With the good ending being added, I think the friendship between Pac-Man and Orson in _Pac Man World 3_ makes a lot of sense.
Hopefully this new ending leads to a remake of 2 and 3... please 🙏
@@Kswitchem I think 2 holds up just fine, but 3 could really use a remake, it's so clearly unfinished compared to the first two because of its...weird development. I'd love to see it at its full potential

Fun fact: In the original Pac-Man World, instead of saying "Why does nobody ever root for ghosts?" Orson mournfully says "Nobody loves a ghost!" Apparently, in the script Pac-Man was supposed to reply "I love you, Orson" before chomping him, but he was ultimately left silent since Namco of Japan couldn't come to an agreement for who should voice Pac-Man. This makes more sense with the context that Orson and Pac-Man are actually childhood friends, as confirmed by Pac-Man World designer Scott Rogers.

Makes you wonder if both the developers and publisher knew that their audience was pissed that the bad ending was the only one from the original game.
With how the good ending turned out, it makes me wonder if Pac-Man World Re-Pac 2 or Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac can still happen. At least, Sue, Funky, and Spunky can be used. Does anyone know the ghost named Tim from Pac-Man Jr.? I wonder if he can also be used. They did not show up at Pac-Man's party, so they might still be villians.

This game as a whole makes me want to see the Pac-Man World Series get revived. They could go so far with today’s game mechanics!
The Re-Pac version is already made. I was not happy with the triangle button being the rev roll button, because it messes me up since I forget it got changed. I'm used to the square button being the rev roll. There is a controller setting where I can change that, so I set square button as the rev roll since I was used to that.

@@ClassicGamer9044 I complained about it before I found out about the controller settings thing. Now, I'm happy that I can change the buttons for each thing, and I stuck with the jump button being X and the pellet shot button being R2, and changed the Rev Roll button to square.

The first ending of this version is hands down a lot better then the original version of world

I think both cutscene display how much people taste has change. Back in the day people just wanted to see the bad guy lose.
Now a days people want the bad guy to change and the main protagonist to forgive them.
Either that or cutscenes were just too tedious and expensive to make back in the day.
the ghost at the end is a good guy in the 3rd game, so it makes sense that they would make an ending that explains why.
There's also the fact the OG Pac-Man World team (Namco Hometek) apparently didn't have much time before the release of the original, in other words they were crunched (according to them, the reason why Anubis Rex was near-kaizo levels of unfair was because they didn't playtest it enough in time)

@@geekdaparaiba well, redeeming NO SPOILER was the ending from the original, they didn't change anything except for adding a completely new (but generic) boss fight in the end.
The endings explained:
The 2 endings are triggered by how many friends and family members pac man saves . Though the outcome of the endings really depends on pac man’s sense of empathy and understanding as even in the original bad ending he still saves his family anyways.
Bad ending:
Without remorse and trying to understand Orson’s pain Pac man decides to devour him with a power pellet.
Good (Canon)ending:
Pac man feels empathy towards Orson and tries to understand how he feels and his problems. In the end Orson, Pac man, and the other ghosts settle their differences and decide to celebrate Pac man’s birthday with everyone included.
What “pain” do ghosts even feel. I liked when Pac ate Orson because it’s faithful and funny
@@BlizzyP039 Orson had no friends. He felt compeltely alone, that's the reason he tried to copy Pac-Man, since he was the one everyone liked.

I know that some people like the new ending because it's cute and stuff, but that ghost kinda caused a big mess.
I like the original ending because it had a similar vibe to a kid being grounded, and is not like it was a big deal anyway, since ghosts regenerate rather quickly.
Then again, you have to remember, they were gonna explain that Orson was Pac-Man's old friend, but they didn't want to go through with Pac-Man talking. Also, the new 100% completion ending was to remedy the continuity issue between Pac-Man World 1 and 3, as the latter had Pac-Man team up with Orson, who he considered his buddy.

I wonder if the ghosts will be changed, because Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde turned good, but Sue, Funky, Spunky, and Tim did not show up, so they might still be villians.
@@bennel3588Bandai Namco seems to have no problem using them as they appeared in Pac-Man 256 unlike Pac Jr. and Mrs. Pac-Man.

@@watergirl929 I think that would have been funny to put in the game. This Toc-Man thing is a robot. I wonder if it cam survive icing. If it messes up or blows up, it might give away that a ghost was inside it. I think it should be a robot that survives the icing, and the ghost who worked hard on making the cake should be like what you said about what you would do if he was picky about it. Maybe, it could be an outtake where he does that, and then the robot explodes, because we already know a ghost is inside it after beating the game. I was dissappointed the outtakes were not in the re-pac version, because they were in the original version. Alot of stuff got changed in the re-pac version.
i like how they still implemented the original ending in the game when you don't rescue all of your family members, while still making a new ending that the original pacman world should've gotten, which is him forgiving orson.

