Please make as many of these as you can lol. When the Wii shop was announced to close and because of the PSN Store closure scare, I spent a good month or so compiling as many potential games that I would buy on them before they were gone. I bought as many as I could and while I couldn't buy them all, I at least gave it one last good effort. The same thing is happening again.

@@FromTheVoidGames Not that we should need to, but the Wii is one of the easier consoles to hack. Out of the ones I have, I rank the PSP the easiest, Wii second, PS Vita third and PS3 the most complicated to hack and maintain. The only hiccup I had for the Wii was picking an OS, but the rest is pretty light. I have no idea about the handhelds, though.

I heard that the ability to add points went away the day after it did. I don't get how it's possible that I heard so little about it then, while now I've heard about this in lots of places. 3DS and Wii U sales combined are less than Wii sales.

yup. theyre basically forcing our hands at pirating and emulating. once the eshop goes down and we lose all these digital exvlusive titles the only next thing is to either pay a ridiculous price for it or to emulate
Of all your content, these types of videos are my favorite. Too bad they are prompted by companies announcing store closures. The 3DS was my only console for a while so I was familiar with most of these and own about half but I love the passion you put into your videos, and calling out the prices is super helpful. You make me want to buy games I never considered or never even heard of. Keep it up man! Make as many of these as you can, there is so much good stuff to cover.
Yeah, I really like making these too. Thing is, when I do them without the store closure behind, the algorithm doesn't pick up because my audience is still small, so the videos end up kinda buried. I made one on PS3 and Vita recently very much in the same vein as this, full of hidden gems and lesser known games, but only a few hundred people watched it. I have a pretty expansive knowledge of the 3ds but even many of these passed me by! Mainly Sakura Samurai, Ninja Battle Heroes, and Nano Assault EX. Definitely reccomended putting Gurumin a Monstrous Adventure 3D on your next video, and Gotta Protectors. Yokai Watch games have also gotten super expensive save for digital. Mainly Blasters and YKW3.

I was not considering Gurumin because its not exclusive to the 3DS, being on PSP, Vita and Steam too, but reading your comment I saw that it had 3D in the title, so I may be able to include it under the pretext that its the only version that has 3D... I like the 3D so, to me its justifed, lol. And I love Gurumin, its fantastic. I'll consider it for sure. I'm glad I bought dragon quest 7 and 8 on day one. definitely a series you do not want to sleep on if you think very expensive you should check out the physical versions of four five and six on the DS they're over $100
Yeah, it's awesome how they made remakes/remasters of every single Dragon Quest from 1 to 8, most on the DS/3DS, unfortunetly like you said, all expensive now for the physical versions, which will get more so once the eshops close.

Although not a 3DS fan nor collector, I am highly worried about practice of shutting down digital stores without offering us an alternative. Thank goodness for the Redump project. It seems it's up to us gamers to preserve video game history.
yes, its a total disregard for the games. Companies don't treat them with the due respect, games are art. Yeah, things like Internet Archive are so important, while Nintendo keeps fighting off emulation like its the devil. Its shameful.

Watching this list reminds me of how awkward it was to be left handed during the ds era and how I had to research the controls before buying any game. Most of the touch screen controlled games were made with holding the stylus in you right hand in mind and it made many games a lot less enjoyable. Bless the games that made left hand modes

You should absolutely cover the Silver Falls games! There are five on 3DS and two on Wii U, and they're all fantastic and unique games that will be gone soon! They're made entirely by one guy and massive labor-of-love games for the systems.
You added one of my 2 favorite 3DS games which was Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology which is definitely one to be on this list. My other fav which is more just my taste is Stella Glow which has some really good music in it and if you like anime fire emblem, it's pretty dang good.

I didn't get to do this with the ds and was very upset and sad mine was broken from my dumb sibling. So now I feel like this is my redemption arc to try and get as MANY 3ds games I want to play as possible and enjoy the adventure along the way , enjoying the stressful will I or won't I find games for cheaper before they sky rocket . I'm buying a frame from a friend because I never saw it irl again after it's launch as we speak At least this way I know I'll have given it my best !

Yes, thats a top priority for the next video on exclusives. I did not cover it yet because I dont have them, and never played them. I wouldn't feel confirtable covering a game I never played, cause I like to go into a little bit of detail. So, tell me one thing if you dont mind, why is psychic specters so much more expensive than fleshy souls? Cause I found a Fleshy Souls for cheap here and if the gameplay is simmilar I'll play that instead to capture.
To be honest, don't have a lot of background on 3DS, but I think I need one now!! Also been a late-comer to the Wii U console, but I have enjoyed playing various games in it's library lately. If there is enough interest from your subscribers, would love to know what games are worth purchasing digitally for the Wii U.

