📌Chocolate Peppermint Kiss Cookie Recipe:
-1 (15.25oz) Box of Chocolate Cake Mix
-1 stick of Melted Butter
-2 eggs
***Bake at 350 for 10 minutes, cool for 3-5 minutes, then top with Hershey Kiss.
📌Gingerbread Cut-Out Cookie Recipe:
-1 (14.25oz) Gingerbread Cake & Cookie Mix
-2 Tbsp Cornstarch
-1/4 Cup All-Purpose Flour
-6 Tbsp. Melted Butter
-1 Egg
***Mix all ingredients until well combined. Spread dough, in between 2 large pieces of parchment paper, and chill at least 2 hours. Cut out shapes, place onto baking sheet, and place in the freezer for 1 to 2 hours. After 1 to 2 hours, remove the baking sheet from freezer, and place directly into a preheated 350 degree oven for 8-10 minutes, until the center is set and no longer shiny. Let cool completely and decorate as desired. Enjoy!
📌Red Velvet Gooey Butter Cookie Recipe:
-1 (15.25oz) box of Red Velvet Cake Mix
-1 stick of Butter, melted
-1 (8oz) block of Cream Cheese
-2 eggs
-Powdered Sugar for rolling cookie dough in
***Bake at 350 for 10-12 min.

Just to try it out, I mixed a half box of Duncan Hines orange cake with one-third cup oil, one egg, and some cream cheese flavored chips and baked them into cookies. It made 16 and they're tasty.
Valerie I just ran across your channel and I love it. I immediately subscribed. I use to stay in my kitchen hours making cookies from scratch. Several years ago I discovered the joy and ease of cake mix cookies. One my family enjoys is with a spice cake mix. It’s just so easy. Mix the mix with 1/2 cup oil and two eggs. Then stir in raisins and walnuts or pecans. Bake 8-10 minutes. Another one is with German chocolate cake mix. Just add oil and eggs. Chill then form into balls and wrap it around a roll. Dip the top in chopped pecans and bake at 350 for 8-10 mins. Will definitely be trying your recipes real soon. Thanks so much.
I don't think this video was too long. I enjoy seeing the extra steps you take decorating or adding additional variations.
One tip for the gingerbread cookies (or any rolled out cookies) is to dip your cookie cutter in flour to help the cookie release from the cutter and not stick or break apart.
Question: approximately how many cookies do you get out of a cake mix?? I realize it can vary based on the size of your cookie scoop or spoon, but I would guess about 2 dozen but if you can confirm, I would appreciate it.

Valerie, I have a recipe similar to your Chocolate Peppermint Kiss & what I do is put the kisses in the freezer several hours before I’m going to make my cookies. Then while the cookies are baking I take only the number of kisses out that matches the amount of cookies being baked . While the cookies are baking,
I remove the wrappers (It’s been a while since I’ve made them) but I believe I let them cool for a few minutes. 3-5 minutes & then I put the kisses in & since they’re frozen, they should hold their shape well. I hope this helps you out.

Those little peppermint kiss cookies look great to me. I always add the kisses in Pnut butter blossoms right out of the oven. The little Gingerbread cookies, so cute. I l8ve Red Velvet anything. I really love Red Velvet with the old time Ermine Buttercream. I really appreciate Thumbprint cookies. Lemon with Blueberry would be good. Really like Monster cookies, and have never heard of using cake mix. The German Chocolate cookies sound delicious. I like the longer videos as long as they are kept on-subject. I made the Duncan Strawberry (Cake) Cookies recently and oh what flavor they had without any added flavor but second time I made them, I did add extra vanilla. Thanks for all the great ideas. So glad I watched your cookie video. I saw a recipe for cake mix thumbprint cookies earlier today so I bought the one on sale-Betty Crocker. Since it's 13.25 do you think cutting back a smidge on other ingredients will balance out the recipe?
I love to decorate cookies too, but I think royal icing tastes terrible. I use a frosting recipe with white corn syrup in it--tastes really good
I failed so miserably at the thumbprint cookies. I don't think I chilled them long enough and they spread out with the plum jam. They ended up looking like bloodshot eyes.😂 We just called them Christmas mom cookies.😂😂.
