I agree. Finding good guest is tough...but you found a very charming and intereting "expert". IAlso, I'm really not a foody person ( quite the opposite in fact!) but, this video is definitely in my top 5 in all your videos Taylor...Can't wait to see what's next in this serie.
I’m so excited for this series, I love the documentary style voice over Taylor! When I travel the thing I look forward to the most is try all the local foods. ☺️💕 I’m so happy for this!
Its definitely a travel channel feel. I love it I can't wait for the next episode of eating with Taylor food Friday. I couldn't remember the real title.
Great video Taylor and very informative! My husband grew up in Hong Kong and I enjoy your videos about HK culture and food as it gives me more insight. He loves all these snacks and I think I might give stinky tofu another try with sauce this time!
Tbh I was waiting for something like this, to show a little bit more about HongKong and especially the food! And You and Kinki made a very good job, I really enjoyed this episode and can't wait for the next one, Thank you
I'm glad you show Hong Kong to more people - it so underappreciated! I wish I had such audience to show the beauty and hidden gems to all the people, but I'm so happy you have to power and ability to do so! Hong Kong is a true foodie paradise - not to mention it's probably the only place in the world I eat my heart out and don't gain a single pound :D! Keep on your great work for Hong Kong
This is officially one of my favourite videos on your channel!! As a foodie person myself (now on a diet) I'm living for you trying these foods that I hope to try as well one day. Im so excited for this series.
OMG, I am sooooo happy you are starting this series! This is exactly the kind of content I love to see! I’d also love to see cooking videos where you get together with locals in the area and film them cooking local dishes and include the recipe! Kinki did WONDERFULLY with speaking English! She had nothing to be nervous about. Looking forward to seeing some of her content, too. Have you ever thought about using a gimbal for filming? It will help steady the camera so there’s not so much camera shake/movement. A lot of vloggers use something like the DJI Osmo. I’ve been wanting to get one myself, but they are out of my price range at the moment.
This is the perfect kind of video/series to be filmed by your assistant. Makes it look more like a tv show and since it's not really a vlog it doesn't take away the personal touch. Great idea! PS: Still need to work on the shaky camera a bit.. ;D
Tell Kinki her English was so good and her pronunciations were awesome! I know a lot of Asian languages have less of the same sounds we do (Like Japanese doesn't have an "R" sound it's more of an "L") so she did really well, no need to be nervous to try out different languages!
i love the new series and i am exited to watch it( and all the taytay uploads) but i have to say your video's are shaking a lot and it it hard to focus on one point because of it. you bought a expensive holder and i get that it is heavy, but it is a waste not to use it. will still watch you regardless :D
This was beyond brilliant. Love how relaxed you both were. Great advice regarding not judging book by cover in HK, oftentimes the dingier the place the better (within reason). Just subscribed to Kinki's channel too - she has a wonderful way of describing the food she tries.
I love that you are showing food from Hong Kong! It's a great idea and very informative. All of the food looked so good! I can't wait to see more videos. Also, Kinki's English is good (no reason to feel embarrassed).
I'm so excited for more of this series, Hong Kong has such a hugely diverse collection of street foods to investigate and enjoy. I had no idea Kinki was nervous to be speaking English, she sounded so confident! I hope she can feel more comfortable in the future because she was adorable and clearly a local expert on great snacks. ;D
So glad to see this series! I have been watching your vids back to while I was studying in Korea and Japan and I just quite recently moved to HK for work. I am a (sort of retired) food blogger who seldom writes anymore because of work but I really am thankful that you're putting all these effort in exploring new things so that I know what to do during my off days working in this very hectic city! So thank you! Also you may want to use a stabilizer for your camera (those that looks like a driving wheel or simply those that has a handle) and teach your assistant how to shoot a little! it's quite harsh on the eyes for this one :S.
