Hello, I hope to remove my dpf on my e90 soon as it is also blocking up. Your video is the best one I have seen on youtube! You have explained everything very slowly and it is very clear. Thank you for making this video.
Thank you friend - this was incredibly helpful. I cleaned the DFP on my E87 1 series 123d using your guide - it was much tighter in the engine bay but all the same process. Very much appreciated!
Thanks for the video, all the idiots on the forums were telling me to take my e90 to a garage or get it mapped out which I can't justify spending money on a car I paid nothing for and has 200k miles
If you do an aftermarket downpipe you should get it mapped to avoid overspinning the turbo due to more exhaust flow. Turbo spinning faster= more air. More air + original fuel map could hurt the engine
About to start on my x3 and was looking for some video details on the dpf extraction, Thanks for the detailed camerawork. A couple of points.. Mr muscle will remove the soot build up but you need also brick patio cleaner at a 4:1 dilution to loosen and get rid of the ash buildup. Rinse with low pressure not high pressure water or you will damage the internals for sure,. Finally and most importantly, you need to reset the dpf using software tool like bimmertool to let the system know you have a new dpf. It resets the adaptations and also the countdown mileage back to140000 miles. If you don't you will get a car will stop reminder as it approaches 140000 miles.
Excellent video, I have a 2011 320d and cleaning the DPF is my next job so I am very pleased to find you have put these instructions up. You have already helped me clean my EGR valve and my intake manifold, so I am feeling much more confident about tackling the DPF now. I'm thinking I'll probably replace both the sensors and the vacuum tube while I'm at it. Thank you.
theres a gasket betwen the turbo and the dpf, i know it doesn't show on real oem the drawing, but you have the part number just below the clamp, that clamp should be tighgtened first to ensure theres no exaust leaks betwen the turbo and the dpf ( it happened to me), then you can tighten all the bolts on the dpf. peace
It's weird with that gasket... When I replaced the turbo on our lci 120 - which was the original factory turbo - I'm 99.9% it wasn't there. But the turbo refit kit from BMW comes with this. The gasket itself is weird too as it almost seems to fit in either direction.
@@suj1945 fits only in one direction, it follows the lip of the dpf if you find a picture with that gasket youll see which direction it goes, i cant remember exactly. when i rebuilt my turbo there was no gasket, i dont think that gasket is necesary i bought it just to have peace of mind and to not do the job twice. but my istake was that when i put the turbo back in, i dint release the dpf from under the car, and there was a diff smaller than 1mm between turbo and dpf, and that was enough to feel gasses in the cabin.
My n47 DPF on my E84 X1 XDrive is blocked up.. but I cant find any videos with an XDrive car to take it off. Because its 4WD there’s bracing and stuff in the way. I think I need to drop the subframe to take the DPF off
I’m about to try this my dpf isn’t to bad or get catless downpipes but just a message to all people driving diesel n47s if you have dpf blockage reoccurring change your crankcase breather hose aswell as pcv valve cover and don’t drive your car like a grandma these cars like a bit of throttle because turbo needs to spin up so don’t be scared to drive you car a bit heavy throttle it’s good for these n47 diesels
Hi mate super job I have a e93 i hope the configuration is the same as yours. Some people say removing the dpf from the e93 is difficult because you need to remove the engine support to have the room to slide the dpf down and out What do you thinkk Thankyou
I just got a new one with the brackets including front circular bracket... There appears to be one bolt welded to the dpf like on your video... Are the rest of the bolts fixed to the vehicle..because because I didn't receive any with the dpf and brackets?
Hello mr khan what a brilliant video. Its what ive been looking for for a while now and explained everything so clear so thank you for that. I just wanted to. I think i have a dpf blockage. Because my temperature light comes popping up and the car just loses power. A while before that the engine light would come on and the car would not go over 30mph. So id restart the car and itd be fine. But now, i drive the car no more than an hour and the temperature light comes on. Is this due to the dpf being clocked up. Thank you

What symptoms did you have when this happened please? I think my seal may be gone.

Very good video only question I have is was there a reason you didn’t use fire paste in the exhaust joint before fitting together?
Didn't need to. It worked out without.
Very good video! Should you rinse the DPF with clear water before assembling it, as the Mr Muscle may harm Catalytic converter?

Is the cat built onto the dpf
Has it worked long term? Is it still clear?
Yes it did work well.
Will this also work with the 2007 e92 320d ?
Yes it will. Good luck.
How long you let mr muscle leave in the system?
One hour
@@diykhan thank you 👍
My sign comes up every time I go over 3000 revs the dpf sign comes up is there anyway I can clean it without taking it out. Many thanks
When reinstalling the Dpf I can seem to get it to fit into place anyone where that tricky bolt is anyone else has same issue ?
Excellent guide
Product?
Which one
Odlicno👍
What a great video
Thank you
Thank you boss

Thanks
If you put a wet dpf on car. That's a big shiit
I did wait 2 days for it to dry then I fitted its back in also made sure it was bone dry.
I just took it out from my 318d e90 2009. It’s like an appendix in a human body. Completely useless.
Thank you . great video
