Sir I can't thank you enough! I was sceptic about doing the DPF renewal myself because there isn't that much info/video's around. Thanks too you I can do this job! SuperB!
Hi man. Thanks for the help with the video. I just changed mine dpf. I have a little tip. The support with the two bolts that fixes the dpf under the car. The one that you talk about at minute 11:20. I did not remove it because the position for unscrew the two torx is very bad when you lay under the car like me and they are very tight. I have only bended the two metal plates off the bolts and a little more for easy removing the dpf under the car. then when you install the new one and fix the upper bracket to the engine side you can bend the plates on the bolts and put the nuts on . the metal is very soft. so the job is even faster. last nut and bolt from the upper side. i did mine in 2 hours. thanks again for the video making the job possible for anyone with simple tools
I've done this myself on my 2009 e87 118D. I have found that you don't need to remove that top bracket 14mm nut as you do at around 6:30. Using a long wrench the 13mm bolt can be unscrewed from underneath (use penetrating fluid though). In my case the nut stayed on and I think it's supposed to remain there. For me, the hardest part was removing that sliding electrical connector :) Never thought I had to use wd40 on those. Thank you posting this video!
Thanks for the very helpful video! I have to replace the flex pipe on the dpf on my e91. I was told, that I need to remove the dpf for that and I thought it would be super difficult. Now I think it’s probably doable! :)
After looking online. It seems that once you have reached 150.000 miles the car will tell you that it needs to be replaced automatically even if it is OK. As my car is running perfectly fine I will just reset it and see how things go. Good video might need to revisit.

Every diesel car since 2004 or 5 have dpf. You have for sure. You don't have to do anything about it if you drive the car on motorway at least 100 km a month or 2 months! This way the filter will burn everything from the inside!

When it's doing a regeneration I just take it to the motorway. Do you think that's fine or am I looking at problems developing ( so far in 2 years no problem). The other question is do you think non oem dpfs are rubbish? Thanks
How long you are driving on motorway at least 40 km a month you are ok. In the last year I was driving just city 20 km each day that's why I had to change it. And no the aftermarket dpf's are not rubbish. Thx for watching! #warpdrivers #warpdrivem
Warp Drive M my car is almost 190,000km on the original dpf... I imagine I'm going to need to replace it soon. Thanks to your video I may just do it myself with an aftermarket filter. Vielen Dank. Grüß
What program do you use for bmw on your phone ? Also do you need to reset any dpf calculations on ash and soot that may be held in the ecu from the old dpf ? I know this is need on Subaru Diesel but BMW I know nothing about. Cheers
How much did you paid for the dpf?
Aprox 300 euros plus the old one
@@WarpDriveM that's not much.People talking about 1000 eur,and more.
Which engine is this?
2l diesel engine or 1.8 is the same
N47d20c
Is this the reason my car loss power? It goes only like 40 MLS per hour
It might be. You have to test the car to be sure. It may be the MAF sensor aswell
Thank you! This helped a lot
Greetingz from Holland thank you so much
thank you for this video !
Nice vid pls continue with E39 :D
Thx. I am no worries...I've made more progress you can check it on my Facebook page or Twitter even Instagram @warpdrivem till the next video will come on. Since I have no garage for now I can't work everyday because is too cold outside! Thx for watching #warpdrivers
Why do you gonna sell it? So much fun with your e90 you put much energy on this thing. My (question) sell or repair this car its the same sell your car dont getting much by repair you put own budget that mean you lose both. You cant sell your car its for your channel
Chris Greenfield you are right but when you want to sell a car you have to sell it when it's working and has no problems otherwise you don't get any money for a broken one😉⁉️ and I will buy another bmw a better none👍😁 so stay tuned for the new car 💥🚘
Michael, just now as I have done the job myself, I noticed, you said earlier in the video that you wanna replace the DPF completely, but then I saw here th-cam.com/video/6D_z9MHGQ3A/w-d-xo.html that you have also replaced the Flex tube on your old one, probably for selling it. Thats also what I did and I can only encourage everybody to do so, its only 30-50€ and some welding instead of a new DPF.
Thx! Awesome Video!
Do you have any Problems until now with this DPF?
No. After the installation everything was normal👍
Warp Drive M how many km did you drive until now? 10.000km or 20.000km or even more?
Aprox 30.000 km after the filter replaced. I've sold the car (black e90) and I've got a gas one 3.0l engine
Amazing video. Thanks for sharing - Subscribed!! :-)
Nice video man, but i just inform.you abot the tempratur in pdf can max reach 400.C not 600
wrong! Yes, it can reach 600+ deg C
How much was the DPF filter?
I've sent the old one in exchange and I've payed 300 euros
Thanks for getting back.Last question.Did you lift the DPF upwards (toward the bonnet) or took out from the bottom.
Zaf Mahmood from under the car. From the top you don't have enough space.
That is not the tube from the turbo to the intake. It's the crankcase breather hose :)
Fain, tine-o tot asa.
Mersi. 👌
Ai vandut bmw-ul?
Da.
great video - thanks
Thanks again sir
Where did you buy the partickle filter?
AHG GmbH Germany
Great video!
Shame on BMW and other manufacturers for not making this an inexpensive replacement.. It should have been as easy as changing the air filter
It lasts 10 years so not really, no
Great job.
Thank you
Fuck this shit ! I will better buy a BMW with a petrol engine
where is the part where you take it out? the whole purpose of the video lol
Good man 👍
02:33
ist mir auch passiert xd
It don't need to be replaced. 5 l of petrol and air compresor do the job. DPF as new.
how to do that on an diesel engine ?
@@thelegends7716 He means that you can just remove the DPF, soak it in petrol, that will loosen the residue inside. After that you can blow it out with compressed air. Refurbish it yourself.
Petrol doesnt dissolve ash so stop spreading misinformation. Only soot which is not really a problem of any old dpf. Ash is.
Just clean the dpf
Mach noch mehr Werbung rein
You kinda look like Cristiano Ronaldo lol
But I am! 😈
taiel dal in masa de filtru
100 % illegal si mai scump să il scoti din soft decat sa il cureti sau sa iti iei altul ;)
