I'm literally drinking the first Barbera I've ever had and I love it. Wonderful acidity.

Thanks for this! Just tried a barbera for the first time a week ago and loved it. Had never heard of it before, so your information helps.

Absolutely love Barbera. We never drink an American wine over it, especially if you’re eating anything.

If you like spicy notes go with the California Barbara. Very good. The gold country in Northern California and Lodi area are known for Barbara.

The designations were born with the task of indicating a minimum of guaranteed quality but in Italy the best winemakers have abandoned them. The designations in Italy are NOT absolute synonymous with quality because they have too broad parameters. Follow your palate or get advice from an honest connoisseur, the wine legislation in Italy was made to facilitate the great wine producers not for consumers.

Believe it or not, western Colorado Restoration Vineyards makes a great Barbera! If you're in the Grand Junction area stop by! I'm having it with tomato based "Marry me chicken" tonight
