Often times, u spend $136 on a metro card, and then need to pay for an Uber b/c the train is delayed. It's very abusive. Then a billionaire leave 50 million to a cat.

Come back to St. Laurent and turn right to continue north. Don't miss "The Main" as you walk, which is a renowned local deli (don't let the lack of decor fool you). Keep going till you hit Duluth and hang a right. Keep going till you hit Hotel de Ville. Let your eyes take in the smorgasbord of opportunities at every step.

Ma suggestion: Montréal se visite bien en “parcours” thématiques.

Actually, this is what Montreal is all about, high energy, free spirit, many different cultures respecting one another, many different ethnic groups mixing together and the song Summertime definitely belongs to Montreal Québec since we celebrate summer here, even under the rain. The nightlife is hard to beat if you know where to go.
Also, you REALLY want to learn some French and try to speak it everywhere. But you will be able to function just fine almost everywhere (unless you are trying to cruise in that nightlife) regardless of your actual level of French. The rate of bilingualism is high in Montreal, and most here speak 'some' English, with many fluent. If they see you 'trying' but having a hard time, the vast majority will switch to English. The important thing is that you try.
Oh... And pot is legal in Canada.

This is informative. Looking to relocate to Montreal from NYC. In NYC, if yr not a billionaire u can't enjoy your life. It takes an hr on the subway to get 2 miles away. I make all of my own meals, as restaurants and bars r overpriced. Also, rent is 2k-5k throughout NYC (including Staten Island, Last stop in Queens, 2 hrs into Brooklyn, the Bronx, etc). People agree to pay $1500 to have roommates. People also agree to pay 2k for apartments that r 10 min walk from the train that is always under construction and rats everywhere. I have lived here since 2001, thinking it would improve. Middle class and poor/homeless pay all the taxes, and u cannot enjoy your life. Most people evaporated during COVID. They dont tax billionaires properly. Also, if u commute in from NJ, it can cost $30 roundtrip to go to wk. Chris Christie did that. Also NYS tax, NYC tax. If u live in NJ u pay that tax as well.

Love going to Montreal from Toronto..Winter time in Montreal like Toronto if you live near the subway You are able to get to the underground city Which has everything you need for winter. If not It takes you closer to somewhere that has what you need One of the downsides of Montreal is in deed traffic Keeping in mind many people are traveling from the east coast to west And West to east Many of them stay in Montreal over night And view the city Old port is packed with people wanting to see alittle taste of europe with cobble stone roads The A20 is always under construction And always has a crash choking the traffic back for miles Never use it on a longweekend You will spend most of it on that highway There is a by-pass highway Which has a toll to cross it...If i did not get stuck trying to merge over I would of spent the money lol If you are a foodie This is one of the great stops ...

I'm debating between a few spots in Quebec to move to in 2023. I visited Montreal in 2018, but it was much more vacant in terms of foot traffic pretty much everywhere, unlike this footage here. I was there for 3 days and it felt like a ghost city. Pretty, though. Very pretty.

I would like to move to Montreal. I live in Vancouver and honestly, is very hard to make friends or connections here. I don’t know which is the reason but im not the only one who think that Vancouver is a beautiful place but people are very very strange and distant