Ninja Battle Heroes totally looks like Muramasa The Demon Blade. Muramasa Rebirth on Vita is one of my favorite games of all time so definitely looking into Ninja Battle Heroes. Another game I would recommend that you can get physically is Little Battlers eXperience.

I'd also like to add Terraria and the first Dementium to the list. Terraria is available in so many other devices but the 3DS version has its own exclusive contents due to no longer receiving updates and the firdt Dementium game was the only One of the 2 to receive an HD remaster on the 3DS. Fun fact, Dementium was the original pitch for Silent Hill on Nintendo so I find it to be of someehat historic value as well.
Liberation Maiden and Raidiant Historia PC are SUCH cool games. Anyone who hasn't played them has been missing out...and Nano Assault EX is one of the best shooters on the console. I LOVE playing it twin stick gray nipple style. Sakura Samurai is a great title I bought and played when it first came out. Such a shame that generations of gamers won't get to experience it (and Liberation Maiden) now thanks to the eshop closure. Unless, of course...🏴☠
That was good stuff. You get a thumb up because I think you did a good job. I don't think they're at risk because they have physical copies available, but a couple of my favorite niche 3DS games are Infinite Space and Ever Oasis. I reccomend them!

The absolute weirdest part for me is... I never bought "Rhythm Thief and the Emperor's Treasure"... All i did back then was download the demo. And all of a sudden, after a few years of not playing on my 3ds, I have the full game on my 3ds and I still don't know how.

Yeah it's worth it. I mean I enjoy seeing people's take on games and games I might of missed. Not a fan of rythmn games but some people are. Glad you said Dillon trilogy. Everyone is mentioning Rolling, but not the other two. Awhile back I decided to not get Rolling two. It's supposedly more of the same as 1 but Dead Heat differs. Which I bought the last time I heard of eshop closures outside of North America.

Rhythm Thief is so interesting and it’s a shame that it never developed into a full series outside of the cancelled iOS game. Definitely a rhythm game player must have. Same for Harmo Knight, thought the songs are less memorable the gameplay is extremely good.
12:35 - I was on my way of checking these games on the eshop on the 3DS. BUT, I can't find it and when I search on it in the search bar, it says can't find what you searched for (or similar words). How do I find these games on eshop? Would be very thankfull if someone could explain how to find it. Also, do they not exist on the European eshop? Would appreciate some information on my questions.

Love the video, and I had no idea Professor Layton was going for that much. But if you make a part two, you gotta highlight Ace Attorney Apollo Justice, Ace Attorney 5 , and Ace Attorney 6, as well as their DLC. They're digital only outside of Japan, and are amazing games.

Or you could just homebrew your 3ds/2ds xl which is stupid easy and not have to worry about the eshop closing. I'm sure the wii u is easy to homebrew as well. Not sure though never tried.
I hear its also easy to jailbreak the Wii U. Yeah, that is certainly an option specially given how Nintendo treats its own IPs and custumers... they are making the best case for emulation with this sort of thing. But I think its important to support the creators and owners of the IPs by buying their games, otherwise we would stop getting them. Picked up liberation maiden among the list. Loved it. Wish Suda51 & Grasshoper manufacture would go back to this world of new japan & make a TRUE spiritual sequel or successor. I know that a sequel does exist for liberation maiden but that one never got localized and on top of that it’s a completely different genre and studio behind the sequel, Suda wasn’t even involved with it either.

Does anyone of you know, if you'd still be able to use the money in your Switch eShop account on the 3DS and Wii U after August. Because the way I read it, this will also not be possible after the cut-off date. But I might be wrong here.
OK, I think I stand corrected, seemingly it is possible. From Nintendo's website: "Users who link their Nintendo Network ID wallet (used with Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS family of systems) with their Nintendo Account wallet (used with the Nintendo Switch family of systems) can use the shared balance to purchase content on any of these systems until late March 2023. After that, the balance can only be used to purchase content for the Nintendo Switch family of systems.“
Yeah, that's also what I heard, so that's why I didn't freak out. Through the Switch we can still add funds to our account (obviously) and since the account is the same for 3DS and Wii U we can use those funds on those systems until the stores close. I'll be sure to address this after making a thorough check for the next videos. Appreciate the extra detail!

Hi Fajar! Yes, it will all remain opperational after the eshop closes on March 27th 2023. They have not given a date for when the servers will be shut down alltogether, so its not on the foreseable future.
No difference between them, did a little research here and nothing came up. Just a heads up, just in case: If you have a North American 3DS, it won't run european 3DS games. You probably already know ths, but just in case.
I know, so many games I want to include, but have to limit at 25 per video otherwise would be going nuts. But rest assured I will include that one at some point, cause it is getting expensive for the physical. I dont have it though, so I will need to buy and play, which is why I didnt include yet. Please make as many of these as you can lol. When the Wii shop was announced to close and because of the PSN Store closure scare, I spent a good month or so compiling as many potential games that I would buy on them before they were gone. I bought as many as I could and while I couldn't buy them all, I at least gave it one last good effort. The same thing is happening again.

