Outstanding video, definitely can’t wait to see more from you! One recommendation i have is about your respirator, definitely gotta make sure those filters are on.
I enjoyed this video!! It looks great for your first time! I took a class early this year on painting so I can do lowrider style paint and I'm tryna push myself to do more but still learning about paints / reducers and the ratios but this made me so much more confident! Keep up the great work👏🏽
Viscosity, use a stopwatch and measuring cup to get accurate reading instead of guessing, too thick blobby, too thin runs and mapping(repairs show through) consider a barrier coat if old tech paint on car.
Learning is the name of the game. It's great that you are happy with the result. Cutting and buffing would improve the appearance by at least 30-40%! It's almost a requirement if you don't have alot of experience.
@@TeamRocketGarage When you're using music in timelapses, etc. Try to make it at the same level as your voice in other clips. This will probably help because it wont be as obnoxious :)
It is not an air flow valve, it's an air pressure valve, so by having the regulator on gun you have 2 pressure regulators, the one at the gun should be completely open for the number on the gauge regulator to do anything accurate. As for the primer, you would still have had problems even if you had the pressure valve on the gun wide open because the purple gun is a 1.4 tip and most primers require at least a 1.7 tip to actually lay on enough material to work as a good primer, you can over reduce primers to shoot them from 1.3-1.4 but doing this turn it from a primer surfacer for sanding, into a sealer primer that is not meant to be sanded
@@BryanMiranda96 this is amazing information!! I’m planning to get a black widow for my next project, but I might buy another purple one with a 1.7 tip for primer only… would that be a good idea?
@TeamRocketGarage yeah it's a great idea, the black widow with rear fan control is the better off the two versions and the one you want for base and clear coat is the HTE
After your high build primer , you forgot Sealer primer so the paint has something to stick to. Step one I build primer Step 2 sand 600 grit. Step 3 primer sealer. Step four base coat color. Step 5 glamour clear. Step 6 wet sand clear coat Orange peal with 1000 grit, 1500, 2000 grit. Step 7 polish
You can use microfibers. In fact a lot of people use them. Better than traditional paper towels and shop rags as the microfibers cloths don’t leave behind lint.
This is inspiration for anyone who is thinking of taking this plunge - those small mistakes are trail and error .

It seems you are a professional painter with many years of experience and also I can see you working like old school experience people

Just the video I was looking for. Gonna attempt this in the near future.
Thanks for making the video and showed the steps. Music is fine.👍

320 to ruff for top coat should've went with 600 for future reference. But awesome effort and work buddy.
awesome wait like 2 or 3 weeks for cure and wet sand
Your music is to loud and obnoxious. But good job.
@@inekejansen212 thank you for the feedback!! Would it be better with no music? Or just over the time lapse stuff?
@@TeamRocketGarage You can have music over the normal clips too, but its way to loud right now
@@MoraTilRobin I’ll change that. Thanks!!! Doing what I can to get better!

@ I’ll do that! I’m working on it and I appreciate your grace!
Great job bro
Thank you so much 😀
Goodjob it looks good
Should have sealed the hood before painting it. You want a solid color on the panel before basecoat.
Just need to wet sand, buff and polish and it should get rid of that wavy texture

Maybe didn't have the right tip to spray the primer. Because how did it spray the paint ok?
DONT USE 320 on base coat! Use like 1000 grit and higher!

Musics terrible is it really needed mute is a great thing
Would you prefer different music or just none?

I use microfiber on every car I paint .....who told you not to use microfiber? You want to use something that doesn't leave lint
