I really like watching harvest content that is more up to date rather than several weeks old. Hope the hurricane didn’t damage your crops too bad, had lots of wind here in central Indiana. Great video!
Andy, the breeder I bought my Newfie from has a massive farming operation in another state. She's more into breeding various breeds and doing her own thing. She sent me some pics a while ago. It was her latest bunch of new Bobcat kitties. LOL She also sent a pic of her holding the daddy Bobcat. OMG, there's zero chance I'd get near it let alone hold it. We've got an open invite to go shooting out on their property and stay at their lodge. I respectfully and politely declined a few times now. I'm not going anywhere even close to a Bobcat Breeder. LOL Happy and safe harvest neighbor to the south. God Bless Edit to add: after watching Katie hook up a head to the combine, I am officially saying she's a BOSS and kinda puts you boys to shame. LOLOL Kidding, but dear Lord, she's good at it
Enjoy watching your channel from planting to harvest. I grew up in Idaho on the farm. You may enjoy watching potato harvest on a rain off day, Rocky Mountain Farm channel. Am retired and old living in Arizona. Wouldn't know how to start a new tractor.
Your journey in agriculture is truly beautiful and inspiring! The dedication, hard work, and passion you put into nurturing the land and growing life are admirable
You should look at putting may west Polly on your Deere stock stompers we really like them because the corn slides a little better on the stomper and if doesn’t wear out the metal on the Deere stomper
Andy, we had .8” yesterday also. Still raining today, will be shelling corn first and letting the beans dry next week. Hope you get the extension working right before harvest is over.😅
We ended up with close to 1" and quite a bit more wind than I had anticipated. We will probably be able to cut beans on Tuesday or Wednesday if they sun comes out!
Second time watching this video you should consider putting on lankota tippy spout on the s670 and crary has a good grain extension for the x9 it tops it up to 550 bushel also you guys are deere sales men on youtube keep up the good work
Dairy farmer here from Scotland.. what is your soya beans used for and whats ur corn used for also? john deere new holland jcb owner nver switch them off...... love a go your X9 is it autosteer? and why is the combine not steer you corn cart/////// we grow barley it averages 114 bushells to the acre i converted to your langage
I'm not sure about the Baileys thing but it made me think of "Is it necessary that I drink my own _ _ _ _, no, but I do it anyways, because it's sterile and I like the taste" LOL WTF 😆😅🤣
[26:20] Do you think this kind of incentive is enough to outweigh the potential issues caused by harvesting in less-than-ideal conditions? Would love to hear your thoughts!
Hey Andy, just some info here:, literally watched a bobcat take down a mule deer doe 10 feet from my car in Oregon, a couple of years ago: State Fish & Game wouldn’t let me shoot it because it wasn’t a domestic animal that it killed. Just an fyi: bobcats are way more capable of killing than you think. Food for thought.
I've been eyeing down some nice dual tube night vision gear, but I haven't pulled the trigger. If corn were 2x the price that it is now, I'd already have two pairs haha
That's a great way to look at it. The DEF pump is interesting because some of them are wired around the battery shut-off. The X9 switch doesn't kill the pump. The 8Rs definitely don't like it if you kill the power before the pump is off.
Bobcats can take down dogs. At least here in the PNW. Friend had a bobcat tear into his lab-sized dog. Cost thousands in vet bills. Keep your eyes out!
Other than running the inline ripper, which we haven't decided on this year yet, there isn't any pressing tillage to be done. Working corn stalks early is a gamble. It works better if they get some rain on them and time to decay. If it stays super wet all fall, you'd be better off working now.

I've been doing my best to keep these close to real time. This one wrapped up just two days ago in real time!
Marty flexin that rock at the camera was amazing. Fucking guy would be a legend on the internet if he would talk to the camera! #MOREMARTY
The internet couldn't handle my dad. He doesn't have the personality that fits well with a family-friendly TH-cam video most of the time 🤣
Glad they’re getting your issues fixed.
They always take care of us and everyone else.
Such a fantastic production, every second was captivating
Points awarded for an Old Gregg reference. "Its as close as you can get to baileys with out your eyes gettin' wet!"
One of the best videos of all time...

