Thank you Mikey. I knew I could find a key bowl by you. My son asked for a bowl for his keys and Crochet Crowd was my first place to look. I enjoyed it so much I have now made three of the bowls as gifts.
This is the most beautiful project I have ever attempted. Thank you Mikey for the great instruction you make it so easy to follow. I am so very proud of my bowl and will be making some for my family. Thank you again Mikey. It’s just a gorgeous bowl and I did it. 19:02
I absolutely love this bowl pattern. I have made 3 now. The first following the video. The second using one strand of acrylic and one strand of stiffer cotton. The third was made with an oval base of hdc and then as the pattern states. I love all three!!! Oh, and your tutorials rock! Simple, to the point, but full of life (so many tutorials are soooo boring).
Regarding 'identifying the first stitch of a round' I always use a stitch marker. I lose count every time and cannot work in the round without them. I never have to go back more than a few repeats if my count is ever off, instead of Frogging a whole round. Sometimes I use a paperclip if if I can't find any
Thank you 😊 I am subbing the yarn with Bernat Pop! from my stash. At the side transition, I dropped down to a 5.5mm hook (standard for me when doing bowls/baskets).
Thanks for the great pattern! I love look and shape of your bowl. Mine however….anyone like pastel throw up? Anyone? I also had a problem with the 1st section lying flat. Frogged 3 times looking for those extra stitches and never found them - after counting the correct number of stitches every row I just let it go. I plan to make another one but with different yarn and going up in hook size. Great video!
Thanks Mickey, love the finished bowl and love your tutorial. Just a small question please, does the ridge from crocheting into the back loop from the start of the side end up inside the bowl or underneath the bowl?
Mikey, I’m looking for some help and I was taught go to the best source. Your it! I’m looking for some Caron cakes color cherry chip I want 5-6 cakes are you able to help me find some? Thanks in advance! Roberta
Hi! These are great... Wondering though, are they "bowls" or "cowls"? heehee! (seriously, though, thought folks might not find them if searching for "bowls"). 🌿M
I'm confused. The basket in the thumbnail looked much smaller. This basket is much bigger than I was expecting. Is there another part or is it just the angle of the picture? Don't get me wrong. I like this basket a lot, I just need a small one for now. Love your tutorials because you always make me smile. Thank you so much for sharing this. I wish you the very best in all things. ✌🏻💐🐾🧵🇺🇸
Both baskets are in the same video. The small basket is 8" diameter. If you follow the video description for the link, I have more pictures on the article.
@@TheCrochetCrowd oh OK. It just looked smaller in the thumbnail. I guess I really am getting old. 😂 Thank you so much for getting back to me. I really appreciate it. This is a lovely basket. 💟
Hi Mikey! Thank you so much for a really lovely pattern! Was wondering if it’s ok to sell a finished product made using this pattern, of course with credit for the pattern given to you?
I live near Columbus, OH, and couldn't find it here either. I'm thinking maybe Hobby Lobby "I Love This Yarn" in a couple of the "pattern" yarns would work.
Well, I'm stumped - can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?! I'm doing the large bowl and I can not get the bottom to sit flat, after row 5 or so it just gets wavier and wavier🥺 I've checked and rechecked, frogged and re-done several times - my stitch count is correct, gauge seems fine ..... I know it's something on my end but what 🤷 I am more than a beginner but obviously not yet an intermediate 😆 Have frogged for the last time and off to do some more research, don't worry I'll be back to give this another go 🥰
Does anyone know how much yarn is needed for this project? Do 3 balls of melange make more than one bowl? Because using 3 balls of that would be a very expensive basket. It is very nice and I would like to make some for gifts, but not if they are $20 apiece. I looked up both small and large pattern and it doesn't say the yardage, just that 3 different colored balls are used.

I’m glad it’s on TH-cam because I can’t find it on the web site.

Omgosh yes! I do the same thing! I just wouldn't be able to crochet in the round without a stitch marker!

Just finished the small basket using Red Heart 4ply yarn. It’s what I had on hand. I love it and thank you so much for the pattern/video.
I absolutely love this pattern and the top brim finish not only looks great but gives it a much firmer edge. Thank you Mikey❣️
Love this pattern, best basket ever,I done 4 today!
Love it! Made my first small bowl and this is now definitely going to be my go to pattern for making baskets/bowls. Thanks Mikey!
Run all strands thru a bead helps make sure you keep using three! I love to make baskets.
I'm definitely going to make these and possibly use some as plant pot covers in my new home. I absolutely love how these turn out with the marling
Awesome tutorial, thanks so much! I learned some things even though I’ve been crocheting for 50 years ❤
Just finished making this , I love it . Thankyou ❤
I love this pattern! I love all your videos they are so fun and helpful.
That’s so cool! I love how it kind of looks like a cauldron.
What a fantastic idea 💡. Thank you for the tutorial 😊.

Same here. Frogged 3 times, stitch count perfect, gauged perfectly and still not flat… why?
Perfect my my random balls of “roll with me “. Thanks
Love love love this basket.
Love it❤❤❤. It has a rustic look….will definitely try it👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

What a great tutorial!!! I can't wait to make one of these. Thank you so much 💓

Awesome pattern!!!

You may sell your finished work made with the patterns from The Crochet Crowd.
❤❤❤ thank you SO much
Should the number of base rounds be in odd numbers for different sizes Ie. 7, 9, 11, 13 etc?
I love it !
I cannot find that yarn ANYWHERE. Maybe I have to go to Denver to find it...

I have made 2 baskets so far and I think I have enough yarn left for a 3rd basket (small size)
