i don't know how to thank you after two weeks without a car that was even stripped the cylinder head to check the valves finally we found the problem 4321 not 1234 No 4 coil was the bad one
Nice video it is very common for the coils to fail have changed loads but why don’t you test it before replacement or switch to another cylinder and see if the moves to that cylinder 👍

I have a 208 1.6 petrol and the error code it shows is p1339 and the fan dont turn off. It only appears when the engine is really cold, like in the morning. And sometimes when traveling at speed (80km/p aprox) it feel like losing power and response. In your experience is this "normal" and can it be fixed by changing the ignition coil an cylinder 3?
@@endalin3359 Not yet. The code changed from p1339 to p1340. And now it does it every time it gets hot. Already changed 4 sparks 4 coils 4 injectors and still the same. People tells me it might be a valve or even the head itself
Very informative video, thanks so much. I have one question: If you wanted to make sure that it is the coil failing. Swapping the coils, e.g., between cylinders 1 and 2 would cause the corresponding error message to appear (i.e., misfire on cyl 2 instead of 1). Does that make sense? Are the corresponding error codes P1338 = cyl 2, P1339 = cyl3, P1340 = cyl4? Thanks!
+mohamed ali In the end, the fix was to replace all spark plugs, which were approaching their useful lifespan. The mechanic told me that is usually the very first step since the coils fail only very rarely. In my case it was a cheap and easy fix.

Hello, I have a peugeot 207 1.6vti 88kw, I have a problem with error p1338, error on the second cylinder, I changed the spark plugs and the bulbs and the same problem occurs again, the car has no power and is sluggish when driving and immediately when the engine starts the fan turns on, until what could be the problem, if not maybe the crankshaft sensor?
I am assuming if 1337 is cylinder 1 then 1338 is Cylinder 2, 1339 would be cylinder 3 and P1340 would be cylinder 4. Mine is p1340 and the diagnosis tool tells me it’s cylinder 4.
I was driving my car and the engine warning light came on - did a diagnostic on it and it has come up with a P1337 error - looks like a faulty coil in cylinder 1. 19 · Jul 24, 2020 Hi all, I have just got ours back from the “Peugeot Specialists” after 40 days and they tell me they don’t know what the issue is! I paid $3000 to have it back doing exactly what it was doing when I took it in. Their next guess is either oval bore or stuck oil rings in number 4 cylinder (apparently the one on the left looking at the engine). I have now paid more than the car is worth to have a specialist repairer tell me that a 1600cc engine has beaten them.