I've seen a few of their videos. They do great work!

Also we shut ours off. We had a tractor burn up due to a electrical short so kinda scared us and we always use the shut off now.
We will have to look into that. Polymer is cheaper to replace than metal!
Thanks
Yes, we shut off everything all the time. Trickle charger in winter months also
Great video. Looking forward to seeing the new grain tank extension.

For a moment, I thought Marty was going to throw that rock at the camera.
Good job guys
16:07 cracked me up
Battery disconnect for me is piece of mind for weird fire. Use daily.
Awesome Video as Always!!!
It is still raining in SE, indiana, and I have seen a few flattened fields 65mph "It would appear that the strain was more than he could bear"
You need to put in a cement apron around your garage and down the street so your kids can play on it
Morning!
Howdy!
Old Gregg! What are you doing in my waters

I always turn off master switches when I am gone. If for no other reason than to prevent electrical fires.
Good logic!
We leave the battery on if we are going to use it with in the next month

We only got one “8R” and we turn it off every night after we finish our other ones are 8000Rs
We turn our stuff off, too. It's probably unnecessary!
Do you all use the data from your local variety trial program to influence what you plant year to year?
Yes and no. We stick with the same companies even if another companies wins a plot.
I'm not sure about the Baileys thing but it made me think of "Is it necessary that I drink my own _ _ _ _, no, but I do it anyways, because it's sterile and I like the taste" LOL WTF 😆😅🤣

I think we get 24 cent dock for 20.5% moisture. Thus 12 cent/bu*200bpa=$24/ac benefit. Nice
Your dad sure likes his red t shirts!
He's about in need of some new ones... a lot of holes in them now!
"If anyone is hiring, I'll send my resume"....😆🤣😆🤣😆🤣
Farmer is happy
👍👍
Competition is key to what makes capitalism and our country great
Agreed. Unfortunately, a lot of sectors of ag have lost all competition.

Someone told me that they can kill 3-4x their weight!!!
Do you put talc on the tracks when making a long trip?
Yes we talc them periodically throughout the year and if we are going to move 15 miles or more.
It’s called night vision my friend 🤣😉
I've been eyeing down some nice dual tube night vision gear, but I haven't pulled the trigger. If corn were 2x the price that it is now, I'd already have two pairs haha
Ol' GREG
The discovery of Katies "secret" pee bucket at 4:57 was the highlight of this video.
Pee buckets in fields? Did RAGBRAI add an Illinois leg this year?
Hahah maybe!
DON"T KICK THE BUCKET OVER
Is ur dad a three speed?!! Fast, full throttle, and full send?!
That's the perfect description of him!
@@aTrippyFarmer I live in the quad cities can I come help sometime?!
Lock out tag out save a life that’s what battery switches r for
Do you love me? Yes or no make an assessment. I’m OL GREG 😂
If the implement is not being used in a week, we shut them off. 🤷♂️ I don’t like waiting for the def pump!

It is impossible to see until the corn is out behind the house... then I can keep an eye on the fields!
Half rate drying and 20% corn? Why not haul ass??
We bin this corn around home.
On times when you are waiting to harvest, why don't you go-ahead and start fall tillage on the fields you have harvested?????
Other than running the inline ripper, which we haven't decided on this year yet, there isn't any pressing tillage to be done. Working corn stalks early is a gamble. It works better if they get some rain on them and time to decay. If it stays super wet all fall, you'd be better off working now.
Yeah, those stiff door gaskets. I think it's easier to close the door on a Jehovah's witness.
I really like your channel. What's the western star that sets in Your yard
If I remember correctly that is Chris' old Western Star. I do believe it's still up for sale. Not sure why no one has bought it yet. It's really nice.
