Fruits episode! everytime I'm amazed with what you're bringing in those episodes! when I think you can't show us any more food you just keep bringing cool stuff, I really like the serious!! You're doing a great job!! is there going to be an episode on snacks?
Oh my goooooosh this episode was great! I love learning about new fruits hehe. Moonie's fruit enthusiasm and Natalie's durian specific enthusiasm were so cute and fun!
Great episode Taylor - i went to hong kong first time last week - unfortunately was during the typhoon season.. but my impression of the food here in hong kong is just out of the world.. the Yumcha/Dimsum is top notch, street foods amazing =D, i didnt try the food so this was a great experience to share with Moonie
you're doing a great job on this series i love that we get to see a more in depth perspective of hong kong through its food culture and all the ladies have been such good additions to the episodes as well! keep it up love ❤️
Lol love this video and love Moonie!! She looks so nice and explains each thing so clearly. I definitely a Durian lover haha and I heard most of people even don't know what that is.
Granadilla and mangostino are common fruits in colombia ! it's so crazyto see that for you guys its an exotic fruit and over here we would eat that in school! amazing episodeeee taaay really loved this
Watching this while eating mangoes in China. Great work on this series, Taylor! It reminds me of the quality I'd find on The Travel China but much more real and exciting to watch. Now I have new places to go and try on my next Hong Kong weekend.
From Malaysia, and in here, durian are the king of fruits. THAT MUSANG KING ARE ONE OF THE BEST. In its peak season, durian can be brought for as cheap as RM0.50 = HK$0.95. We even have D24 which is the hybrid durian produced by our Agriculture Dept. Durian actually can be differentiate by 3 distinct category : Creamy, Gassy(alcoholic) and Bitter.
I had the tv on while watching this episode and I found hilarious that The Parent Trap was playing just when Moonie talked about it! 😂 Great episode, Taylor! ❤
Aww, I am weirdly pleased that your favourite was the granadillas. I used to eat so many in my childhood that it made me nostalgic. Loving these series!!
That was my favorite Episode so far ! I laughed so much ! It doesnt have to be yummy food all the time. Spread awareness of different flavors people have to be careful about xD Enjoyed it a lot ! Excited for the next one
Thanks for doing this series Taylor, super interesting. HK is all about the food so you'll always have lots of material. There aren't enough series on HK so keep it up 👍
I loved this episode! It was neat to see how many different fruits are avaliable in Hong Kong. I didn't realize that specialty durian stores were even a thing.
5:33 😂😂😂😂😂😂 LOOOOOL!!!!! "Custard apple" 😂😂😂😂 I'm from Chile, and that fruit is called "CHIRIMOYA". It has a sooooo unique flavor, it's not even similar to something you've tried before. We have fruits all year long. We are a blessed country when it comes to source of fresh fruits and vegetables. It's so nice! Thank you Tay for this episode. I enjoyed it so much!
This episode has been superinteresting, all those fruits were so curious! I've only heard about rambutan because is similar to lychees (which I love!) and mangosteen because once I got a drink made of that, without knowing anything at all lol, and it was good :) That mango places looks awsome :3
Granadilla and chirimoya (it was called something...apple...maybe it was related) are from Peru. They're awesome fruits, very nutritious! Glad you like it!
I cannot possibly fathom you have the courage to try durian. Most, like me, would run as far away as possible from this pungent fruit. But then, many will flock to it like bees to the sweet nectar of flowers. What an enigma. The durian sample platter you gals had was so expensive. Unbelievable... Cool video... Great job....
