Thank you Simon. So good to see and hear you. I hope Norman is well as well. I will never forget you playing with Norman next to your rig in the infield in 2019. It was you that made me cheer for a Penske ride. All my best to you and thank you too for honoring Gil.

An extremely fitting tribute to a great man in Gil de Ferran by my favorite race car driver Simon Pagenaud. No point in going to the great event without Simon in it.

That’s a nice bucket and a great tribute to one of my favorite racers. Well done, Simon, my birthday buddy (except I’m a year younger), and I’m glad we’ll get to see you on track again this week even if it’s not in anger (yet).

Marshall Pruitt is just so wonderful, and to see Simon there to remember and thank Gil in his own way is more than beautiful. Simon is now coaching Scotty McLaughlin just as Gil helped Simon back in the day. All of his fans hope and pray to see Simon back racing soon if not in Indy, then perhaps in sportscars, where he was also a champion. With his experience and superior driving skill, he qualifies anywhere!

Question, is the car still owned by Penske? or the IMS Museum? or other?

    • @projoebiochem

Penske has maintained ownership of all of his recent winners. The only ones that I’m pretty sure that he doesn’t own are the ‘72 Donahue McLaren (IMS Museum) and the 1981 B. Unser Penske that Bobby kept (don’t know what happened to it after his passing).

"Not here to talk about you?" It seems criminal not to ask a simple question of how he's doing, even if there is going to be a follow up video on his health considering how long he's been out. Unfortunate.

The video wasn’t about Simon, it was about Simon being asked to drive the car, the car and so forth. I also assume Simon isn’t ready to go public with his health and he is entitled to privacy, simple as that.
