  • In this video , I will be teaching you how to prepare your fruits for the Jamaican Black cake aka Fruit Cake aka Christmas Cake.
This video is for those who decided last minute on baking this cake.
Normally the fruits are soaked in Rum and Red Label Wine for numerous months to get that Rum flavor that this cake is known for.
This is a quick and easy method to circumvent the wait time and achieve the same result.

After the fruits stew down, you said to let it cool before blending. But, you then said its been sitting there for 2 days. Did you mean 2hrs and not 2 days before blending??

Vanessa you are right , it should be 2 hrs. You really just need to wait until it is cool before blending.

Just enough when combined with the wine to cover the fruits . It will vary based on the amount of fruits used