Your voice is so perfect for voice over work. This was such a fun episode. I can't wait to see more! :D I love seeing different types of food from other countries and it is just so darn cool you're doing this! Thank you taylor :)
Taylor I love this series already. And I loved Kinki she was adorable and so informative :) I know you're not vegan but a vegan episode in HK would actually be amazing. Also I don't know if you have any plans to but you should visit Taiwan! You're so close by and it's my favourite place I've ever been.
Taiwan is weird... I've been to Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand - all the places that 'you should melt' and I didn't. Then last year I went there for just two days, ignored everyone telling me it's going to be hot... and it freaking was :D I would never visit Taiwan during summer again :D but any other time of the year - yes, please! awesome place, affordable, night food markets are amazing!
OH GOD SO HOT. I'm from Ireland so pretty much no matter how much people warned me I could not hack the heat. Once I sort of accepted that I was going to be a sweaty mess the whole time I was there (for a family wedding in JULY ;_;) I was kinda OK with it though.
Watching this at 11pm at night, was such a bad idea... I can’t go to sleep and I am so hungry now. Why did I do this to myself... hahaha!!! But I absolutely love this new series already Taylor! Positive that this will be an awesome project. You just made my fridays that much better ❤️
This is an awesome series Taylor!!! Kinki is so adorable. And wow, that last rice noodle dish really got me (drooling). Want to go to Hong Kong so badly now!
I've never been so early. Really excited about this new series - and hearing about being backed up on videos 👏😊. Camera was pretty shaky throughout the video though, yeah? No hate on new assistant, Elbow San seemed to have a steadier hand when he helped film though
This ep is so good! the audio is seriously good!! we can hear you so well and a bit of the background noise and its really nice! can't wait until friday !
20 min video feels like a minute😘You’re so brave for trying the stinky tofu. I don’t know why but I love the name 😂 So true don’t wear white.. I always end up wearing my food. I have never seen any of these dishes before, now I really want to try some of them. I love your new series, Taylor. Your videos are always very informative and fun❤️
it actually tastes really well, especially with the sauces but the smell is a killer - I always said me and my husband nearly didn't get married because of it as we had a fight over something related to the wedding and the smell of stinky tofu on hot and humid day made us even more annoyed haha :-) but stinky tofu itself is very nice!
Omg watching this made me so hungry and miss Hong Kong so much! Love how you had Kinki a HK local take you to all these hidden gems only locals would know about. Can't wait for future eps!
Yeah!! A new food series! She was so kind to help you along! I want to try the fish balls with the sauce. She makes it seem like it would taste Heavenly! Such a cool video Tay!! 💗👏🏻😀
I love the idea behind this new series. Whenever I travel, I have a hard time deciding what to eat especially when the food is very foreign and very different from at home. I'm a picky eater, but getting an informative guide will honestly help me out so much when choosing food. Thanks Taylor! ❤️
When you watch people eat food that looks so delicious and is never available in your country.. food envyyyy. ♥ I am getting hangry. So I need food. Great video! xoxo Alex
Great new series! I would suggest that your new cameragirl work on holding the camera still during shots when you aren't moving around. Check out 12:50-13:30. There is no reason that the camera should be moving around so much while you two are totally stationary, unless she is zooming in on something relevant. I hope this came off as constructive criticism, as I really like this new filming style! :)
I'm wondering if the assistant isn't watching through the camera at those times. Either way. a retracting unipod would help a lot with this. Should be able to get one that works with the steady-cam arm, which can also help with the weight as she can have it supported when she doesn't need to move around much.
oh i really like this new series! it's always a fun time if food is involved. i'm looking forward to the next episode. *A* so, uhm i'm a bit worried to write this next thing because i don't want to be rude at all, but miss assistant's filming is still quite shaky in this video. now, a suggestion! i feel like it would be great (if there is any time for this) if she could perhaps practice filming, like small exercises? for example, capture things in motion while walking, zooming in without blur, taking in the scenery, etc. just simple things. you could set off twenty minutes for this a week? but if not, she can still practice on her freetime with her cell phone or an old camera. yes, that was all. //idk i feel like this post will be buried, but oh well.
