I use the Fold 5 for work all day at full brightness using Google Maps, filling in documents, reading protocols, etc, and use it for fun the evening with games and watching your content 👍. I get a full day even when starting at 80% battery protect. My only issue is the s pen not always working.
Same for me I'm on it most of the day and have no problem with the battery.
I have the Z Fold 5. I agree with most of the comments. "Once you Fold, you can't unFold." I don't know that I'll go back to a regular phone unless we don't get an Ultra variant with flagship cameras and an internal S Pen
The Pixel Fold love better takes the best pictures in MHKD blind camera test . I hardly had a bad shot my Z Fold 3 I can't say the same.

I don't have any issues with apps on the z fold 4. I wish I could say the same about my OnePlus open.
I like how this guy just totally blows off this other guy's experience with this phone normal people who have a normal 95 job. Through a whole day on my phone and I have pixel folds. You know why? Because I'm not on my phone all day and 2. Yes, because you're coming from a 3-year-old phone duh. You just totally blocked other people's experience because it's not yours. Yeah, real real cute there guy.
My fold 5 also lasts all day. In the beginning I hated the form factor being so narrow. Now, I just appreciate the compact form factor. That being said a slightly wider front display will be awesome, but not too wide to maintain the compact form factor.
I use swipe to text and general function for the front display but use it mostly in its open position. In fact, at home I never close the screen, it’s just when I leave home when I close it. However, opening that display to look at maps, menus, shopping, TH-cam and typing on it has become efficient for me.
The fold 6, at least to me, looks like a good upgrade with a slightly wider and symmetrical display.

@@GregglesTV 🤣 no mate… honest opinion here. I was going to buy the one plus open but Samsung had a deal undercutting the one plus open by $350 so I reluctantly caved knowing I would probably regret not having the wider display. I ended up loving the form factor. As for battery, it easily lasts a day, auto brightness below half and I have 253 apps😉

I agree with you.. Ended up really liking this fold 5! And my battery is definitely an all day endurance champ!
The fact is the narrow screen limits the tech. Samsung has less room to put stuff in so they need to go thicker than the competition. Also the crease on the z fold is a problem in well lit environments, especially months after usage. The crease gets more severe and reflects light a lot. Many apps still crop content way too much. Reddit still does this and twitter is useless in landscape. I agree with most of these points. Apps have hardly improved on foldables. Instagram just moved the buttoms to the side
@gregglytv not sure why Samsung went with a small front screen. Why don't they make it the same size of the s24 ultra that way we get a bigger unfolded screen?
I really love the outside display. It's comfortable to hold. It's like an elongated iphone 5s.

NO! Don't be like me and assume Samsung will give you a decent trade in price! Trade ins have sucked since the S23 Ultra came out! $700.00 for a Z Fold5 trade in for the S24 Ultra??! That's b.s. why does Samsung get to buy my Z Fold5 for Less money than I would have to pay them!! Nowhere can I go and buy a Z Fold5 for $700.00!!! Your better off waiting 2 mos!!
Sorry, the front screen isn't a problem at all. I had an iPhone 4 for years and had no issues, but yes, the bigger screen is a plus.
I had the fold 4 and i dont like the slim front screen. I had problem with the charging port and it shuts down when i pull the charging cable out. Also I hated the same camera from the fold 2. Now im using the S23 Ultra for the built in S pen, the large battery and the great camera. If im going back to a folding fold, Ill seriously consider the coming One plus open 2. I hope it has wireless charging.
The battery life is a hard thing to compare. Mine usually has anything between 50-25% when I go to bed. I hate the "too big" ultra/max phone models and that's why I love the narrow front display. I come from iPhone 13 mini though so I have zero issues typing with this thing.
I have the unlocked ZF5 and as 7/25/24 I'm still on 14 UI 6.0. is the ZF5 getting the UI6.1 update? the last patch is dated in January and the system update is dated June 2024.. any suggestions?
I use the outside screen to make calls, but I have to look up any messages and if I have to text someone just a, yes, no, something small. I use my front screen other than that, I open the inside screen and another way you can save on battery life is something I've always done with androids. Every time I'm done with all my apps, I immediately. They close them out, so they're not running in the background. That's just something i've done with all my phones
I get the same amount of battery on my fold 5 as I did on my s22 ultra. No clue what you're on about man.
Bruv, i have 6 emails accounts for work and personal use, on as emails arrive, i use WhatsApp and WhatsApp business on it every day, i make calls and write texts, i navigate with it, i watch movies on it and i still have battery to last me overnight. I change it early morning and off i go to work with 100% at 8am, just to return home with 40-50% battery after a hard day.
By the way, reception is poor and the phone continuously searches for signal.
I don't have a light performance mode, or battery saver enabled.
I also eBay everyday.
What can i say, it matches my former S23 Ultra phone easy, and i have a small tablet to work with.
You must have bought a defective unit.
But my battery....is amazing.
Honestly, i doubted this device highly before i bought it, but my wife told me how amazing hers was for battery, and i wasn't dissapointed when i bought myself one.

I love holding it in my hand when I'm talking on the phone somewhere. Because it reminds me of the old home phone's work. It's then fit your hand great works perfectly
The zfold 5 is not worth a penny more than the s23 ultra, for $1699-$1799 zero sacrifices, if the zfold 5 was a large folding s23 ultra I'd say it's worth $1699, fir $1799 it needs to becomes the note replace, like slight refinements

For the price you get shitty cameras for the money your paying , to narrow at least for me other then that i like the fold. The 6 is coming out with the same shit camera and just a tad larger. I feel like samsung can do better they just dont want to. They are starting to look like apple with minimal upgrades every year

I knew off bail u was going to disagree on battery it really depends on what games and what apps you use and some features to turn off. Mines holds up great compared to dropping it grips of times and once or twice in muddy water. But again mines holds up a day and watching Netflix dont drain battery like it will do on most devices. I watched a whole season of evil on one charge its really insane how much it dont drain while using the big screen compared to things with big screens thats portable like the Nintendo switch😂 oh turn off them notifications😂😂😂bruh most them be useless and alot of them use your background so yeah no wonder why yours suck and you getting bad experience

The reason why you're getting such bad battery life is cause you have the adaptive brightness on and if you're going in bright areas, it's gonna raise it app to 1700 nitch, which means you're gonna blow through your battery. Turn that off and set it where you like it and your battery life will more than double
