Hitomi Melonade it’s astonishing to see how people already are talking about the futur mentioning a possible 50 or 100 years as if it was something that will surely going to exist... stay focus on the present damn ! This is the reason why the world is in crisis right now. This society failed because we always focus on what we would like for the futur and keep on always projecting and talk about the futur and nobody focused on the reality of the present. And now with this coronavirus everybody act surprised. I don’t know about you but tomorrow is not guaranteed. And I think it’s fucking time for people to open their blindfolded heart.

@CarlosChip Morales I hear you from a legal perspective but I'm not so much referencing the legal side of things as I am the human side. Imagine you lose your job, family, and house and for the first time in your life, you find yourself living at a shelter or on the street. You may feel confused, scared, ashamed, and worried about the future. Then, I come in with a camera and start snapping pictures or taking videos for my video series or documentary I'm doing on homelessness. Now, I may have the legal right to do so but how would you feel as the subject of my film without having given your consent? Have I honored your right to decide whether you want your face in my film? Did I do you the common courtesy of asking? That is what I'm discussing. Homeless people are not street furniture or ornamentation. They are people. And people should be respected as such.

When I'm older, I hope I can be financially stable enough to help those around me. That's a dream of mine. Rather than food, I'd want to give gift cards for food chains. That way, they could get hot food when they are hungry instead of having to save food to be eaten cold later.

    • @jscorpio1987

Good for you for not putting homeless individuals in your video without consent (it would be inappropriate). 👍 I agree, Corona Virus has changed our city. For a portion of November & December 2019 (therefore, approximately 3 months ago), I stayed at Place des Arts Motel on Sherbrooke (near Park Avenue). It’s in close proximity to McGill University, FACE (an EMSB school), many businesses. The streets were constantly filled with people at all hours. Last week (mid March, 2020) I went for a bike ride along Sherbrooke (going West), and (naturally) it felt very unusual to see the streets so empty. No students, no construction, no employees from local shops. This pandemic is very scary. It is great to see people self-isolating, self-distancing, & self-quarantining, otherwise the spread of COVID-19 🦠 would be rampant (or, as PM Legault has stated, the transmission would be worse than it is now). Thanks for the video. 🙏😔

My favourite city of Quebec. I am from Northern Quebec and I travel 8-10hrs to reach Montreal. I really miss the population on the streets. Hope that this virus ends sooner..... Craving for a Double cheeseburger at 5 Guys.

First time I went to Montreal was during a summer and it was great... lots of street activities to enjoy. Another time I went during the fall and it just depressed me... no one out and the city just lacked life. It was a bit surreal like being at a funeral or something ... hard to describe.

Pretty empty for Montreal but just like Ottawa, still too many people out. Wish people would take this more seriously and just stay in! Quebec is not as bad as Ontario but it will get there is people don't make an effort to self-isolate! Heartwarming video Dan. Stay safe my friend!