Absolutely love this style of video! It is so cool to see how different food is all around the world, and this made me want to go to Hong Kong so bad! Looking forward to more Foodie Fridays!
danielanaimor I think her assistant is just bad at shooting in general. A stabilizer won't help with bad taking frames. I've seen videos recorded on mobile phones yet still better than this. Unfortunately, hiring an assistant harmed her videos quality imo
Lilith Nox yes I don't know her but can clearly see her level of shooting which is really bad it ruined the video experience. I'm not criticizing "her" as a person. I'm criticizing her video shooting.
some parts are really shaky so i think she should grab the camera closer to her for steady but other then that this point of view is great ! tay assistant is really great and i love this new kind of videos
This episode made me very happy. Tay, that outfit is sensational and Kinki was a joy to watch with you. I loved the atmosphere and the shots. I wanna go street food shopping in Hong Kong too now. Excellent!
As someone that had grew up in HK but moved to Canada, its nice to see local foods or anything thats changed with HK over these last 10 years.. thank you Taylor for the video. brings back lots of memories, and will for sure try these exact shop for food in the future.
Taytay- if your budget allows, i think hiring a graphic designer to do fonts and transition shots (idk proper video jargon) would be a nice step up for you. I’m thinking in the realm of Jenn Im (clothesencounters). Just a thought! 💓
I wonder if that means buying a helicopter cam, which may be illegal to use to get a wide pan for you idea... I don't know if you like the idea or not, but it sounds like a fun way to loose a lot of money quickly! (I know I am clutz!)
Claire-Muriel Maslen not sure if you are replying to me, but I mentioned nothing about the footage she is taking. I just meant editing the font and things like that. But it’s totally up to Tay, I just simply threw an idea out there.
I don't get why Taylor didn't hire a proper cameraman/woman who knows what they're doing... This series would be so much better if it weren't for the amateur filming. At this point, she's wasting money on the assistant, cause she can film way better by herself imo
I think the assistant is still learning at this point. It’s a learning curve, and mistakes will be made at first. They’ve not done too much on the street stuff since she was hired so she will have chance to get better. I think maybe a little course in camera skills would be of benefit to her.
This series is a really nice idea. i love the idea of doing it with locals and asking random people(like the taxi driver), and the parts where you explain how its made. The parts where it just shows you walking with some nice background music is nice but could be a little longer and show a little more(the area, the food, you/or others eating) to give it more of a fun/adventures vibe
I normally love Taylor's videos. She's so funny and interesting. But this time I couldn't pay attention to what she was saying as I was so distracted by the shaky camera action and some of the time Taylor's head was out of the shot and I was left just looking at her mid section. Disappointed :( Hopefully next video will be better x
I need to stop reading the comments cause its so frustrating to see people complain about the shaky camera. You try holding a huge camera set up for hours. It has a more natural feel and it takes practice so stap.
This series seems like it will be so awesome!! I love seeing you have new people on your videos and watching them relax and open up throughout the day, and I really think that’s because you’re so fun and kookie and you just give people the space to be themselves. I also think having your assistant film really worked for this kind of video, the only thing that gets to me a bit is the shakyness of the shots that are a bit longer, plus it seems like she struggles with keeping you in the centre of the shot. But I think she will get better, I only wanted to mention because I do think she is an awesome addition, and I want to see her do her best ❤️
I'm a very cynical person, so every time I see videos like these I can't help but wonder if the person is being polite or exaggerating to sell the experience. Anthony Bourdain admitted to doing this to not offend the cooks at times even though he ended up stuck on the crapper for an hour afterwards. Not saying this is what's happening here but the thought was running through my mind the whole time.
I love this idea, I'm looking forward for more episodes. Getting the insight of the places and the food is so interesting and very useful (especially if you wan to travel to Hong Kong)
This is so good! I'm so excited about these series! I hope you show us a lot of the different foods and flavors Hong Kong has to offer, and maybe even travel to other regions to taste the traditional food :) Love you Tay ❤️
So excited for this series! I was born and raised in the US but go to HK often to visit extended family, and I can't wait to try all your recommendations next time I go!
