Less is more with this paint. First if not actually on chrome. always do a Gloss black then a Mirror Chrome paint first. as perfect as possible. Do no sand or clear coat the chrome paint. If you do, you now have silver paint, start over.... ... After letting the Chrome painT dry for a couple days hit it with the Metal cast purple. Very thin coat . The More you put on the deeper and richer the color will get. The point is to let the Chrome shine through the metalcast. its just a tinted clear coat. Think of it like windows on a car. If you do 10 really light layers of black eventually it will become solid black.. Even this gentlemen put way to much. It turns that pinkish color when its more solid then see through. Remember THIN coats. Do not go heavy anywhere. Its very very easy to get dark spots . Take your time.

would the vht wheel clear coat, be suitable after the colour coat? even tho the heat rating isn’t as high as the engine enamel?

What clear coat did you use with this VHT ANODIZED COLOR
I did not use any clarcoat, but i guess you could use any 1k clear coat to get extra protection and shine.
Gloss Enamel Clear coat.
