Great tip and I've used this technique before. I find that for small corrections I can use the adjustment brush in lightroom with the fine hue adjustment like 1.2 to 2.0ish toward yellow and slightly desaturate say -3 to -5 and you get a very similar correction. Give it a whirl and see of it fits your tastes? Great video and work. Thanks for taking the time to share.

Mike, this is excellent. Thanks for posting. Curious if you have any tips for rough patches of skin and how you deal with it. How to keep it looking natural and not photoshopped. I see too many people's work or even tutorials online where the subjects look obviously touched up.

I'm a big fan of using the Patch Tool in photoshop for clearing up blemishes. It works great, is extremely precise, and doesn't give the fake "softness" that you sometimes get with the spot healing brush. Frequency Separation can also work well if you really really limit the amount of blur applies to the tone layer. I think sometimes it's easy to go overboard with the blur, which then can tip the scales more into a fake look. I could make a video about it if that helps. Thanks for your question, it's a good one.
