  • The Noodle Rig, as created by Scott Lloyd, is one of the best hookers of carp out there. It is a must have in any angler's rig board, and it is incredibly easy to tie once you know how. Watch, as Scott runs you through not only how to tie the rig, but also talks about the mechanics of it and how all the pieces work together.

    you may have caught a tonne of massive fish on this rig but we all know you catch them because you are just a carp catching machine, so much determination and commitment

    What shrink tubing do you use ? I’ve tried a couple of different brands now and find the tubing doesn’t hold the shape well with being very flexible still after being shrunk.

    The only thing I don't understand is you say you dont use a quick change swivel because you want to put a fresh rig on every fish. Is that not the point of the quick change swivel?
    In your opinion are conventional swivels only good for the capture of one fish?

      Yeah he's had one too many pot noodles on that one.....he's allowed that one... I use my noodle rigs with an anti tangle tungsten sleeve and a qc swivel no problemo!

      Around 25-30mm depending how much you go down the shank of the hook

    Just one thing , great rig by the way, why not use a quick change set up if your using a new rig each cast, why not just resharpen the hook

    • @hydroaero61
      @hydroaero61 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      generally sharpened hooks go rusty very quickly even if you are using a pen or something to stop it

    • @chrishoward9936
      @chrishoward9936 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If they tell people they swap rigs every time then people will follow meaning they make more money. I don’t know anyone who changes the rig every re cast, I can understand after a capture but a recast ? Just a complete waste, just sharpen the hook.

    • @carpcatcher8881
      @carpcatcher8881 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jag do some pens now that re coat a sharpened hook

    The what rig? Strewth, look just use a stiff hinge rig, all this rig does is achieve exactly the same effect, giving tbe same all important stiff shank extension as a hinge.

    • @thelukos
      @thelukos 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You sure?
      Hinged stiff rig sits with the chod section upright, fishing a pop up.
      This lies with the hook flat or clawed with a balanced bait.
      Hinged stiff is for weed or silt. This rig is for clear spots.
      Apart from that, just like it 😂

  • @lordamercy5609
    @lordamercy5609 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    why not just use a long shank hook?
