I gotta say though, people can hate this movie as much as they want but the thing is we're talking about BVS after 4 years and lots of people will have a discussion about it long after.
Except it ain't positive thats the problem it is only talked about as a joke. Some things are best left to be enjoyed and don't need to be talked about like the ending to The Clone Wars and Endgame. But a movie that drops the ball in ever conceivable way like this is just embarressing just like The Last Jedi or Halo 5. Especially when everyone believed this would be better than Civil War before the movies came out.

Zack was trying to do something different than just good vs evil plot (except maybe that Doomsday CGI fight scene) and they hate him for it. Same people who hate Martha scene admire Civil War where Tony snaps in that scene because of his parents.

I started reading Batman comics in 1971 at 6 years - was my main motivation to learn reading :D and Ben just looks and acts like the Batman/Bruce Wayne I got to love early in my life!! I am sure the Snyder Cut will do great and hopefully we get that Batman Show with Ben after and another JL movie from Zack with Ben as well to at least complete the whole story arc!
It is so nice to see people coming back to their senses and realizing that this movie was the actual cinematic masterpiece. Every damn frame, every damn scene has some symbolic essence to it and the way it touches down the existential themes is just outstanding! This was never supposed to be a crowd pleaser, it's a mature cinema, a true piece of art.
Maybe you are right but because wb forced him to cut 30 plus minutes from the theatrical cut that would have made the plot more cohesive and less confusing.
This movie made nearly $900 million at the Box office. That's very successful, despite the negative reactions. Anything more comes across as just greedy.
I rewatch this movie almost every month and not a single part of every scene that Zack Snyder shows dissapoints me... I seriously can't wait for the Snyder Cut
@@bhughessr20 yeah yeah.. he thought he was an alien who can end humanity if he wanted to, he didn't think that this alien has a heart or any care for humans, as he witnessed during sups fight with zod. His fear was clear (by many many visions that he had) but then when he realized that this alien has a human mother and in the dying moment he asked the person who was killing him to save her. Batman realizes he might be wrong about him. He has become like the killer in the alley that killed his mother. I understood all that. But it all felt forced because first of..superman had so many chances of clearing that Lex has his mom and they need to save them. It's lex who is behind all this..all the problems would have been solved.. but no.. superman decided to be like "Bruce..listen Bruce..you don't understand bruce..listen..i am gonna say something important bruce" And secondly..batman was the one who said "if there is even a 1% chance that he is our enemy, we have to take it as an absolute certainty" Yes this alien loves his mom but how that convinces him COMPLETELY that he is not evil at all. They needed to flesh that out a little more. They needed to make this more convincing after all that setup.
TBH people come with MASSIVE double standards like sometimes they say RT should never be trusted then they use them when it fits their situation........ so I've come into a conclusion that people who truly think IMDB and RT are reliable and 100% right are just media's/ratings bitches.

Eric Alex Cantero Batman didn’t even do any deceive work on Superman and know what his name is, he just went blindly one on one thinking he can kill an angry Superman. Speaking of IMAX, the production team shot some scenes in IMAX cameras, including the opening, the Knightmare sequence, this Ultimate Fight. But in post-production, I think they had to crop the aspect ratio. Trust me, I also want the IMAX version of this movie. But as you know, there are many sequences, for instance the warehouse fight scene. The fight scene is very intense, fast and the camera crew obviously had to use some lighter cameras.

The reason "You're not brave, men are brave" sticks out to me so much? Because Bruce is so painfully, horrifyingly wrong. Clark IS brave. He took on Zod's invasion, knowing he could die, and saved the whole planet for it. But Bruce is so far gone at this point he can't see a man who saved the world and risked his life doing it. He just sees a monster. But HE is the monster. JL is his redemption story, and I'm glad we'll be able to see it next year.
well, i wouldnt say bruce is wrong. to me, he is more like misguided. he thinks that superman's bravery is "false". it is very easy for superman to be brave bcos he is invincible. human bravery is more genuine bcos despite their weaknesses n vulnerabilities, they can overcome their fear. bruce see clark as nothing more than an alien, devoid of humanity, n a ticking time bomb.
I also see that line as Bruce justifying the murder of Superman. He doesn't see Superman as an actual man and so he's fine with taking this "innocent" life.
@@amazo88 Superman's bravery is invalid though because superman doesn't go into anything with the mindset of playing smart or being safe because he doesn't have to. Batman walked up in the face of an immortal god with utter defiance and lack of fear. The 2 kinds of bravery aren't even comparable, it's not even close. Batman could have gotten his shit pushed in the moment he opened his mouth. Even if you watch superman before he has to kill zod he has more fear in those few seconds than Batman had for his entire fight with superman.
Never forget that Emmerich and Hamada did not allow the full cut, 30 minutes that were not seen in the cinema, 30 minutes that explain many scenes in a better way. Even this scene was cut.

Most underrated superhero fight scene in the comic book movie. Everything is flawlessly executed & planned by Batman. Can't wait for Snyder Cut of Justice League for the continuation of the story.