Hey Taylor I love your videos ..this food series is awesome....can you sometimes do travel videos of places around Hong Kong..just an idea ...I love watching travel vlogs and I would really love to see beautiful places in Hong Kong.🙂
I love kiwano! I ate them one a couple of years ago but never found again here in Germany 😅 but actually the name in German is the best it's called Horngurke so basically horned cucumber 😄
It’s strange how different fruits look different around the world. In South Africa, the Granadilla fruit looks smaller and it’s a deep purple/ red on the outside and the fruit on the inside is slightly more greener 😱 it’s amazing
I love love love fruit, but here in the Netherlands fruit is really expensive...so I do not get to eat too much of it. Seeing this video made my heart jump for joy, because there are so many types of fruit I want to eat and enjoy.... Oh: and that tree growing out of the second floor was amazing! Thank you for this colorful and delicious video!
I live in Canada and have tried all of these fruits, the international weird fruit section keeps expanding, but they sure are expensive!!! I love DURIAN!!!
Best series ever ❤ These videos are so interesting and professional...I love to learn more about the food in Hong Kong since it is completely different from the food that we have in Europe 😊
Tay hahah is 6:53 is Granadilla in Peru we eat it many and you must drink it like with the seeds and all not bite the seeds 😊 , also the first fruit green and white inside is Guanabana the ice cream of that fruit is so delicious ! 😊 also Passion Fruit ( Maracuya ) you dont have to eat direct you need first to put in a mixer and drink like juice also add sugar or honey because is so acid
Great episode! This makes me want to try more exotic fruits now. Oh and one time I was ordering bubble tea and asked for durian. They lady behind the counter looked scared and told me it tasted like gasoline so I ordered something else. I still can’t bring myself to try it. 😂
This is one of my favourite food episode because I love fruits! I also noticed that you and Moonie are wearing the same outfit in this video. Both wearing red tops and jeans. Was this planned at all? Lol. Moonie seems like a sweet person and she's very pretty!
I have a grinnadilla tree well its a climber tree in my garden planted it from the seed, also I have gooseberries I like growing my own fruit, we have a red/purple grinnadilla and orange gooseberries
For the first time in my life, I can totally relate to Rosie. My friends always does that, knowing that I absolutely hate durian. I totally agree that durian is a fruit that you will either love like crazy or hate it to the core.
Omg sooo nostalgic ! Im half Ecuadorian and I used to eat Granadillas all the time as a child! Fun fact: A lot of locals crack the Granadilla open by hitting it on their heads 😂😂 (Since the shell is pretty soft, and the inside is protected by the little sack ) + I don't know if you guys actually shewed the seeds... but that's not how you are supposed to eat it, instead just swallow the inside :)
I had never seen a rambutan before until a Filipino co-worker brought one in to work. I tried it! Like the inside of a grape(so like without the peel) consistency and so sweet and watery basically.
So interesting seeing the sweets recipes. We have all the fruits here in Costa Rica and all of them can grow here, except the kiwano that it's exotic. You should visit Central and South America 😉
Mangosteen definitely by far is my favourite fruit. Got to know about it back when I was in Vietnam as a child and since then been craving it. Can't wait to go back and eat them
That mango shop... That is heaven. I hope they included dried mangoes too because it will add extra texture and it tastes so good. I have two mangoes here but the green ones (unripe) I haven't touched them yet because I haven't bought sautéed shrimp paste yet for the dip.
Hi Tay...This was my favorite episode. I learned so much. I never ate most of the exotic fruits..very interesting. Well as they say I could live in Mango Island. HaHa. Now you can take Elbow San💟💟
The New theland fruit you cut at the top and use the straw to smash the inside and add honey they sell it with . Then you mix it in the fruit and drink
we have Granadilla at Nicaragua. we do drinks with it. Also, have dragon fruit.. the real name is pitahaya.. and we named chinese mamon to the small ones..
Taylor sweetheart, as much as I enjoy this food series, I do really miss your laidback cooking vlogs, where you’d show us what you’d make for dinner or breakfast ♥️ I noticed you don’t cook as much as you used to, it makes me miss your old healthy cooking videos a lot! Love from an ancient subscriber since TayTay 1.0 😘
custard apples are very common in Chile (we called them chirimoya)...you must try them! we add them to some cocktails drinks too, its one of my favorite fruits
