    S8 have everything what you need to be job done. I use it with two D2 controllers and the work is perfect and my live streams are nice and clean :)

    Thanks for this great demo series.
    I've been looking at several options for software controllers and have to admit I have been tempted by the recently announced DDJ-RZs.
    Having owned several CDJs in the past though, the mechanical nature of jog wheels means they eventually wear or break down.
    The touch sliders looks like a real great alternative.

    When you're holding the shift key and adjusting the tempo does it do it instantly or only after you let go..?🍺

    why is it when my turntables are active and playing i can't touch the "play button" on the same deck as the table is playing without the table being disconnected and then the only way to get it back is to close and re open tractor?

    big fan of native intruments but this is an epic fail removing the jog wheel.. was hard enough coming off vinyl let alone losing jog wheel. finding that cue looked awkward.. although the bar does look useful for getting to almost the right spot without making cues but really that last adjustmented needed a jog wheel.. clealy gonna be no scratching on this either... hoping i can run a s4 with two dvs technics does anyone know if this is possible..?

    I really dont get the point of not just using sync if you can get visual feedback how out both tracks are

    • @PointBlankMusicSchool
      @PointBlankMusicSchool  9 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Just to show you that it can be done without sync!

    • @nonamemate6095

      +Doppler ive just got this and i dont want to know how to sync, its all part of being a dj the more you take out of it the less fun it becomes

    • @huubmansvelt7386
      @huubmansvelt7386 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Doppler you sir, are absolutely right. people who cry about sync have had to learn beatmatching for a long time, and are jalouse because we dont have to learn it. gives us more time to be using effects and really setting an atmosphere and a set with a story.. no disrespect for the old guys, but this is going to be the new way to dj, using parts of a track instead of just thinking in whole tracks..

    • @sean6948
      @sean6948 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Huub Mansvelt yes but beatmatching is fun, i cant understand why you wouldnt want to beatmatch, when you line those beats up its a great feeling, having said that beatmatching with vinyl can take up most of your mix, i got the S8 at xmas and at first i was bored because the tunes were synced and i was just wait waiting, the S8 is a proper machine though that lets you be creative, so yes i agree with you that you can set an atmosphere with effects and remix but you have to be good, not just press whatever you like when you like cos you can cos its synced, theres an art to djing sync or no sync, lets face it its all good fun and i dont understand the argument either way, there should be no arguing aslong as the music sounds good then thats what its all about.

    • @spoony01428
      @spoony01428 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sean But I agree. beatmatching is much more satisfying and skillful. I like sync when im djing wasted at a house party or just flipping songs out of my itunes library to see how they sound together. on the whole though if im jamming or doing a proper set I prefer to beatmatch. that being said though it entirely depends on your rig: if you want to beatmatch get some cdjs, there is no point beatmatching on midi decks because people will just think you are syncing anyway!

    If anyone is considering a S8 in 2021..... it's a lovely toy, great to play at home.... but the soundcard is insanely weak, this cannot be used on a serious soundsystem. know this if you considering one in second hand at low price: THIS IS A TOY
    wish I read that before waisting 600$

    • @julienramel222
      @julienramel222 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@nickbarcio hmm... I never tried it, but as I see 99.9% pioneer gear in clubs, I'm gonna switch to a record box compatible controller as soon as I can sell my s8.
      NI has great stuff for live, but I came to the conclusion that the DJ stuff is just for home play.