@@angelcross6050 1. Where did Superman Bully Batman? Like we saw in Man of Steel, Clark holds his mother very dear to him and can annihilate anyone who stands in the way of her safety. We even saw this in Civil War when Stark found out Bucky killed his mom, he went on a murderous rampage and didn't want to listen to anything Cap had to say. 2. He DID try and talk to Batman and Batman made it clear he was not there to listen. 3. Superman is Kryptonian and the motherbox reacts to him in almost the same way the scout ship reacted to his body once he was taken inside it. In motherbox's registry, he is an enemy and goes back to the history lesson where there was a Kryptonian helping fight against Darkseid. The Motherbox's immediate reaction to him would be to attack and/or defend itself. Remember Cyborg is a weapon created by the motherbox and Snyder hinted that Cyborg is not in full control of himself. Darkseid will try and lure him since the mother boxes answer to him. I think for those who did not get this the Snyder Cut will make it clear.

@@angelcross6050 Superman and Batman are the 2 biggest egos in the DC universe, the biggest superheroes of light and dark, Batman had severe emotional trauma that caused him to see Superman's actions as being negative and was manipulated by lex into thinking he was dangerous or a threat because of all of his extreme power that batman was also jealous of. Also, in BvS, Superman was always disheartened by all of the collateral damage, and didnt know the best way to use his powers, and was still finding himself as a man, as a spiritual being, and he was making mistakes and growing up and not using his power properly, and when he saw batman acting as a vigilante, he was projecting when he was saying things like you think youre above the law, because he wasnt totally sure of himself and his own powers.. the writing and stuff for Snyder films is pretty 'inside stuff' and its not really for the typical movie goer..

Even TDKR which is the movie based on, Batman said the only reason why I’m fighting Superman because he knows he holds back, they were long time friends and just wanted to teach him a lesson and for what he has become and even had outside help from green arrow. They made sense of it, but this Batman really though he had a chance and wanted to actually kill him, it’s hilarious.

This Batman and Superman look like they came right out of the comics and cartoons. It's so fascinating that they can maintain the comicbook likeness of these characters yet provide such grounded story with so much layers, depth and emotion. Hats off to everyone who made this movie. I'm so looking forward to Zack Snyder's Justice League movie.

This is not the problem, the problem is that Batman's arc would have been better if he didn't kill on this movie, and superman would be the first one that he would kill, so when he hears Martha he reminds of why she joined the battle against evil, so no children would have the pain to never see their mother again because of an idiot with a gun, and he notices that superman is now Bruce and Bruce is the killer, that would have worked way better :/

In the extended version there was an additional scene with Sups knocking Bats in ally and then walking towards him by tackling him mid flight against the building.

Hate it or love it you can't deny the fact that this movie at least didn't deserve that 29 rotten tomatoes score or the 45 from metacritic it should have been between 60 to 75 in my opinion.. This leads me to conclude that Critics reviews sometimes can be misleading *cough* Last Jedi *cough* captain marvel
RT critic scores just show you the percentage of critics who liked the movie, not how good the movie was. And that is definitely misleading, because many critics are wrong and/or biased (see the negative review of BvS that thought it was supposed to be a sequel to The Dark Knight Rises, or the fact so many of the biggest criticisms of BvS were either objectively false or completely hypocritical [like it being "too dark," when other dark superhero movies like The Dark Knight and Logan were successes all around, not to mention BvS is inspired by 2 very dark comic stories, The Dark Knight Returns and The Death of Superman], or that so many critics loved The Last Jedi even though it was guilty of all the exact same things they criticized BvS for). Another unfair thing is the fact that the RT scores are based on the theatrical version of the movie, and not the Ultimate Edition which is the director's true vision and is universally agreed to be the better movie
BvS Ultimate Edition is a timeless classic! I literally haven't seen another CBM that delves into the immigrant story, xenophobia and human emotions as good as BvS. WB wanted to copy marvel and didn't appreciate what they had and here we are now. The silver lining is we'll get the snydercut of JL after all..

His fear was clear (by many many visions that he had) but then when he realized that this alien has a human mother and in the dying moment he asked the person who was killing him to save her. Batman realizes he might be wrong about him. He has become like the killer in the alley that killed his mother. I understood all that. But it all felt forced because first of..superman had so many chances of clearing that Lex has his mom and they need to save them. It's lex who is behind all this..all the problems would have been solved.. but no.. superman decided to be like "Bruce..listen Bruce..you don't understand bruce..listen..i am gonna say something important bruce" And secondly..batman was the one who said "if there is even a 1% chance that he is our enemy, we have to take it as an absolute certainty" Yes this alien loves his mom but how that convinces him COMPLETELY that he is not evil at all. They needed to flesh that out a little more. They needed to make this more convincing after all that setup.