This series is awesome! I'm so excited for the next one, and I rarely get into TH-cam series! I've got to say, watching the evolution of your channel since I've been a subscriber (2 or 3 years?) has been extraordinary. The style of your video is ever-changing, and you are constantly striving for better content and giving your subscribers what they want. I honestly feel like you're one of only a few TH-camrs I watch who take their job as a vlogger seriously and aim for quality content. I love how seriously you take this as a career
Loved the episode! I would like to see more shots of the food, more stabilized filming and maybe some more background music? But the music thing might just be a personal preference. I love the idea of seeing you explore HK! Can’t wait to see more ❤️
This felt like a professional travel show! Very nice, can't wait for more in the series!
The production quality on this video is awesome!
Yes!! Seriously so well done!
I agree. Finding good guest is tough...but you found a very charming and intereting "expert". IAlso, I'm really not a foody person ( quite the opposite in fact!) but, this video is definitely in my top 5 in all your videos Taylor...Can't wait to see what's next in this serie.

Its definitely a travel channel feel. I love it I can't wait for the next episode of eating with Taylor food Friday. I couldn't remember the real title.
Eating food with foodies Friday
Taylor food Friday is good name hahaa!
Great video Taylor and very informative! My husband grew up in Hong Kong and I enjoy your videos about HK culture and food as it gives me more insight. He loves all these snacks and I think I might give stinky tofu another try with sauce this time!

7:35 i thought that smiling guy in the photo behind her was watching her through a window
win win Me too 🤣 I was thinking "That guys super creepy, hes not even blinking"
SAME. I was like wow he's excited
OMG
OMG me too
Look closer at the video, he was serving behind the counter. Probably the owner.
Tell Kinki she did a great job!!
AHHAHAAHHAAHHA
Omg Tay, I really love this!😍 I can’t wait for more episode of this😊
I’m so sleep deprived from finals that I read the video notification as King Kong foods
ToriPeebs 😂😂😂😂
Same. Im looking at HK food videos instead of studying for finals....good luck lol
skyeric875 Ayyyy you too!
😂😂😂
LMFAO
I love Kinki so much. She really knows so much local foods. Want to see her again for introduce the Hong Kong foods to another country! Nice job!
Kinki did so well! She had no reason to be nervous! I love food channels and I'm so excited to start watching these every Friday!
I love how it feels like a mini documentary, and since it's about my favorite subject of food, with a youtuber I love to watch, it's perfect!
I love the name it's the the Triple F series... F.F.F (Foods with Foodies on Fridays) love 💛
Island Baby that’s brilliant and so catchy!
This is officially one of my favourite videos on your channel!! As a foodie person myself (now on a diet) I'm living for you trying these foods that I hope to try as well one day. Im so excited for this series.
In looove with this!!! Love to see you grow in your channel and be part of this! Keep going Taylor!!!! Hugs from CHILE✨✨

Taylor I love this series already. And I loved Kinki she was adorable and so informative :) I know you're not vegan but a vegan episode in HK would actually be amazing. Also I don't know if you have any plans to but you should visit Taiwan! You're so close by and it's my favourite place I've ever been.

I actually live in Ireland right now! but in near future we move to HK :-) currently 'enjoying' lovely Spring of 14C and rain :D!
I was planning on having a vegan episode! Glad to hear that you want one!❤️
yes I'd definitely appreciate a vegan one :)
Did the stabilizer you bought not work?
omg tay your content has evolved into really quality one, i'm really pleased with this series
Watching this at 11pm at night, was such a bad idea... I can’t go to sleep and I am so hungry now. Why did I do this to myself... hahaha!!! But I absolutely love this new series already Taylor! Positive that this will be an awesome project. You just made my fridays that much better ❤️

My Hong Kong Husband I’m glad yo made it to the altar😁
Omg watching this made me so hungry and miss Hong Kong so much! Love how you had Kinki a HK local take you to all these hidden gems only locals would know about. Can't wait for future eps!