Hope you enjoy it! I only played the GBA version of the original when I was a kid (I was a huge fan of the GBA and always chose to get the handheld version when it came to multiplatform releases 😅), so it was nice to get the chance to play the "stronger" version with this remake 😀

I think the new good ending ties into Pac-Man World 3. It makes sense because Toc-Man (Who's real name is revealed to be Orson) is an ally in that game and Pac-Man and him frequently have friendly banter with one another throughout the game as he helps Pac-Man to stop the main enemy of that game. So Pac-Man shaking Orson's hand was not just a sign of forgiveness but friendship. In the end all Orson wanted was to be seen as a hero like Pac and to be loved. And in the end he got a friend. That's really all he ever needed. And he would eventually achieve his dream of being a hero in helping save existence in the third game.
honestly the substance is the same about the endings but the good one fits me, I admit that the bad one is funny

@@zanok7796 You get the "Bad Ending" if at least one of Pac-Man's family members were not saved. You get the "Good Ending" if you save all of them.

I like the bad ending better, I can't believe I went through the trouble of saving everyone myself.
It's even a better ending considering the idea of the context being that the ghosts went to the party on Ghost Island because Pac Man was there and they also wanted to participate in Pac-Man's birthday showing that he is a celebrity there even though he eats ghosts They even get sad when they discover that there wasn't a real Pac Man at the party, and at the end when Pac Man, the real Pac Man, arrives at the party, the first thing he does is eat a poor ghost, who just wanted to be loved because after all no one loves a ghost and what pac Man does in response, he devours him in front of everyone, showing that pac Man has no compassion for ghosts in front of all the ghosts who wanted to see him and who liked him, in the end we still see that pac Man went to a birthday party at their house and there were no ghosts there who were at the party and wanted to go to the birthday, they were probably scared of Pac Man and didn't want to go

In fact, I like the brand spankin’ new designs that they game to some of the characters as well, especially Toc-Man!

So it was the same characters from the Pac-Man 80s TV series in the original Pac-Man World. Why was Pinky's gender changed? So when Pac-Baby got older, he became Pac-Jr., and then they had a daughter, and then named her Pac-Baby. What if she gets older? Who does she become?
People are just accepting this because of not really Pac-Man games in these years.
This game dose have some great improvement to the original but there are some that they should have keep like voices not mumbles, what pac man family look and named, and keeping ms pac man and not replaceing her with someone else

Like usual, the hero on his way to defeat the villain, kills a bunch of mooks, many of them maybe weren't even evil, just doing a job, but when it's time to face the villain, he spares the villain or even forgives him.
The original ending should have stayed as the good ending.

Even if at the end of the day, the bad ending is the same but we can't see the part where Pac-Man forgives Orson because they are friends in 3 anyway, so he probably he would still asked to be forgiven, but secretly...

It depends on how you look at the “Pac eats Orson” ending sometimes. Still, can’t complain they added another friendlier ending to the mix!

So looking back at it, probably the good ending is canon and the old/bad ending just never happened

i think this is just fine. nothing higher or lower than that. just a generic Pac-Man game but nothing worthy of thought was there. I mean, there is only one thing I can say, which is missed potential. the fact they made the thing where they didn't really talk and instead made pretty much the ghost do it but with text with some gibberish, unlike the original where they did do the goofy talking and stuff. Even Pac-Man had did some grunts and so as others too. Ms. Pac-Man even had a line in there as well, but in the remake it was the usual for the replacement cuz stupid at games is doing a no no and nandai bamco dint really liked that too much and i would like Ms. Pac-Man to be back too tbh. The replacement didn't really have much as a good design as her and it could of been better but they didn't do more than just the flat and basics. I think it was cool that they kept the original where Pac-Man eats Orson and forgiving him in the remake, which wasn't present in the original, but the fact they didn't add a bit more of something to make it worth while really is a missed opportunity. Same happened with Sonic Forces as an example. Eggman conquered like 99% of the world and they didn't try enough with the serious plot really felt like there wasn't a point to do one. It could of worked. Just the time and stuff didn't really create an effective result to it, and I think that is an issue to both the Pac-Man and Klonoa Remakes they did in a way. And then in the end the characters do their poses that can look like it can be reused for a victory pose if they were playable or something. It just feels kinda mediocre and stock heavy representing a corporate feel in a way. Sure, it is good having the Pac-Man World series having some representation, and I would want more for like doing a Pac-Man World 2 remake and even continuing the Pac-Man World series with another entry, but idk, I feel there wasn't enough to make the game more or as impactful as like the original. Still I wish there was a blooper cutscene though, that was one of the iconic things from the original and they just forgot about that. :/ oh well.
This game is pretty much just like the bare minimum just like the advertisements for this and the klonoa game. just nothing and nothing more. :|

How disappointing I like the original version of these cut scenes original versions have full-fledged voice acting and I love cut scenes with a full-fledged voice acting but this this is just garbage
really not a fan of the gibberish to be honest, it's a little annoying and doesn't really fit? they should've just got voice actors. kinda prefer the old cutscenes too, there was something just so unbelievably charming about the animation and these just feel? a little bland? and no outtakes
nothing is going to top such a sad, tearful orson saying "nobody loves a ghost :[" only to get eaten by pacman with the biggest grin on his face. it's almost as funny as the og intro when he's just screaming his heart out over his family vanishing.
