damn, I was hoping this review would give a look at the backlight strobing features as it's one of the only IPS 34 inch monitors with a high refresh rate that has that feature. Good review otehrwise.
Thank you for giving your opinions in this video. I bought this monitor last september, mainly because I had eye problems and the specs of this monitor appeared to be the most "eye friendly". As you pointed out perfectly, I also still feel a bit lost with the menus, and usually only ever switch between the presets "fps" and "rpg", both with a blue color reduction value of 10. I am not particularly happy with the sound system, the bass is either way too weak or so strong that it starts to produce screeching sounds. Most of the time I just use a noise cancelling bluethooth headset instead. Overall I am happy with this monitor since it greatly helped my eyes and I can now spend more time infront of the pc, but to be honest I think I wouldn't buy the same model a second time.
I am so glad I watched your video! For months, I have been disappointed how dim the monitor is compared to my LG monitor. It is idiotic that enabling blur reduction affects the brightness like that. You have yourself a new subscriber! Thank you so much!
Hey ! Out of curiosity, is the screen occupying most of your desk space? I'm afraid ultra wide monitors have deep stand (27cm+). Do you have a "deep" desk?
I am currently debating between getting this monitor or the HP X34. The main thing for me is the price tag and colors. Would the difference in colors be worth the 300 dollar difference? Or is it barely even noticeable?
In my opinion it is not worth it right now, unless you are looking for an ultrawide with high refresh rate and good speakers, but I think you can always get a better audio system for less money. Currently I have Samsung sj55w and I'm pretty happy with it, I overclocked it to 90 Hz and I think I don't need more since most games I play are open world ones.
Hi @TotallydubbedHD, Thanx for this review! Now as we are in 2023 and prices are around 780-800 Euro's will this be a good monitor for this price? It will be used for photo editing and gaming on a console. If not can you point me in a direction of other monitors? Appreciate your help in advance
How would you compare this to the EX3410R? They’re currently sitting at $500 and $750 USD, so they are in a much more reasonable price range, but I’m not sure which direction to go. I would primarily use it for sim racing, but may also watch other media on it. The curvature and panel seem to be the only difference, but without seeing either, it’s hard to judge.
Hard to say, as your PS5 doesn't natively do 1440p - so not sure if this would make any sense (at best you'll be running 60hz at 4K) - but can't confirm
I actually ordered this monitor, considering canceling the order.for the love of god...nobody gives a fuck about monitor speakers, major turn off, which means if they spend money on putting in good speakers, means they had to cut down somewhere else where it actually matters and you pay for something you give 0 fucks (nobody cares about quality of speakers on a monitor, nobody). Also there for because, they gave that much attention on speakers, the monitor has a bigger chin than most, also major turn off...specially if you're considering buying two like i am. Nice review mate
@TotallydubbedHD Thanks for making this video. It's very informative. Please, what monitor would you recommend to a Graphic Designer who loves big screens?
@@TotallydubbedHD i am torn between the omen and the one in the video cause its an ips but its way more expensive and lower refresh rate so i couldn’t decide
Tnx for the review dude. I'm on the marker for a 34'' ultrawide curved gamig monitor to replace my 4 yearold Lenovo Legion Y25F. I don't have any plans as of right now to use 2 monitors, so that is why I want to get an Ultrawide. Mainly I play on my PS5 but I also play pretty hardcore CS:GO (Global elite - faceit lvl 6). What would you recommend? Thanks !
@@edinpriatel Lol i don't play that russian sponsored community game. But everyone knows playing shooters competitive on a ultra wide screen is just being stupid.
Hi. I'm looking for a good monitor with high DCI-P3 coverage. Which monitor would you recommend? Intended for productivity only and no gaming. Either UHD or Ultra wide am I looking for, between 30"-35"
That's a good question, and unfortunately I'm not the best to ask, as I often don't test for DCI-P3 coverage/accuracy (of course some monitors are wide gamut). Sorry!
Thanks for the great review. I decided to check on the other options you mentioned. Have you checked 34" AOC CU34G3S/BK 4K Gaming ? Specs seem very nice and price is bargain for the specs. Curious about your opinion
I actually am very happy to have the benq speakers. I have a good external amp/dac and bookshelfs for my personal rig, but when I plug in my work laptop into my monitor, I can still enjoy above average sound quality from single cable instead. And to be honest, I've seen many gamers with poor-sounding speakers that could easily replace two crappy speakers with the benq monitor ones and wouldn't lose out. MOST ppl don't give a crap about sound. Vast majority are happy with onboard motherboard sound and tin can speakers with a cheap sub. Or prefer gaming with "surround" headsets.
Buy the BenQ EX3415R from Amazon: locally.link/dPqS

Did u test g-sync option on Nvidia card. Is there some issues with it? Like flickering or something.
Nice desktop audio setup, the monitor is fecking it all up tho! 😄