I can't believe you've lived in Hong Kong for so long and never tried street food 😭 I'm so glad you enjoyed them!!
Loved this!!! This is the first video of yours that I’ve watched all the way through in a long time. Can’t wait to keep up with this series.
I like Kinki shes super cool and her outfit is dope... Good video Tay Tay.
Kinki is such a sweet girl! Looking forward to the next episode in this series, it's a really great idea 😄
I like the way she pronounces sauce :D Source
Otaku Senpai 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Star Saku you are right :D
Otaku Senpai wait... how else do you pronounce it? XD teach me senpai
Clumsy Simone sauce, not source ;b
I pronounce source and sauce the same. But then again, I am Aussie and we never emphasise the R sound in any word xD
Yeah!! A new food series! She was so kind to help you along! I want to try the fish balls with the sauce. She makes it seem like it would taste Heavenly! Such a cool video Tay!! 💗👏🏻😀
Love this. And her English was great, she shouldn't be nervous. We love a multilingual girl over here
I love the idea behind this new series. Whenever I travel, I have a hard time deciding what to eat especially when the food is very foreign and very different from at home. I'm a picky eater, but getting an informative guide will honestly help me out so much when choosing food. Thanks Taylor! ❤️
OMG YES!! i love food and food culture!! Aaah this is my dream segment for your channel I am so happy ! 😭😭
I’m so down for this series!!! It’s awesome that you are working with these segments! I hope you have others in the works!!!!!
This makes me hungry it's already midnight here. 🍡🍢🍲
Excellent series!! The whole episode feels so professional and it’s super fun to watch. Thank you so much for sharing this!
When you watch people eat food that looks so delicious and is never available in your country.. food envyyyy. ♥ I am getting hangry. So I need food. Great video! xoxo Alex
This was fantastic! I loved all of the facts popping up. The audio was amazing, and Kinki's English was great!

Awesooome!! Taylor that THE THING! I´m sooo looking forward to this series! Love it
Yes! Bravery pays off with stinky tofu :-)
Love the docu-style for these episodes! Great job Taylor!! Your narration is really great!!
Perfect series for Hong Kong (and Japan) 🙌🙌🙌
OMG! This series is my cup of tea! I am a Hong Kong foodie and I really wish to meet you one day in Hong Kong! Can't wait for the next episode!!>
oh i really like this new series! it's always a fun time if food is involved. i'm looking forward to the next episode. *A*
so, uhm i'm a bit worried to write this next thing because i don't want to be rude at all, but
miss assistant's filming is still quite shaky in this video. now, a suggestion! i feel like it would be great (if there is any time for this) if she could perhaps practice filming, like small exercises? for example, capture things in motion while walking, zooming in without blur, taking in the scenery, etc. just simple things. you could set off twenty minutes for this a week? but if not, she can still practice on her freetime with her cell phone or an old camera. yes, that was all. //idk i feel like this post will be buried, but oh well.
Absolutely love this style of video! It is so cool to see how different food is all around the world, and this made me want to go to Hong Kong so bad! Looking forward to more Foodie Fridays!
the shaky camera was too much(even when she stands still!), i'm so dizzy right now!
yes and in the beginning it constantly pans down
Yay! Taylor this was a great video! Loved the tour type vibe to it. Very cool to see more of Hong Kong.
it took me more time than I care to admit to realise that when you were eating the smelly tofu that was a picture behind you not someone photobombing
Lmao same
This video series idea is so much fun can't wait to see more. Love you Taylor
Tay tay needs and stabilizer for the one with the camera... its SO shakyyyy :(
danielanaimor I think her assistant is just bad at shooting in general.
