Thank you so much for first focusing on the two biggest gripes people have with this controller which are the lack of jog wheel track seeking and how to pitch shift the master and cued track separately. It's really not as complicated as people make it to be. I already kinda new how to do so from other tutorials but you made it very simple and easy to understand.
Thanks for the video. Very interesting. I think a stay a little bit longer with my s4 mk2. The s8 it's a great step forwards. I like to see the next development on a s10 or s8 mk2 maybe. Remember it's the first one real digital.
Hi! Can you please make a tutorial on how to use the serato control CD's. I have Pioneer cdj 2000 and a rane TTM57 MKII mixer. I'm having trouble getting it to work. i am using a macbook pro late 2013 with retina display...

"Pressing Shift and Cue jumps you straight back to the beginning..." .... or you could just hit the button that corresponds with that cue marker. Why bother with two buttons when you can just hit one?
A couple things here i find wrong. The freeze function has been on tractor for a while. I have a CD of Traktor DJ3 The old software that they made, and it has freeze in it. I use freze all the time. maybe on this new controller you can use it in more places because in the program its available on the delay effect and on reverb. (as far as i know.) Second the seek on the touch works the same way that the seek does on CDJs without invert. naturally we read from the top left to the bottom right. with on a circular object is clockwise. the invert function is just what Apple calls natural scroll or whatever and is the same way you would use it on your smartphone or the newer Apple laptops where its almost like grabbing an actual piece of paper.
Hi, we mean the "new" Freeze (as ported over from Traktor DJ on iOS), otherwise called "Slicer". Yes, seek on the touchstrip works like it doesn't on CJDs (or other DJ controllers), we don't talk about inverting that, we talk about inverting the nudge and scratch functions. Thanks for the feedback.
Starting from pitch control... too complicated in my humble opinion... Isn't it supposed for technology to make things easier and more "user friendly"? So this is a transitional "machine". Better wait for the evolution
It's a question of workflow. NI clearly believes most DJs aren't going to want to use individual deck pitch controls with its software/hardware, so has depreciated it. It frees up room for other stuff that the company believes is going to be more important for its target audience.

Thanks Phil, where are the following videos in this series?
Sandy Maclarty We'll do one a week for the next few weeks, apart from over the holidays when we'll be taking a long-earned break!
Exactly what I needed thanks!
Have you got the S8 Jim or are you just considering it?
I'm getting the s8 in two weeks, so great timing!
Jim Richard Definitely let us know how you get on, Jim...
the S8 is a traktor studio, which is better than a maschine studio imo.
Thanks Patrick!

+Harli Qwin Hey, thanks for your question - not sure what you mean exactly? If you could elaborate a little on your issue, I'd be glad to help :)

You dont need a laptop has its own built in screen yet hes connected to alaptop.. lol
It needs a laptop to run but the screens are a nice touch and mean you don't have to stare at your laptop so much :)
So actual DJ skills like beat matching are now irrelevant with this master sync rubbish???
No one said that..
you talking too much! Not too much talking🙏
