While I miss Pac-Man yelling in the original (due to how funny it was) this perfectly captures the first game. Simple and clean cheesy 90s era shenanigans. Let's be glad they even remade the cutscenes to begin with!
No matter which opening cutscene it is, Professor PAC always gets the best abduction.

I prefer the original version of the opening it is much better

Remain patient it won't be long until BANDAI NAMCO launches PAC-MAN WORLD Re-PAC comes out on August 26 this month and since the original game came out in 1999 on Playstation.
I can't wait till this game comes out on Nintendo Switch.

I'll just kinda accept that this is a NEW Pac-Man Canon.
New House, Pac-Mom, Pac-Boy, Pac-Sis, No Spaceship Adbduction for Professor Pac.
Whilst this dosen't really connect to any previous games besides the Museum+ Ones, I think there's still alot of good here, and alot of goodthat can be done.

I am having a blast with this game thanks again. I do miss Ms Pac-Man I hope one day she'll be able to return to where she belongs and I do wish the game had cgi cutscenes like the original game with actual voice acting those are just minor nit pics I have otherwise it's a great remake. Thanks again Happy 30th anniversary Happy Birthday Pac-Man. I hope to see more Pac-Man World games remade or a new Pac-Man World game or both.
I’m getting this game for Christmas for the Switch. I can’t wait to play it.
This is good, but it's missing some polish the original had. This isn't nostalgia talking either, for example, the emotion the original invoked. This is most apparent in the reactions the charcaters have, most notably Pac-Man.
I also noticed they changed the story to show the ghosts capturing Pac-Man's family. In the original, they were kidnapped by the game's main bosses which, in my opinion, gave those characters more personality and more importantly, to give them a reason to even be bosses in the first place. For example, Professor Pac is abducted by King Galaxian, Chomp-Chomp is pulled underground by the mummy from Anubis Rex, Baby Pac and Pooka are taken by HMS Windbag, And Ms. Pac-Man (Now Pac-Mom) is kidnapped by the ghosts. This makes sense in future cutscenes since we see the ghosts reveal to Toc-Man that they captured the wrong person. The fact that the ghosts did everything (admittedly some in less creative ways in my opinion) makes the main bosses feel out of place. Like why are they there now? I hope the rest of the new cutscenes expand the story and keep continuity with each other. That said, I do dig the new score that was arranged for this. It keeps faithful to the original while matching the new action on screen.

This fact doesn't bold well for Pac-Man World 3 remake if were to happen. I'd be disappointed if there was no voice at all and instead uses gibberish alongside subtitles.

I'm hella disappointed there isn't real voice acting like the original. other than that, I doubt it'll detract from the gameplay.
It's a great cutscene though it won't be the same without the old cast or hints of the bosses.

That ended up paying off cause that alt costume for the chrome ball is just normal DLC now, I considered getting that bundle but the price was just NOT worth it, not that I didn’t want to give them money, however. I will give them ANY price to prove how much I want more games like this and the Klonoa remakes.

music is 90% the same, but everything else feels cheap and lazy (watch the original PS1 opening if you don't get what I'm talking about)

I'm not saying this remake sucks, far from it. I think the game looks amazing, but the cutscenes look like they're gonna be inferior.
