Danny, as far as the heat goes... just remind yourself that in 5 months it will be minus 30, the snow banks will be four feet high and you will be freezing you nutz to the porch again... those thoughts always work for me haha
I'm glad you folks make it down, I hope you have a trip to remember. Remember, you're always welcome here. Don't hang out with Uncle Tony too long, he will try to put a slant six in your car, he is obsessed with the leaning tower of power.
im having fun watching . to see from your the view of the car show going down the freeway through Mississippi River Illinois and single gulberg with you in the parking building and whatever you were at the racetrack
Dan and Danni! Love that you hung out with Uncle Tony. Wonder if you will run into Derek and family of ViceGrip Garage? my 2 personal favorite hotrodder Ytoob channels.
Great reference for the Mississippi River , read Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn books . Mark Twain was a river boat pilot , how he got his pen name , it is a river measurement because on that river you had to know where the sand bars were or run your boat aground !
Hi D & D folks, I live in the greater Kansas City area so welcome as you drove through the area. Have a fun time on the Power Tour and a safe trip back to your home. The car looks great. Back in the 60's I had a 57 Chevy tudor 210 and later a nice optioned 57 four door hardtop Belair.
BEAUTIFUL. Have fun you two!!! Watch that car. People are creeps!!!!! I'd sleep in it. Make sure you're cooling system good or it becomes a cooking system😜💚🤸
You're not alone on that heat deal Ms Dani, I could handle it better when I was younger but geez, now I'm an old man, I can't stay out in that stuff very long, well it's the humidity more than the heat, and besides I just had a heart attack back in March and had another stent put in but just having the heart problems the humidity makes it a lot tougher on me. Anyhow, so glad to see y'all making it down from Canada and going on the power tour! And there's a excessive heat warning out on the mid section of the states, or heartland actually.
I don't know why they do these events when it's so hot. That part of the country is absolutely beautiful in the fall, awesome colors and cooler weather.
At 1:23; you remarked about the "cheap" fuel prices versus Canada, but we (in the U.S.) complain, not realizing that fuel prices in England and Europe are about $10.00 usd a gallon so it could be worse here or in Canada. ;-) Have a fun time, keep hydrated.
I think it’s all relative. I have gas vehicles and it’s $4.99 everywhere here in Upstate NY and I have a Diesel and that is $5.99 - 6.49 a gallon. So relatively speaking: Gas is cheap!
I have cardboard boxes to use to assist sliding under the car--open the box and lie on it and you will slide under the car easier. Just a little trick to help you on your way. My ex-wives would HATE a trip like this, hence they are exes. Kudos to Dani for being cheery along the way.
I'm so glad you guys got to hang with your heroes Uncle Tony and David Newburn because now you know what can be done with a successful channel and you will have new inspiration to become even more prominent on TH-cam.
Glad you all made it. Guy was beginning to worry you ran out of time. You were the inspiration behind Slaghammer with your 4 dr to 2 dr chop shop videos. Hope you and Al get together!
Glad you made it to power Tour and a lot of your Southern friends may be able to see and enjoy your Meet and Greet with your United States Neighbors. Canada and the U,S. have always been the best of Neighbors, Stay healthy and Cool, Have a safe Tour.
Oh Crap! You guys went right past my house in St Louis, and I didn’t know!! If I would have known I would have went on the side of the highway with a big welcome sign. It would be such a great day to meet you guys. I watched as you went over the Mississippi River…I’m addicted to watching you Dan (and Danni too) I get so much enjoyment watching the adventures of Dan. Good luck on the power tour. Enjoy your time here in the States…Seems like a “working” vacation for Dan. What else would I expect. Thank You for sharing your videos and giving all of us this great content.
Welcome to the southern summer where even in the middle of the night it’s still humid and you’re sweating. Most of the states are divided by rivers due to shipping routes. Wish I had time off, you weren’t to far from me in Oklahoma. Would have been awesome to see the car and meet y’all.
Glad to see yinz on the tour and getting the red carpet treatment. We should catch you tomorrow. We left early today so we could hit the Barber museum.
Yay, you made it! Amazing what 2 solid weeks prep work while holding down a full time job can accomplish. Enjoy your adventure , drive safe and there’s a nice filet mignon with your name on it waiting for you when you get home.
Awww, Dani. If you think it’s hot in Tennessee, wait til you guys head south. You’ll get to experience “ air that you wear”. I think it’s hot rod’s cruel little joke to hold their event in the hottest part of the country at the hottest time of the year. We’ll be watching. Good luck guys.
Welcome to America! Those speedo adaptors usually leak on the inside where the gear seals. I am going to try to get a friend of mine in Atlanta come meet y'all.
Welcome to the states Dan and Queen D, I hope to make the power tour some day also, I enjoy watching your videos keep up the good work, by watching great videos like yours i'm hoping to grow my channel, have fun and most of all be safe, can't wait to see the rest of the tour,
Im loving this power tour series. You make me feel like im there! I love that yellow Nomad...soccer mom car...and we all love the occasional soccer mom!
Dan you got the A ticket ride. Driving your hot rod and spinning wrenches in a motel parking lot. Hot rod life. You and Danni stay safe and enjoy the cruise.
It's on my bucket list I have a old 66 gmc truck that I'm restoring I think it would be awesome to drive it across the country and do power tour then drive it all the way back out west to get home
Awesome guy's 😀👍🏻👍🏽 looking really hot over there at the moment, I got my Rav4 drive shaft sorted but will have to get it balanced, and have found another problem but not sure if it's a back wheel bearing, or a back universal drive axle ? Will find out later lol , but great you guys are doing a tour 😀👍🏻👍🏽
Love you guys! Awesome to see y’all travel through Tennessee I live on the east end and have been dealing with the heat this week at work. Thanks for the powertour coverage!

