Short answer is I have sensory processing disorder and the UDC has a shimmering effect that gives me a headache if I don't disable it. Im grateful for these "user manual" type of videos. I've always gone for phones that have all these great features and then can't figure out how to use them. Currently, I have the S22 Ultra and when I try to open text messages, it'll sometimes open as a pop-up screen - no idea how I'm doing that! I'll be glad to have this video when my 6 comes next week.
aaaannnnddddd This is why the Fold 6 is the superior foldable on the market. The software is second to none. Something as simple as having a separate home screen layout for the inner display as opposed to the outer display is a huge deal for usability. Whenever I use the Pixel or OnePlus foldable the software is good but it's unfinished. When using Samsung, it really feels like they've been in the game for many years, because they have.

Love the video. At the 20m45s spot in the video, you try to use the SPen in Threads. This sort of works in the Samsung Keyboard you are using. You just need to use the T icon just above the “7” key on the keyboard. It does not work exactly like the previous way you demoed, but it is usable. I tested this on my ZFold 5 and it works, just the writing pad takes over the area where the keyboard usually is.
Does the wireless QI charging work when the S-Pen case is on? Just thinkin the pen slot would maybe interfere with it as it lifts the phone little upwards

Hi Shane, I just got my fold 6 last night, and I am coming from a Fold 4. Have you noticed the difference in screen color vibrance? I found the colors/display on my fold 4 more colorful/vibrant.

For edge panels, don't disable it. It's very useful for 1-click 3 apps multitasking. Open 3 apps you want to save > click '...' > then 'star' > save to edge panel. You can save as many multitask app as you want. Easily most used panel with my use, you won't even need the bottom taskbar (hide/call it by holding bottom part of phone.
If Samsung offered trade in for the 1+ Open then I might have considered trading in my open but they didn't offer it as their biggest competitor. Come on Samsung!
Been waiting for this. Not because I haven't seen its like before when I got my first fold, but because for some reason not *all* of my settings transferred over and I want to make sure I got all the important ones. Caught 3 or 4 things so far that I distinctly noticed didn't behave how I wanted.

Samsung gave me $1000 trade in, which how can you pass up their awesome trade in deals. I'm not one to upgrade my phone every year. I've been very surprised and impressed with the Z Fold 4. So once again, Samsung is offering killer trade in credits. I pre-ordered Z Fold 6 512GB Crafted Black. I'm excited to see how much Samsung has improved the Fold. I appreciate your channel. not really , s24 ultra just the camera beat z fold 6, i would say vivo fold 3 pro or oneplus open they both get similar camera s24 ultra you will be dissapointed with fold 6 because the camera is like going back to s20 ultra or maybe worst 😒

I've had an iPhone for the last three years and I didn't know that it changed so much in Android and Samsung. I've had Fold 6 since Friday and I'm still learning the phone. I've broken my keyboard display a few times and it took me a little bit to Fix it 😂 The only thing that could be better is the internal camera, the battery, the retractable stylus on the phone and somehow the conversation because I can hear Worse the The person I'm talking to in comparison with the iPhone. I'm also a little worried that I'll damage my phone because I'm going to drop it.The iPhone has survived these few years without scratches because I have a good case and here unfortunately these cases from Samsung with a stylus will not give me the same. Curiously from my experience almost no one in Australia uses the finger print scanner. Maybe its like that in other places and Samsung just left it up to the user rather than pretty much force you to set it up like apple does.

I got my Fold6 yesterday. I spent several hours setting it up to match my Fold5. There is very little difference for my uses, so unfortunately, the Fold6 is going back. That said, UI 6.1.1 is a very nice upgrade! I also received the Galaxy Watch Ultra, which I am excited to be wearing and keeping (after wearing the Galaxy Watch5 Pro 45mm since it came out).
The only reasons you should've even considered upgrading in my opinion is if 1) You have to have the latest phone and 2, if you prefer the squared edges (design basically) on the Fold 6. I understand there's obviously a return window but still, thoroughly research before you purchase something would be my advice.

Also, you forget about turning the sound applications independent feature option...is off by default.....it let you choose a particular sound notification you downloaded for every app.
The fold six ultra is common later next year and it might be better without knowing how it looks I can explain too much, but people are spending money on the phone that will be crap, but if the ultra it cannot be better and it gonna be the same like this, then just forget about the foldable phones permanent till the next 10 years pass
My fold 4 was garbage, sent for repairs 3 times, now the screens goes black when I close it , basically a tablet now, have had a 6 for 3 weeks, no problem yet. Lol , I purchased the lifetime warranty this time
It's kind of funny how half the AI stuff just didn't work. That feature where you cut something out of an image is not new by the way, used it on my fold3. It's definitely not perfect in some images it just grabs random things. But I've actually used it to make some art of my dog
You might be confusing their old Object Eraser feature for Generative Edit which debuted with the S24 line and has been added to other devices since. Very different features.

Look into spigen for a case, they have this really armored one that holds the s pen in the spine if you have one