@@FromTheVoidGames Not that we should need to, but the Wii is one of the easier consoles to hack. Out of the ones I have, I rank the PSP the easiest, Wii second, PS Vita third and PS3 the most complicated to hack and maintain. The only hiccup I had for the Wii was picking an OS, but the rest is pretty light. I have no idea about the handhelds, though.

I heard that the ability to add points went away the day after it did. I don't get how it's possible that I heard so little about it then, while now I've heard about this in lots of places. 3DS and Wii U sales combined are less than Wii sales.

Finally...Liberation Maiden got the attention he deserve! This is one of the most obscure 3ds title and the most forgotten title of LEVEL5!

yup. theyre basically forcing our hands at pirating and emulating. once the eshop goes down and we lose all these digital exvlusive titles the only next thing is to either pay a ridiculous price for it or to emulate

Of all your content, these types of videos are my favorite. Too bad they are prompted by companies announcing store closures. The 3DS was my only console for a while so I was familiar with most of these and own about half but I love the passion you put into your videos, and calling out the prices is super helpful. You make me want to buy games I never considered or never even heard of. Keep it up man! Make as many of these as you can, there is so much good stuff to cover.
Yeah, I really like making these too. Thing is, when I do them without the store closure behind, the algorithm doesn't pick up because my audience is still small, so the videos end up kinda buried. I made one on PS3 and Vita recently very much in the same vein as this, full of hidden gems and lesser known games, but only a few hundred people watched it. I have a pretty expansive knowledge of the 3ds but even many of these passed me by! Mainly Sakura Samurai, Ninja Battle Heroes, and Nano Assault EX.
Definitely reccomended putting Gurumin a Monstrous Adventure 3D on your next video, and Gotta Protectors.
Yokai Watch games have also gotten super expensive save for digital. Mainly Blasters and YKW3.

I was not considering Gurumin because its not exclusive to the 3DS, being on PSP, Vita and Steam too, but reading your comment I saw that it had 3D in the title, so I may be able to include it under the pretext that its the only version that has 3D... I like the 3D so, to me its justifed, lol. And I love Gurumin, its fantastic. I'll consider it for sure.

I'm glad I bought dragon quest 7 and 8 on day one. definitely a series you do not want to sleep on if you think very expensive you should check out the physical versions of four five and six on the DS they're over $100
Yeah, it's awesome how they made remakes/remasters of every single Dragon Quest from 1 to 8, most on the DS/3DS, unfortunetly like you said, all expensive now for the physical versions, which will get more so once the eshops close.

Although not a 3DS fan nor collector, I am highly worried about practice of shutting down digital stores without offering us an alternative. Thank goodness for the Redump project. It seems it's up to us gamers to preserve video game history.
yes, its a total disregard for the games. Companies don't treat them with the due respect, games are art. Yeah, things like Internet Archive are so important, while Nintendo keeps fighting off emulation like its the devil. Its shameful.

Watching this list reminds me of how awkward it was to be left handed during the ds era and how I had to research the controls before buying any game. Most of the touch screen controlled games were made with holding the stylus in you right hand in mind and it made many games a lot less enjoyable. Bless the games that made left hand modes

You should absolutely cover the Silver Falls games! There are five on 3DS and two on Wii U, and they're all fantastic and unique games that will be gone soon! They're made entirely by one guy and massive labor-of-love games for the systems.
You added one of my 2 favorite 3DS games which was Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology which is definitely one to be on this list. My other fav which is more just my taste is Stella Glow which has some really good music in it and if you like anime fire emblem, it's pretty dang good.

I wouldn't feel confirtable covering a game I never played, cause I like to go into a little bit of detail. So, tell me one thing if you dont mind, why is psychic specters so much more expensive than fleshy souls? Cause I found a Fleshy Souls for cheap here and if the gameplay is simmilar I'll play that instead to capture.

To be honest, don't have a lot of background on 3DS, but I think I need one now!! Also been a late-comer to the Wii U console, but I have enjoyed playing various games in it's library lately. If there is enough interest from your subscribers, would love to know what games are worth purchasing digitally for the Wii U.

Ninja Battle Heroes totally looks like Muramasa The Demon Blade. Muramasa Rebirth on Vita is one of my favorite games of all time so definitely looking into Ninja Battle Heroes.
Another game I would recommend that you can get physically is Little Battlers eXperience.