Danny, as far as the heat goes... just remind yourself that in 5 months it will be minus 30, the snow banks will be four feet high and you will be freezing you nutz to the porch again... those thoughts always work for me haha
I would rather sweat my nuts off than freeze them off. But here in Wisconsin I get to do both...sometimes in the same week 😛
Peg, solid advice. Besides that, this un-greased comment stunned me.
@@pikehunter23750 you don't have to worry about grease on youtube
Some solid advice there!
Also remember in two months it will be way hotter and grosser inside my 55 Chevy
Man plans...57 Chevy Laughs.
Have fun on the tour! Thanks for helping stimulate the economy! 🇺🇸 🇨🇦
I'm glad you folks make it down, I hope you have a trip to remember. Remember, you're always welcome here. Don't hang out with Uncle Tony too long, he will try to put a slant six in your car, he is obsessed with the leaning tower of power.
Dan, you know you have made it in life when your girlfriend wears a shirt with you on it. You are seriously blessed.
im having fun watching . to see from your the view of the car show going down the freeway through Mississippi River Illinois and single gulberg with you in the parking building and whatever you were at the racetrack
The greatest morale support a man could ever have, is a woman who keeps a great sense of humor and helps and supports you. What a team.
Love the "Hot Rod Jesus" shirt...got one in blue... wear it all the time... Have Fun!!!
Welcome to America hope you great trip
Dan, It was great meeting you and Dannie in Nashville at the Super Speedway. You both were very nice and easy to talk to. Take care.
Hate I missed you in Nashville. I was the one wanting to buy your shortened C10 but couldn't cross border during COVID. Good luck on Power Tour.
Dan and Danni! Love that you hung out with Uncle Tony. Wonder if you will run into Derek and family of ViceGrip Garage? my 2 personal favorite hotrodder Ytoob channels.
I saw your trunk bouncing open on portage.

Glad to see you getting recognition at the Power Tour. Well deserved! I enjoy your videos.
On the heat, wait till you get to pensacola.

You talking to an eight year old? Lol
I’m a couple hours South of y’all heat index 105 f

I don't know why they do these events when it's so hot. That part of the country is absolutely beautiful in the fall, awesome colors and cooler weather.
I couldn’t agree more! I can’t get this time of year off work but come Sept / October it’s wide open and much cooler.

Glad you made it there with no problems. Have fun!!!
Glad you all are in the states.
What an excellent adventure. Stay safe and get some chunks of plywood for your jack and jack stands. They really sink in that 140 F degree Asphalt.