Kinki shouldn't be nervous she did great!! Awesome video can't wait to see more!
the camera is so shaky.. 😣 no hate on your assistant, but I miss the good old days when you were filming yourself. 🙈
PeachKeki I honestly prefer it this way, even with the slight shakiness, makes it feel real and more personal
I think those kind of videos are suited to be filmed by someone else because it's more practical but yeah, the camera work needs a bit of improvement.
some parts are really shaky so i think she should grab the camera closer to her for steady but other then that this point of view is great ! tay assistant is really great and i love this new kind of videos
It was shaky when their were a lot of people around them it may be difficult to move film and avoid people without shaking a bit
Lilith Nox i think she already did a couple of weeks ago. 🙈
This episode made me very happy. Tay, that outfit is sensational and Kinki was a joy to watch with you. I loved the atmosphere and the shots. I wanna go street food shopping in Hong Kong too now. Excellent!
The sound Quality was really good
As someone that had grew up in HK but moved to Canada, its nice to see local foods or anything thats changed with HK over these last 10 years.. thank you Taylor for the video. brings back lots of memories, and will for sure try these exact shop for food in the future.
I probs shouldnt watch this while hungry but oh well 🤷♂️
Abby Rose Same here
I really liked this's can't wait for the next episode and Kinki's English was really good and clear, she has nothing to worry about
Taytay- if your budget allows, i think hiring a graphic designer to do fonts and transition shots (idk proper video jargon) would be a nice step up for you. I’m thinking in the realm of Jenn Im (clothesencounters). Just a thought! 💓

Sorry I guess ‘illustrating’ instead of ‘editing’ would be a more accurate description.
This was sooo fun to watch and very professional! I can't wait for more!
The camera was so shaky 🙁
Banana Potato no it wasn't. It was much better than previous videos
Nah. That was shaky af
her assistant sucks at filming
I don't get why Taylor didn't hire a proper cameraman/woman who knows what they're doing... This series would be so much better if it weren't for the amateur filming. At this point, she's wasting money on the assistant, cause she can film way better by herself imo
I think the assistant is still learning at this point. It’s a learning curve, and mistakes will be made at first. They’ve not done too much on the street stuff since she was hired so she will have chance to get better. I think maybe a little course in camera skills would be of benefit to her.
I’m really excited to watch these series , they are definately going to be my highlight on fridays!x
Please please please use stabiliser or handycam 🙏🏻 love the content but the camerawork is so so shaky my head is spinning
Disappointed :( Hopefully next video will be better x
wtf this was so exciting i didnt even notice any shaky camera
Very impressed with this!! Really excited for the ones to come...also, love the way she said "saurce", so adorable!
Hey Taylor, i know your assistant is lovely, but I think... she really have to improve her technique on taking video...
This felt like a travel channel show with a TayTay touch! Love it and can't wait for more!
I'm so hungry right now
YES THAT‘S A FANTASTIC SERIES I LOVE IT ALREADY and so glad to see more of Hong Kong!
Loved this video and this new series! Kinki did such a great job with English and was super cute and funny!
DRINK A SHOT OF WATER
every time you hear
the word SAUSE !!

I love this idea, I'm looking forward for more episodes. Getting the insight of the places and the food is so interesting and very useful (especially if you wan to travel to Hong Kong)
6:08 😁
This is so good! I'm so excited about these series! I hope you show us a lot of the different foods and flavors Hong Kong has to offer, and maybe even travel to other regions to taste the traditional food :) Love you Tay ❤️
Come to korea♡
This is really exciting ❤️I can't wait for the next one and Kinky spoke English really well!! Now I just need a workout series, lol.
Plz start filming yourself again 🙏🏻

When I couldn’t love Taylor more she does this 😭 Food blogs and shows are my guilty pleasure ❤️
This was so fun! Love it Taylor! Great job!!
Loved!!!! Can't wait for the next one!!!
So excited for this series! I was born and raised in the US but go to HK often to visit extended family, and I can't wait to try all your recommendations next time I go!
I love this series, Taylor! I'll be checking in next Friday.
Starting this series is a great idea Taylor, I’m very interested to watch it!
