I been crocheting for over 20-something years. I was on Facebook marketplace negotiating baskets for my flowers. Then I ran into this video and it never hit me to crochet one! LOL. I love this pattern! Going to be making this for my flowers in my kitchen. Thank you!
This was my first basket. It is a struggle working with such a rigid cord, but it worked out. It took me about 4 hours total, maybe a little less. It is smaller than i expected, so i bought 2 more of the cord to make a bigger basket. This tutorial is very well done. You didn't miss a detail and walked me through my project every step of the way. This was a great confidence booster for a new crocheter. Thank!!
Love the tutorial. Made one exactly like the video and made another one rectangle. So so cute. Both were gifts. TY Claudetta ❤😊 Love the YarnArt spectrum yarn too. Fantastic colors.
Oh, finely someone who is tolling all the time just to the point of what is doing. I'm so glad for this video. Never done crochet before, but I'm sure my basket will look perfect thanks you. I will definitely check rest of your videos. Thank you and all the best ❤️
I saw a basket pattern starting with a magic ring when I was searching for a pattern that adds binding wire to it yesterday. Though I eventually mastered the magic ring after weeks of struggle with it at the start of my crochet journey, I still prefer this pattern. It's just so easy and comfortable to work with.
This is a great tutorial! I just want to add that I used the red heart black 5mm yarn I had to do 2 sets of single crochet in the back loop to get my bend. It all depends on the texture/size/density of the yarn. Thank you so much for the tutorial very helpful!
@@Chelle201 well in her tutorial for the back loop she only does one single crochet “row” all the way around. I did that but then I did a single crochet row all the way around for a 2nd time
Thank you, I’m using Red Heart too but in Paddy Green. Dunno what thickness though but I think it’s 5mm. Im using a 5.75mm hook. I dunno how it’ll turn out because I haven’t start yet but I hope that it works.
I wish we had that kind of cotton where I live. I love how it has different colors throughout the roll. Thank you so much for sharing this easy tutorial on how to make a basket. 😃
Are you in Canada? I also could not find this kind of cord at a reasonable price but there seems to be some stuff that is more affordable on Temu BUT Temu does not list the cord weight. Amazon had this same cord but it was almost $17 a roll CAD.
That yarn has amazing stitch definition!! And I love the simplicity of the basket. This is an excellent tutorial! Thank you! I am going to add this to my list of projects!
Hi Claudette my name is Barbara . I’m quite new in crochet . I like to see when you crochet , you explain nice and clear and when you go in stitch I could see in what stitch . Thanks , I will thy this for sure
Thank you so much for making this video. I've been trying to find an easy way to make a basket and I hadn't had any luck until I came across yours it'sso easy thank you again for making the video.btw this is my first basket.
What a sweet little basket! Perfect for gift giving with a few crocheted washcloths! As always your tutorials make it so easy to follow and are very encouraging!
I just started crocheting 2 days ago and have found tutorials using the magic ring, it terrifies me since it looks so confusing. With this pattern I am able to easily crochet a basket for my mom. Thanks for posting and creating this video!
Love this basket 😍 I’m getting ready to get yarn to make my first basket & I was wondering from more experienced crocheters here… what is the best yarn, macrame cord, tshirt yarn, etc… is the best to make a blanket with? I’ve heard many different opinions & would love as many opinions as I can get? Thank you to everyone of you who have taken time to help me & so many less experienced crocheters❣️ 🙋🏻♀️🦋🫶🏻
Very lovely! I look forward to making a few of these for my upstairs hallway closet. It will be great to store items in and easy access with the handles.
this is a beautiful basket. I love making baskets. I am hoping you can give us some specifics if we follow your tutorial can you tell us how much of the macramé yarn / cord we need and approx what size basket will result. This will help a great deal in what I plan for this. any helpful info would be awesome. Not really fond of making it to see what i come up with then make plans to make another for this project ..
Thank you so much for this easy tutorial. You helped me love crotchetting again and your explanation is super duper easy to understand. And i have a cute basket to boot 😁😁
Hi, I'm trying to make this and asked a question. I'm in the US and can't find the macrame yarn like she used, whats another yarn you said I could use? I appreciate the help! :)
HI I LOVE THIS BASKET AND YOUR TUTORIAL IS FABULOUS. SLOW, DESCRIBING THE STITCHED PERFECTLY AND WITH A STEADY WELCOMING VOICE. THANK YOU FOR THE CALMNESS OF YOUR PRESENTATION ALONG WITH THE KNOWLEDGE. I CAN'T WAIT TO GET STARTED. JUST 4 QUICK QUESTIONS- 1. HOW MANY SKEINS DO YOU NEED FOR THIS BASKET? 2. DO YOU HAVE ANY EXAMPLES OF BASKETS MADE WITH OTHER COLORS? IT IS HARD TO IDENTIFY THE COLOW BREAKOUT FROM JUST THE PHOTOS OF THE SKEINS ON END. 3. WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR LEATHER LABELS? 4. IS THERE AOTHER BRAND OF VARIEGATED YARN OF THIS TYPE WITH PERHAPS GREY- TIFFANY BLUE COLOR ROATION- JUST THE BRAND WOULD DO. THANKS AGAIN FOR THE LOVELY TUTORIAL- THANKS,NANCY

I love this and all was going perfect... so I thought I had no holes that I saw were like your watched over and over. I would assume that if you wanted to make a rectangle box you just make your base longer and follow the same pattern. Hopefully that is correct. Thank you very much I enjoy your videos and the mannerism in which you teach

This tutorial is very well done . For a beginner, many tutorials don't realize they go too fast, or fail to clearly show all details. Thank you!!!
FYI: You can go to settings and slow the video down if you wish.

Do I single crochet around the whole squat then start going into the back loops?
