of the Apes. Nothing is reset. Unless you are calling it a reboot of the original Planet of the Apes movies, which technically the entire series is.
Yeah, stop rebooting. Just make a continuous story
@@Zer0-p6y No, it's not. A reboot overrides what immediately came before, as opposed to simply continuing with the story. This is picking up after the events of War, and does not override those events. Ergo, not a reboot, but a sequel. Rise of the Planet of the Apes was a reboot, as it essentially established its own canon and timeline and overrode the prior 2001 Planet of the Apes.
My Dad was a Huge fan of the Series from the 70s. He would've probably Loved the newer ones
