Everyone knocking the 1.5t, it's a good car never gave me issues.
yea 1.5t is great! 2.0T is more speed thats all.
I feel like people don’t understand any engine can be good or bad. A lot of stuff plays into engine life

Just got a 2020 accord with 1.5T. It's the civic si engine so not bad for power But accord weights more than civic. 2.0T is civic type R size but not same turbo. If you must have a very quick accord get the 2.0.

Let me start of with I wasn’t a big fan of the 1.5T but with the work you’ve done I have to say I love it! Also Where did you find the intercooler resonator delete cap?! And do they make it for the 2.0?!?
yea! 2.0T is a beast. get a 2.0t and modify that one if you want to. 2.0t is a diffferent vibe and yea the plug also goes for the 2.0t but it's different process to remove the intercooler resonator delete for the 2.0t. I should make a video for it soon!

I’m a bit new to Upgrading Honda’s so forgive me if these are stupid questions, but I’m wondering what the reasons are for the oil catch can and deleting the intercooler resonator ?
Oil catch can purifys your oil in the engine. Like all the dirt and grime and moist that can build up in your intake manifold will be filtered inside the oil catch can. th-cam.com/video/3Xe8HF2ax1Q/w-d-xo.html
And deleting the intercooler resonator deleted gives a bit HP car feels lighter and turbo will sound a bit louder almost quick throttle response

I want to do these mods on mine but I’m pretty sure the car won’t pass a smog in Cali if I do huh I honestly don’t know much about cars I just know I used to own a 2006 IS 350 Lexus and is was much louder than my Honda Accord 1.5t I have now and I just want it to sound good and drive fast.

So I was at the dealer earlier and looking to trade my 2012 TL for a new accord.I test drove both the 2.0t and the 1.5 and man the 2.0t is so worth it.It makes so much more power,has a proper transmission and its not that more expensive.The 1.5t is sluggish and gutless on top of having a shitty cvt.Thats was my experience that I wanted to share and Im now a new owner of a 2.0t 10 speed :D

I have the 1.5t and mine isn't sluggish at all, and yes the 2.0 is going to be much better as far as performance wise. But, the 1.5t is still good, most don't like the 2.0t bc of the low profile tires. And I've been there and I hated it.
@@SuperRedman76 1.5T Sport has the same wheels and tires. Most people don't like the 2.0 because it was a $4,000 option. 😂

Hi I just bought a Honda accord today. I'm new to the car community and I was wondering whats the first performance mod I should do ? I think it's just the base model
i mean if you got a 1.5t then you can't really add performance to it since it's a CVT.
@@RedLineMods1 yes you can, you just can't do much bc of it. Tuning is definitely not an option bc of the cvt, it only works for the 2.0t model. Don't unencourage people just bc they have the 1.5t. They can still do the air intake, headers and exhaust. Just not the delete and tuning.
The first thing to start with is the Air intake, that's the first thing. Then, if you wan to change out the headers and down pipe to an after market catback exhaust. That's honestly all I'd do, and I have a 1.5t, tuning isn't needed unless you have the 2.0t Sport model.

Put the stock res back on cuz that’s too quiet I got a 1.5 full straight pipe and threw back on my res and it sounds great especially with a stage two tune like mine

I would say get catless downpipe and vibrant resonator. So you don’t have to spend money on a front pipe. 💪🏽 and then do the muffler delete.

Nope. Not for me. Some people had it i dont know why maybe the tune was not properly installed. either way I wouldnt risk modifying it on a 1.5t anymore. get a 2.0t and that one is a beast when tuned.
I had a ktuner stage 3 on mine and the transmission is dead..stage 2 is safe?
I’ve been on stage 2 for almost a year and no issues honestly.
I have Ktune stage 2 and my trans feels like it's slipping once you hit around 100mph

Top mods: upgrade head gasket, upgrade to arp bolt heads, upgrade the speakers.
What does the intercooler delete do?
Makes the car feel lighter and gets more air flow to the turbo.. but don’t modify the 1.5t transmission will fail within months 😫

Anyone sport 1.5t or 2.0t will get pops in sport mode.
You’ll get less just driving in sport mode but when you use paddle shifters, you get more. 💪🏽

Be careful using the improved throttle response on the ktuner. The CVT transmission is week and can’t handle a lot of power increases. I just had to have my CVT transmission replaced in my 2018 1.5t

Also after flashing it back to stock, the fuel delivery got messed up for some reason from the tuning, now I have new injectors and new spark plugs and the dealership had to have a Honda field engineer tech come help to diagnose the issue. The tech suggested that if I want to tune it again, to go with Hondata.
Oh nice! They even suggested you to use hondata if you want to tune it again. Lol I thought they would say don’t tune it
@@RedLineMods1 he told me not to tune it, but to have a shop tune it.😂 and yes to use Hondata because Honda bought them out, from what the Honda dealership tech said. So I’m just gonna keep doing bolt ons but concentrate mainly on upgrading the handling and steering systems.

By the looks of that engine filter, you’re going to get tons of heat soak. The stock one probably works more efficiently.

Yea I agree. Once I got stage 2 tune. I felt like I needed more air so I went with closed box and performance jumped up as it should lol

Open box filter isn’t good since it soaks in heat.. closed box is the way to go for performance and stable air flow. 💪🏽

Of course. Dealership always looks for dumb reasons to make you pay.
Any type of modification will void a warranty if it is found to be the root cause of the failure. I work side by side with oem’s. as fun as tuning is. Unless we have money saved for oh shit moments it’s best to leave as is.

The ticking noise is always gonna there in turbo cars. I've asked many people and people who knows cars with turbo, they say its normal for a turbo car lol.
