I'm an old guy, but this device changed my life! I had so much paper as a 30 year high school teacher and teacher manager that I was swamped in paper! I got the remarkable and OMGGGG it is everything now! I can do all those things I did on paper on here, even creating all my work logbooks I can write on and save. LOOK AT IT THIS WAY,...I got ny first Remarkable on a trip to Norway two years ago. It's a Norwegian company and can be bought in the U.S. online. So now, they have made a new one all color and with backlit screen called the Paper Pro. Basically it’s what they call E-ink or electronic notebook like instead of keeping a spiral notebook. I keep everything on here in PDF including my in-class support log pages I created. You can open a logbook page and just write on it like it’s paper. So buying their Paper Pro with the stylus, the keyboard & cover its $800, if you buy the new iPad Air it would be $1500 with the Apple Pencil, the tablet and the keyboard. I could not do this stuff easily on my iPad and not be distracted as ADHD as I am. I LOVE THIS and have already ordered my Paper Pro. LOVEEEE ITTTT!!!
I completely agree! I just ordered my new Paper Pro after recently buying the remarkable 2. Just missed the cutoff for the 100 day approval period. So I cannot return it. But I am going to give my R2 to my son who is a Financial Advisor to use in client meetings and organizing them. I am wondering if this device can somehow sync with my Outlook Calendar?
I am Norwegian for time in Los Angeles area in California, USA now. This is unique device that is different from Amazon Kindle or similar devices because it’s more accessible and can do even more, so I agree with this. I am hearing impaired with Cochlea Nucleus 7 on both sides and I consider to buy it, but later in Norway since I am on vacation. I love to see a Norwegian company like this is making big success.
Wow, this has so much character and thought put into it! From the color coordination of the background, shirt, painted nails, lipstick (and even the pink highlighter color) to your electric presence on camera. Nice video! 10/10
I love my ReMarkable2. I'm glad to see that they have kept the essential feel in the new version. I read "colour" in the specs and was expecting to hate the Pro. But it looks great.
Definitely buying this one day. Got a remarkable 2 last year and I love it, but I do wish it had color and I could use it in the dark. Hopefully by the time I need a new one this one will come down in price and have third parties making folios and pens for it.
Really useful to see the side-by-side. The increased responsiveness is breathtaking. The screen is noticeably darker, I wonder how much of an impairment that is IRL.
EXCELLENT REVIEW! I currently use a Supernote A5X; I love it. But, I can hardly wait to experience the color & light on that BEAUTIFUL Remarkable Paper Pro. THANK YOU!
I enjoyed your video on the reMarkable Paper Pro. I have been using a reMarkable 2 for about a year and love it. I just ordered my Paper Pro and look forward to getting it. Keep up the great work (a fellow lefty).
Love your enthusiasm! I ordered the Pro a few days ago (I have had the R2 for 3 years). While waiting for it to arrive (ah--why so long?) I am upping my knowledge game so that I use this new amazing device to its full capacity.

Thanks a lot for the great review of an exciting new product. I guess, a lot of people couldn't wait for the real upgrade of the remarkable 2, and now we got this next, indeed remarkable step of remarkable evolution. Would like to try it out. Thanks and good luck! PS: I hope it will be available in Germany as well soon!
I've been looking at the RM2 for a few weeks/months, so I am glad that i've delayed as much as I have. This looks like the way to go with all the extra features. I just hope it has good integration with other productivity apps like google, Office 365 etc. It's a great way to get away from your laptop but also makes information retention go in better than typing in meetings/lectures.
It doesn't directly integrate with the main productivity apps like Office, Google, etc, but rather allows backup to cloud storage to Google, Dropbox, OneDrive. So, for example, I use OneDrive - so I simply installed the Remarkable desktop app and keep that reference folder in my OneDrive cloud folder. That way it continuously backs up. They also have a very reasonable cloud license, $2.99/month in the US at least, that continuously backs up to a cloud service they provide.
The reMarkable Paper Pro has a more grey background and the reMarkable 2 has a more white background. I'd buy the reMarkable 2 just for that reason - I like the contrast of black on white. Black on grey doesn't seem pleasant to the eye to me.
I love this!! I love my RM2 and can not wait for my pro to arrive. But now I’m torn on getting the type folio 🤦🏽♀️ I wasn’t going to but now I feel like I want it 😂
I just pre-ordered the Samsung Tab S10 Ultra, coming from the Tab S7+. I still kind of want one of these, even though I don't use the note-taking capabilities a ton. I feel like if I had one these, I'd use it for notes way more than my Samsung tablets due to its size, weight, battery life, and overall pen feel. Plus, I wouldn't be nearly as distracted because it doesn't support entertainment or social media apps.
I have the Onyx Tab Ultra C, which I really like, I know these devices work for many many years (still have a kindle from 2015!) but definitely when I want to change it, I will get a Remarkable, looks amazing

I had literally bought another Remarkable 2 tablet on August 28th and like a day later I got the email to watch their new launch video. Needless to say, I hate to do a return, but I am returning it right away to get this new one 🙂
I miss a lot of important information here... that the screen is eink... that is lasts weeks for one charge, not hours like tablets... that its not backlit but crontlit so it doesn't keep you awake and doesn't mess with your circadian rhythm... that's it the first eink panel that actually has colour ink inside... other colour eink screens are actually black and white and use special layer on top that changes grayscale into colour but also dims the screen...

I mean you must know that nobody’s taking you seriously anymore, but it’s still fun to watch your optimism 😂 I just wonder how much did you ask from reMarkable to praise their expensive and slow product with old display technology…
I have one question: In my opinion, the primary (and perhaps only) advantage of devices like the Remarkable over actual paper is their searchability. I currently use the Boox Note Air, but I find searching through handwritten notes to be excruciatingly slow, especially when there are a lot of notes. It seems the device doesn’t create a searchable index in the background, nor does it save the index generated after a previous search. How is the search functionality on the Remarkable?

Oh, iJustine is excited as always with everything. The most easily pleased TH-camr that ever lived. I mean you must know that nobody’s taking you seriously anymore, but it’s still fun to watch your optimism 😂 I just wonder how much did you ask from reMarkable to praise their expensive and slow product with old display technology…
Love it, very cool. I also saw your original video.
The black color looks blue. Is that really so, or is it just in the video?
ugh i should have waiting 4 months to get the remarkable i love it but color is a game changer
It does seem cool and useful to those that need something like this. but the price seems crazy for what it does.
Would’ve liked to see the r lasso tool. And book marks. And arranging notes or parts of notes to be a cohesive project.
Can it do any or all of that?
Fellow leftie here, but noticed you wear your watch on the left! Does it get in the way with writing?
If they will put the good notes app on the device I will buy it immediately !!
Hi there! Thank you for the video! Wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing which brand of microphone you were using? Studio microphone on your desk - pink color. Thank you!
