Hi Guys, i'm the Pilot of this Airwolf. It's a Vario Helicopter Kit, complete from Nose to Tail. Powered by Jakadofsky Turbine, Bavarian Demon 3X FBL, Optotronix Lights, Rocket Launcher also from Vario, 6mm with an Pyro Effekt Rocket. Weight is about 23KG with 4.5L Fuel, so you can reach Fligthtimes up to 20min.
Too bad you couldn't use the Airwolf theme music with the video (probably copyright issues), the helicopter sounds cool and nice touch with the rockets. Great flying as well, Stringfellow Hawke would be proud. Airwolf was one of the coolest shows on when I was a kid. Good job.
It's a beauty to behold, that's for sure! I miss the original Airwolf series and this brought back the nostalgia I have for that era. I would love to own one of these someday.
Dennis Engel Dennis, unless its rude to ask could you please tell me ballpark what it costs for a setup like this?? I would guess with radio controller ten, fifteen, maybe even twenty thousand?? Thank you.

surf403 it's roughly 7-8k without radio or supporting equipment. The kits aren't expensive the jakadosky are the most expensive component. 4-6k
OMG. Ok possibly the best RC pilot I've ever seen. Balls of steel wit a model worth 1000s. Bravo.

Good to see the level of care & attention behind the camera was equal to what was happening in front of the camera - whoever shot the video did justice to the hours upon hours of assembly, aerial ordinance testing, maintenance, etc. it took to make this flight possible - pretty sure Stringfellow Hawk and Dominique Santini would approve

I can hear the music and String say "give me turbos Dom" when I watch her fly. I love that show, especially when they enter the lair and just admire her. I used to stop the video tape and admire her too. She is a beautiful RC version. Excellent piloting skills. Thanks for the road down memory lane.

This had me drooling, always dreamt since i was a kid watching the show back in the 80's to own a awesome replica just like this. Great piloting indeed, superb craftsmanship as well. Wow, just wow.

That's the coolest model I have ever seen. The turbine, details, rocket fire... Awesome. And the sound is so cool and authentic. The pilot is very good, he flies the exact same patterns as the real one did in the serie
That is a beautiful airwolf. It looked a little real for a few there. Hell of a pilot. So smooth n steady. Gotta love the rockets as well. Thanks for the show and taking me back to my childhood and my favorite show

Top Modell und ganz wichtig: Tpp Pilot. Du lässt das Modell in der Luft wie eine große Bell wirken. Keine hektischen Manöver, flüssiger weicher Flug. Sehr gute Kontrolle. Meinen höchsten Respekt.
Das lauern vor einen Angriff.......perfekt. Danach noch eine Salve Raketen hätte es noch weiter gesteigert.

That's a heck of an impressive model. It even has the nav lights on the pylons! Whoever made this is a major fan of the show, and good for them; it was an awesome show with an equally awesome aircraft at its heart, and this model looks good enough to be one of those used in the show itself!
Almost made my fixed-wing flight instructor father turn into a rotary-wing pilot. ;-) I think he would have just killed to see this live.
It's a 30 year old tv show helicopter but it still looks so cool. Everything else from that time period looks so dated but the airwolf helicopter still looks awesome.
That's because the Bell 222/230 has a timeless design. Truly beautiful lady.

As said above the Bell 222/230 is a beautiful design for an executive heli even by today's standards. That was part of the point of Airwolf, after all, a "wolf in sheep's clothing", a CIA blackops helicopter gunship disguised to look like an ordinary executive transport.
To add to the above, the Bell 222 was a good looking helicopter and Andrew Probert is a frikken genius. He was also responsible for most of the USS Enterprise from 'Star Trek The Motion Picture' and the Enterprise D.
The actual airwolf what make of helecopter was it and does it still exist or was it all stripped off and returned to normal flying

Watching the show you'd definitely know its from the 80s but still, that chopper has one of the coolest designs. That was one of my favorite shows when I was younger. That song was so awesome(totally 80s synth)...I'd recognize it in a room full of radios all playing different songs at the same volume.

Marc Draco yeah... and as I watched Airwolf on Netflix, I could see where the producers started to film him in scenes where he was super drunk. As they would put him in a scene where he was sitting and leaning on something. His eyes always had that "closed" look anyways.

Man this RC sounds almost like a Real Helicopter plus this things shoots projectiles and the pilot is flying this thing extremely well. I want one.
