Everything looked really good. I happen to have 2 peach trees and a plum tree that are really loaded with fruit right now, but they will be small as it's their first year producing any fruit. I am going to make that peach cake with some of my peaches. Home grown is always the best! I make a Lemon Icebox Pie aka "Sin Pie" in our house for Easter. It's super easy too. Just mix frozen lemonade concentrate with a can of sweetened condensed milk and a carton of cool whip. Add food coloring if you want and put into a graham cracker crust. Chill for an hour and it's time to eat!

Howdy from The Wild n' Wonderful Hills of West Virginia!! Here is a tip. if usung a glass dish ...turn oven temp down about 25 degrees and bake slower. You shldnt have edges getting done and the texture of the cake will be better. I am going to try all of them. I will have to check out the previous 3 cake video. Thank you for sharing.💜

I made your cake today and you’re right it smells fantastic and I know it’s gonna turn out just like yours, but I couldn’t believe that I found this recipe the way I found it was years ago with my fiancé at a street festival. She had big muffins and she was selling them for two dollars apiece. I told her I would pay her whatever she wanted for the recipe, she would not give it to me, so I am very determined. Person never forgot the recipe. I did go back the next day and buy two dozen from her and kept them in the freezer. They do freeze very nicely frosting on them thank you thank you thank you. You are fabulous. I’m 80 years old now and I just found this recipe and I was in my mid 30s when I first ran across it.

You are so right! Butter instead oil❤ Oh, that strawberry cake is heaven ❤but I’d prefer a fluffier icing. It deserves a crown of icing not a sheet. Anything with pecans is a winner. You have great sized cakes. Just right for family events I’d add cream cheese in the icing to the honeybun cake and mix it at high speed. Macadamia nut, cream cheese- this is calling my name. We had a cold front come thur last night in Indiana. It went from 80s and 70s to high 50s. Perfect time to turn on the oven and bake a cake. In the heat of the summer I like to make a no bake cream pie my Aunt use to make, she was a great cook. One Graham cracker pie crust, 8 oz cool whip, your flavored yogurt, I like to use 2, and then matching fresh fruit to go on top. I made this for a pot luck at work and got lots of complaints even from the men. You can use pineapple yogurt and cubed canned pineapple on top or strawberry yogurt and halved strawberry on top. Not very sweet for the people watching their sugar. Enjoy your videos the few I have made have been good, and the strawberry trifle I made for Easter went over like gang busters, especially with the men folk. Keep them coming ❤
PLEASE EVERYONE. . . If you are making an old recipe of a cake mix combo recipe (I.e.-I used to make bar cookies with a cake mix). Please be aware that Betty Crocker cake mixes (originally 18.25 oz) are now 13.25 oz. Most of the other brand names box mixes are now15.25 oz.. so make sure if you are using old recipes-they will need extra cake mix to top off to the correct amt of oz. Val has specified oz on her recipes.

Love these recipes. I replace the oil in cake mix recipes with melted unsalted butter, 4 eggs, and whole milk for water. That Lemon Cake would be so good for Easter.
Hi Valerie! Love your cake box recipes. My grandmother use to make a chocolate cake with coffee. The frosting was with Confectionery sugar with a little coffee also. Could you please make that. Thanks Judy from Florida.
All of your cakes look yummy, especially the chocolate cake!! I use expresso powder to add in for chocolate cakes. I also use emulsions for flavoring and can be purchased from LorAnn oils and emulsions, Lansing, Michigan. The emulsions do not bake out as they are not made with alcohol. I made a coconut cake for Christmas and used the coconut emulsion for flavoring which made a much more flavorful cake. Love your box cake recipes.

I also like that you use a spatula to get all the mix from the bowl ( many don't and they waste a lot of batter). Good hint to use both shortening & spray Pam to prevent sticking to the Bundt pan.
I'm new to your videos and I have to tell you that you do all those little things that other wonderful cooks do. However you complete all your steps with something that makes me feel so satisfied, as though I was baking. You bake everything as though it was art. You scrape out every bowl, every cup, spread the cakes mix with such care, sprinkle things that need sprinkling with purpose and I'm sure I have forgotten to mention other things. You make my heart smile.

I have made the honey bun cake, and it is delicious. The most delicious cake I've made is the Red Bird Cake. I made it for Christmas for the first time, and it was such a family favorite I've made it for 2 family birthdays. I made a lemon velvet cake with cream cheese icing. It was delicious as well.

I have the Butterfinger one in the oven right now. I messed up on it, right off the bat 🤦🏼♀️😄🤷🏼♀️ I put the ground up Butterfinger bars in the crust, instead of the filling. So, I used 1/2 of the remaining 6 bars in the filling, and saved 1/2 for the top.

I have the Butterfinger one in the oven right now. I messed up on it, right off the bat 🤦🏼♀️😄🤷🏼♀️ I put the ground up Butterfinger bars in the crust, instead of the filling. So, I used 1/2 of the remaining 6 bars in the filling, and saved 1/2 for the top.
I've tried almost all the cake mixes and Duncan Hines is the best to me