Speaking of IMAX, the production team shot some scenes in IMAX cameras, including the opening, the Knightmare sequence, this Ultimate Fight. But in post-production, I think they had to crop the aspect ratio. Trust me, I also want the IMAX version of this movie. But as you know, there are many sequences, for instance the warehouse fight scene. The fight scene is very intense, fast and the camera crew obviously had to use some lighter cameras.
Didn't like how it came about, but I hope Snyder Fans get a great movie regardless

Because Bruce is so painfully, horrifyingly wrong. Clark IS brave. He took on Zod's invasion, knowing he could die, and saved the whole planet for it.
But Bruce is so far gone at this point he can't see a man who saved the world and risked his life doing it. He just sees a monster.
But HE is the monster. JL is his redemption story, and I'm glad we'll be able to see it next year.
well, i wouldnt say bruce is wrong. to me, he is more like misguided. he thinks that superman's bravery is "false". it is very easy for superman to be brave bcos he is invincible. human bravery is more genuine bcos despite their weaknesses n vulnerabilities, they can overcome their fear. bruce see clark as nothing more than an alien, devoid of humanity, n a ticking time bomb.

1. Where did Superman Bully Batman? Like we saw in Man of Steel, Clark holds his mother very dear to him and can annihilate anyone who stands in the way of her safety. We even saw this in Civil War when Stark found out Bucky killed his mom, he went on a murderous rampage and didn't want to listen to anything Cap had to say.
2. He DID try and talk to Batman and Batman made it clear he was not there to listen.
3. Superman is Kryptonian and the motherbox reacts to him in almost the same way the scout ship reacted to his body once he was taken inside it. In motherbox's registry, he is an enemy and goes back to the history lesson where there was a Kryptonian helping fight against Darkseid.
The Motherbox's immediate reaction to him would be to attack and/or defend itself. Remember Cyborg is a weapon created by the motherbox and Snyder hinted that Cyborg is not in full control of himself. Darkseid will try and lure him since the mother boxes answer to him. I think for those who did not get this the Snyder Cut will make it clear.

@@angelcross6050 Superman and Batman are the 2 biggest egos in the DC universe, the biggest superheroes of light and dark, Batman had severe emotional trauma that caused him to see Superman's actions as being negative and was manipulated by lex into thinking he was dangerous or a threat because of all of his extreme power that batman was also jealous of.
Also, in BvS, Superman was always disheartened by all of the collateral damage, and didnt know the best way to use his powers, and was still finding himself as a man, as a spiritual being, and he was making mistakes and growing up and not using his power properly, and when he saw batman acting as a vigilante, he was projecting when he was saying things like you think youre above the law, because he wasnt totally sure of himself and his own powers..
the writing and stuff for Snyder films is pretty 'inside stuff' and its not really for the typical movie goer..

They made sense of it, but this Batman really though he had a chance and wanted to actually kill him, it’s hilarious.

This Batman and Superman look like they came right out of the comics and cartoons. It's so fascinating that they can maintain the comicbook likeness of these characters yet provide such grounded story with so much layers, depth and emotion. Hats off to everyone who made this movie. This is not the problem, the problem is that Batman's arc would have been better if he didn't kill on this movie, and superman would be the first one that he would kill, so when he hears Martha he reminds of why she joined the battle against evil, so no children would have the pain to never see their mother again because of an idiot with a gun, and he notices that superman is now Bruce and Bruce is the killer, that would have worked way better :/

Do you think we would've seen a moment, where Batman has his foot on somebody's throat and is ready to stab this person a spear right through his body, with a Batman who has an in tact No-Killing rule? Well, I don't think we would have. I think this could only happen with a Batman who's No-killing rule is already damaged. And with damaged I mean that this Batman killed so far, because he was careless with the lifes of criminals ; because he didn't care, if criminals die because of his actions. In the extended version there was an additional scene with Sups knocking Bats in ally and then walking towards him by tackling him mid flight against the building.

Great movie great fight. Didn’t expect this the HBO Max TH-cam channel to start posting highlights and fights and shot but cool I’m here for it.
Hate it or love it you can't deny the fact that this movie at least didn't deserve that 29 rotten tomatoes score or the 45 from metacritic it should have been between 60 to 75 in my opinion..
This leads me to conclude that Critics reviews sometimes can be misleading *cough* Last Jedi *cough* captain marvel

RT critic scores just show you the percentage of critics who liked the movie, not how good the movie was. And that is definitely misleading, because many critics are wrong and/or biased (see the negative review of BvS that thought it was supposed to be a sequel to The Dark Knight Rises, or the fact so many of the biggest criticisms of BvS were either objectively false or completely hypocritical [like it being "too dark," when other dark superhero movies like The Dark Knight and Logan were successes all around, not to mention BvS is inspired by 2 very dark comic stories, The Dark Knight Returns and The Death of Superman], or that so many critics loved The Last Jedi even though it was guilty of all the exact same things they criticized BvS for). Another unfair thing is the fact that the RT scores are based on the theatrical version of the movie, and not the Ultimate Edition which is the director's true vision and is universally agreed to be the better movie
It still blows me how captain marvel made a billion and has little bad reviews. That just goes to show the mcu bias

BvS Ultimate Edition is a timeless classic! I literally haven't seen another CBM that delves into the immigrant story, xenophobia and human emotions as good as BvS. WB wanted to copy marvel and didn't appreciate what they had and here we are now. The silver lining is we'll get the snydercut of JL after all..
