Which really makes no sense to the movie if you weren't alive back then.
It is the worst part about 2; WASSSAAAP from #1 had more lasting cultural relevance.
I never saw that commercial as a kid but that part of the movie killed me for some reason 😂

Fun Fact: the scene where James Woods goes "fuck this!" when he sees her head turn was adlibbed. He'd started laughing and said the line so he could go off screen and compose himself. You can still kinda see him laughing when the other priest brings him back in. It was so good they left it in.
Also, I love how they brought some of the characters back to life from the first one like nothing happened.

Christopher Masterson(from Malcolm in the Middle, 2000), though looking alot like Neil Patrick Harris, is related to the 'guy' that played Hyde from That 70s Show(1998). Those brothers had a lock down on Fox sitcoms to about 2006.
His sister is Alanna Masterson, Tara from The Walking Dead.

Anna Faris has two movies with Ryan Reynolds. 'Just Friends' and 'Waiting...'(Both are from 2005) and IMO are both underrated movies.
She also has a small role in Brokeback Mountain. She was great, but everyone brought their A game for that movie.

An Anna Farris film that doesn't get much play, but I found her really funny in it was "Smiley Face", she's in just about every scene, and gives a great performance.

The whole haunted house plot was a reference (and parody) to famous movie from 1999, The Haunting with Liam Neeson and Catherine Zeta Jones and Owen Wilson. Is about a sleep experiment study, couple of young people decide to do in this haunted villa. Very good horror/thriller movie, one of the absolute classics of the genre. The other scene, where is Shorty with his skull cut, is reference to sequel of Silence of the Lambs, The Hannibal from 2001. You should definitley do it because is great movie, Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal and Julianne Moore as Starling. 10 years after their origina meeting. Directed by Ridley Scott. Really, really good movie. The wheeelchair race was reference to MI2 haha.
A lot of references to Hollow Man with Kevin Bacon. The thermal goggles and the scene in the freezer.
The beginning part with James Woods "releasing the demons" might be my favorite openings... and the part with "Uncle Ray-Ray" under the bed with the scary clown doll might be my favorite scene in all 5 of the Scary Movie films. The bird taunts and the literal cat fight with Cindy are close second. The Hip-Hop Christmas commercial is pretty funny as well. And yes, Anna Faris and the entire cast are all excellent in this parody. 😁
Disappointing that they cut the Shorty line of "Gotta put you in the Full Nelson to lick em." bit. I was looking forward to seeing both of them laugh at that.

The scene with Shorty's head being cut open is from Hannibal (sequel to Silence of the Lambs) and the dude in his head is Bettlejuice. He is an American entertainer, comedian and actor, probably best known for having been named the greatest of Howard Stern's Wack Pack.
Parody movies are so easy to put on and just laugh. It's probably why my friends all quoted them constantly. This one, BASEketball (1998), Black Dynamite (2009), even going back to Airplane (1980).

One of the most overlooked jokes in this movie is the Firestone wheelchair tire gag. Back in the 90’s, Firestone manufactured a few different models of tires that were found to be defective, with the tread separating from the tires at high speed. These tires were used heavily by Ford, and crashes cause by the tires lead to the deaths of hundreds of people.

This is my favorite of the Scary Movies franchise, although there are memorable scenes and dialog in all the films. Like Cindy's line in Scary Movie 4 when she gets hit in the face with a baseball (classic line, which I won't spoil).

He is the younger brother of Danny Masterson (Hyde from That 70's Show) He also can be found in some episodes of That 70's Show as "The Cheese Guy" who is Jackie's manager when she gets the job handing out samples at the cheese store in the mall.