I'd also like to add Terraria and the first Dementium to the list. Terraria is available in so many other devices but the 3DS version has its own exclusive contents due to no longer receiving updates and the firdt Dementium game was the only One of the 2 to receive an HD remaster on the 3DS. Fun fact, Dementium was the original pitch for Silent Hill on Nintendo so I find it to be of someehat historic value as well.
Liberation Maiden and Raidiant Historia PC are SUCH cool games. Anyone who hasn't played them has been missing out...and Nano Assault EX is one of the best shooters on the console. I LOVE playing it twin stick gray nipple style. Sakura Samurai is a great title I bought and played when it first came out. Such a shame that generations of gamers won't get to experience it (and Liberation Maiden) now thanks to the eshop closure. Unless, of course...🏴☠

I never bought "Rhythm Thief and the Emperor's Treasure"... All i did back then was download the demo.
And all of a sudden, after a few years of not playing on my 3ds, I have the full game on my 3ds and I still don't know how.
I don't have a 3DS yet, but I will probably watch the video about the Wii U! I've asked around on Discord servers, but the only thing I got from that is SNES Harvest Moon.

Yeah it's worth it. I mean I enjoy seeing people's take on games and games I might of missed. Not a fan of rythmn games but some people are. Glad you said Dillon trilogy. Everyone is mentioning Rolling, but not the other two. Awhile back I decided to not get Rolling two. It's supposedly more of the same as 1 but Dead Heat differs. So glad I started snatching up titles for my 3DS as soon as the switch came out. Prices skyrocketed when Nintendo admitted the 3DS was dead and now this.
Yep. I still have a few physical that I want to get as soon as possible, but they are expensive: Persona Q2 and Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright. Not sure if I will be able to find decent prices on those, might end up getting the digitals. Thanks for watching D Sims!

Demon King Box - nice little strategy game where I can't really tell if it's a tower defence thing or something similar. Anyway check it out if you got the time.

Rhythm Thief is so interesting and it’s a shame that it never developed into a full series outside of the cancelled iOS game. Definitely a rhythm game player must have. Same for Harmo Knight, thought the songs are less memorable the gameplay is extremely good.
12:35 - I was on my way of checking these games on the eshop on the 3DS. BUT, I can't find it and when I search on it in the search bar, it says can't find what you searched for (or similar words). How do I find these games on eshop? Would be very thankfull if someone could explain how to find it.
Also, do they not exist on the European eshop? Would appreciate some information on my questions.
So, I tried my best to find out if this is a region problem or what, but couldn't find anything. Unfortunatly I don't have an European account to test this out myself. If anyone does, let us know!

Liberation Maiden was my first 3DS eShop game and one of my favorite. Next I got Cave Story and I played it in one sitting.
Dude cave story is ridiculously good. I did the true ending in that game and it was the most amazing thing ever. Liberation Maiden is also a really interesting different game on the 3DS, I loved it. Thanks for watching, Harramun!

Love the video, and I had no idea Professor Layton was going for that much. But if you make a part two, you gotta highlight Ace Attorney Apollo Justice, Ace Attorney 5 , and Ace Attorney 6, as well as their DLC. They're digital only outside of Japan, and are amazing games.

Great list! One game I would recommend and never see mentioned is Rage of the Gladiator. Very reminiscent of Punch-Out but fantasy based.

I hear its also easy to jailbreak the Wii U. Yeah, that is certainly an option specially given how Nintendo treats its own IPs and custumers... they are making the best case for emulation with this sort of thing. But I think its important to support the creators and owners of the IPs by buying their games, otherwise we would stop getting them. Picked up liberation maiden among the list. Loved it. Wish Suda51 & Grasshoper manufacture would go back to this world of new japan & make a TRUE spiritual sequel or successor. I know that a sequel does exist for liberation maiden but that one never got localized and on top of that it’s a completely different genre and studio behind the sequel, Suda wasn’t even involved with it either.

Does anyone of you know, if you'd still be able to use the money in your Switch eShop account on the 3DS and Wii U after August. Because the way I read it, this will also not be possible after the cut-off date. But I might be wrong here.
OK, I think I stand corrected, seemingly it is possible. From Nintendo's website:
"Users who link their Nintendo Network ID wallet (used with Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS family of systems) with their Nintendo Account wallet (used with the Nintendo Switch family of systems) can use the shared balance to purchase content on any of these systems until late March 2023. After that, the balance can only be used to purchase content for the Nintendo Switch family of systems.“
Yeah, that's also what I heard, so that's why I didn't freak out. Through the Switch we can still add funds to our account (obviously) and since the account is the same for 3DS and Wii U we can use those funds on those systems until the stores close. I'll be sure to address this after making a thorough check for the next videos. Appreciate the extra detail!

Hi Fajar! Yes, it will all remain opperational after the eshop closes on March 27th 2023. They have not given a date for when the servers will be shut down alltogether, so its not on the foreseable future.

No difference between them, did a little research here and nothing came up. Just a heads up, just in case: If you have a North American 3DS, it won't run european 3DS games. You probably already know ths, but just in case.
